ITAs are kind of forcing.

By EoD I will have either found a better place for that vote or will have found a better reason to keep it there.

To be honest, when I read the OP saying that all roles will have some sort of power, I thought all mafia were going to have powers or power roles that they could claim. No mafia goons.

So I thought that If I couldn't really decide anyone who was active in the thread as scummy before ITA's open, I should try to go for one of the low-posters since I thought that low-posting isn't exactly excusable even if a power role since technically we're all power roles. And heck, Daisy turned out to be right with her shot on the mafia who had only a single post (although I think my shot was done before that?).

That doesn't justify that I completely missed "Exalt" in the veto list, and nothing else will. I was eager to try and participate in the ITA's though, given that I read the MU articles before and and one of them had a theory or school of thought that said you should participate in ITA's as much as possible because there will only be 15-25% mafia in the group, and therefore much of the KP is in villager hands. I think I may have stressed on trying to think about ITA's too much.

I've read probably the same articles, participated for basically the same reasons, have also never been in any ITA game before, and overall think we are in very much the same place.

At first, she seemed intrigued with JPIC's shot on Tony, but once Tony flipped town, she was all eager for JPIC to get shot, which is kinda a weird 180 to me? I dunno. I don't like it though. Also, JPIC didn't really mention me being a reason why they shot Tony initially. I'll have to continue reading to see when he started using me as an additional reason why he shot TSP.

Yeah, I agree with this read on Poison.

There is a low level gut reaction where 'kill town--->kill you" makes a simple kind of sense. While I agreed initially I am not sure that isn't where Poisons's motivation comes from.

On a practical level, this thing with Hank is probably going to resolve Poison one way or the other at EoD so I wouldn't invest much time here.

JPIC, like me, was figuring out ITA Syndicate style for the first time. It took me a while to relate the...paint drop I guess?..icon into changing text color. It is totally possible that someone familiar with ITAs here would have seen things differently than JPIC, timewise.

c) It can be w/t or t/t and a legit attempt to kill mafia

JPIC, like me, was figuring out ITA Syndicate style for the first time. It took me a while to relate the...paint drop I guess?..icon into changing text color. It is totally possible that someone familiar with ITAs here would have seen things differently than JPIC, timewise.

That's what I'm saying though. Even if JPIC was familar with the ITAs, I feel like a minute (it could have been less since I'm going by forum time) is too short to respond to something at the pace we were going at the time. If anything, that strengthens my argument that JPIC probably didn't see Tony rescinding the claim that he can't be killed.

Why would it be a wolf role? Putting yourself at risk to potentially eliminate one person doesn't seem like a great wolf role. And there are probably better people to pick, if he wanted an easy target. Unless *all* of the wagons with 2+ votes are somehow on mafia, which I kinda doubt. Your points don't add up logically.

I think Hank is likely town, for similar reasons to why you are town-reading Poison. This is another thing I don't like about your post. You townread Poison for following his personal read and ITAing you. But you scumread Hank... for following his personal read and gladiating Poison. What's the difference?

I pulled a Daenarys and kinda forgot about the fact that Poison tried to shoot you. So yeah. Probably not a team there.

Hank/Poison is 100% not w/w. There's not enough passion in the reads to make it scum theatre. It's probably just v/v.

Full agreement.

My opinion, after all is said and done, is that JPIC has claimed a decently powerful town role and is likely to get killed by the wolves before I run out of better things to do with my limited kill power. Leaps to "kill JPIC immediately" were ill advised but might have been motivated by not understanding the time issue, as in by the time the result came back I think everyone had probably processed that Tony backed out of the unkillable thing. There is also that gut level response to just kill someone when they kill a townie, which I think is unfortunately real.

Out of these, I least like Poison's reaction. At first, she seemed intrigued with JPIC's shot on Tony, but once Tony flipped town, she was all eager for JPIC to get shot, which is kinda a weird 180 to me? I dunno. I don't like it though. Also, JPIC didn't really mention me being a reason why they shot Tony initially. I'll have to continue reading to see when he started using me as an additional reason why he shot TSP.

Yeah, I agree with this read on Poison.

There is a low level gut reaction where 'kill town--->kill you" makes a simple kind of sense. While I agreed initially I am not sure that isn't where Poisons's motivation comes from.

On a practical level, this thing with Hank is probably going to resolve Poison one way or the other at EoD so I wouldn't invest much time here.

That's a fair guess. If you had made that read on anyone else I'd have tried to take weight away from it as well. I mostly just don't like it when someone goes out of their way to analyze something and someone else comes along with a one liner "bad post" in response. Anyway, we're past that now and hopefully all good.

Moving on...

I do think it is a wolfy role. Not saying it's a good wolfy role that I would want as a wolf, but I sure wouldn't want it as town either, so <shrug>. It, or something much like it, was apparently just used on MU and it was a wolf role there. Not definitive but at least indicative.

Outside that I don't really read Hank as likely anything. His ISO is IMO typical low poster NAI. Not gonna jump up and down shouting "defend your read or pistols at dawn," but if you wanna point out what made you townlean there I will try to listen and learn.

The irritant to me in this whole mess is that I don't really have an inclination to "defend Poison." I hope that if she wins this duel, which I think she will, that Hank flips wolf. Not only because "wolf flip good" though wolf flip is certainly good. But I really don't see any way this is w/w and that would take Poison (for me) from moderately deep in POE to pretty solidly clear and I could stop working on that slot.

By the way Daenarys, I tried to shoot Poison too, which may not have been my finest hour if things go as I expect. In another odd coincidence, when she and I were trying to sort out our differences one of our "we disagree on this read so U R bad" issues turned out to be you, so that kind of added to the amusement when you came along.

hmm here's something off the wall i just thought of: using an ITA to take out a 3p means we still have our lynch to use for better things. pretty towny thing imo.
