I don't get the gist of this post, Sloonei. Are you saying that if this was a frame kill it was effective because it influenced bronana to suspect MJ more, or are you accusing bronana of setting up MJ? Both, neither, something else?

I'm realizing that i'm probably not gonna make it thru the whole thread by EOD at this rate, so i'm gonna change tack at some point. Not RN tho, I wanna finish D1 at least. Onward!

jsyk I am currently playing three games including this, obsessively spectating two others, and purportedly working at the same time, and even then I feel like I've done a fair bit more than the bare minimum here. whenever I've been available to do so I've been in the thread giving takes and interacting as time permits

nutella wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 12:45 am @bronana does the fact that tedxtr, turnip head, and marcher jovian were a triumvirate mean anything to you?
shrug

maybe with turnip head dying and marcher not in a great spot, maybe they decided to go ahead and kill ted too. takes out probably the biggest voice pushing marcher, possibly enabling them to survive longer, or worst case marcher dies anyway and so killing in that triumvirate wasn't a big deal regardless. me + others mentioned the possibility of the wolf nk avoiding their own triumvirates yesterday, and it's possible that discussion directly influenced the wolves to kill someone in a triumvirate that contained a wolf, too.

maybe it's just wifom

maybe the wolves weren't even thinking about it

it certainly doesn't exonerate marcher, if that's what you were suggesting. it doesn't particularly condemn them either, i don't really read into it that much after it was directly brought up as an item of discussion d1. wolves were surely aware people were thinking about this kind of thing.

If marcher is town then you have just fallen for a frame kill while denying that they exist.

It's possible. I never really know how to distinguish between third party and mafia in my hunting. I would expect there to be an independent role in this game, and outed wolf has not contributed a whole lot to the civilian effort.

I'm gonna continue to pursue outed wolf as he's regular old mafia.

You made a big point about how frame kills never happen. You then seemed to cite ted's death as one of several reasons to pursue marcher today.
If marcher is town then you have just fallen for a frame kill while denying that they exist.
I think you are town. I think Marcher is town as well.
if marcher is town, i doubt ted was killed to "frame" them. there could be a million other reasons to kill him, especially if wilgy is a wolf.

if they wanted to secure a marcher misyeet, silencing the loudest voice calling for their death was a strange move.

I don't disagree. I still think that ted was killed just because he was a strong civilian. I just felt like pointing out that you cited ted's death in your reasons to go after Marcher today after telling somebody else that frame kills aren't a thing because I'm a dick and it felt like you weren't listening to people.

What is the best reason to town read marcher?

i mean i was specifically responding to someone saying they couldn't follow why i wanted to resolve marcher, when the reasoning seemed quite straightforward and obvious to me. I already strongly wolfread marcher. The nightkill strongly wolfread marcher. Why would I not want to resolve marcher?

You're allowed to want to do that. My point wasn't to tell you not to do that. I just want to know that you're also considering other possibilities.

What is the best reason to town read marcher?

Spoiler: show
am i the only person who has thought outed wolf might be some kind of 3p or neutral role

cuz yeah there's not much solving or effort there, but he's not evne making any attempt at all to be villagy. it's a weird play if he's a wolf, and he is a very good wolf and it's not like the game is going badly enough for the wolves for him to be mentally checked out (the opposite!). idk. he's playing weird.
Spoiler: show
i haven't had this specific thought, but i have been rolling around in my head that his play is weird this game and i don't really get it if he's a wolf

i suppose that could make sense

idk

I honestly don't know. The townreads there are inexplicable to me. They are wolfy in this game and it also lines up with their wolf meta. I have made plenty of posts about this. I could be wrong but I have no real reason to townread them.

my impression was it was pretty much just "the host told us to banish him" but i suppose i'm also unsure how serious people were about that as an actual reason

i dunno, it was kinda strange how many people went for that to me

What's the worst post they've made in the game?
