cyan : That's what you did for town cred. there has not been any scum-hunting approach in your play, regardless of playstyle every town tries to scum hunt.112 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 1:19 pm Lies.
Everything I've done has made perfect sense.
I loved Tony like a brother, but I could never have supported what he did.
I'm casting around suspicion in a manner that implies I'm town, not scum, clearly.
The process of elimination bids us to hang Wilgy, not me.
I'm town, guysssssss.Seriously.
see this is what I'm talking about, you don't really care who you vote do you? you dont care if it's town or scum, you just want to lynch anyone instead of you.
lmao wdym I can do nothing wrong in your eyes, doc? are you pocketing me?DrWilgy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 5:29 pm So this game is very easy
112 - Weird Dichotomy with Hally.
Arete - On a team with Hally, not 112.
Ash Lael - Will blindly trust.
DrWilgy - Clearly scum
Epignosis - Could be scum.
Hally - My smooth brain doesn't understand mechanics, scum and will still yeet unless someone says that's a bad idea because of mechanics.
NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME - I have no clue why I don't scum read them.
Poison Chan - Will blindly trust. IDGAF fight me. Poison can do nothing wrong in my eyes.
By that merit, you have these classifications
Will just lose if they are scum:
Nook, Ash, Poison
Want to sort Hally/112 before:
Epi, Arete
Why are they still alive:
Hally, 112
so, I have done nothing more than my meta? I would say if you are reading me town only because of my meta, then you might as well null read me.Arete wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 6:17 pmPoisonArete wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 6:15 pmNanookArete wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 1:48 am112Arete wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 9:46 pm just going to ... go through each of my clears, I guess, and talk about why I'm clearing them/whether I think those reasons are still Good And Valid
posting this one at a time in case wolves randomly decide to kill me, for some reason? but this way I'll at least be able to get some thoughts out before EoN
Ash
why I am clearing Ash: Ash was one of the most driving forces behind the TSP wagon and was basically hardpushing him from the start of the game, TSP also seemed legitimately bothered by his push on him in a way that scum aren't usually bothered by their teammates' pushes on him and spent a fair amount of time trying to discredit it. Without Ash TSP ?probably? wouldn't have even been a major wagon on D1.
do I think this is still valid: yes, I do. while obviously bussing is a known phenomenon that exists, I doubt that Ash (who as I understand it is relatively less experienced)? would immediately hard-bus a more experienced partner. additionally, TSP's spew is a good look for him -- TSP spends the most time trying to discredit TSP's scumread on him out of any of the people that had been pushing him.
why I am clearing 112: I thought the thing where she came into the thread and immediately started calling the most consensus villagers wolves was a good look, I didn't think a wolf was likely to do that. Also, I thought the ways in which Tony hedged on her were most likely to indicate a wolf partner TMIing her V, rather than a W/W interaction.
do I think this is still valid: ...probably not, like, these are reasons that exist but I'm not sure they're strong enough to have 112 as lock V on D4 still
idk GTH 112 is still a villager but I'm less confident in that
why I am clearing Nanook: he "feels" like a villager, like, when I read his posts I'm like 'these feel like posts that were written by a villager and not posts that were written by a wolf.' His defense of TSP in itself is kind of WifoM but I think some aspects of how he handled it point to him being a wrong villager over him being a wolf - e.g. him clearing me for clearing TSP right after EoD1 doesn't really seem like a thing written about a partner trying to powerwolf. I ... don't really know how to explain it?
also some of his approach on D1 doesn't really feel like how a wolf would approach things, when Vul and I were dancing around each other I think a wolf with TMI that Vul and I were V/V would feel more pressure to maintain initial consistency with his early townread on me.
do I think this is still valid: ...yes but I can't really justify it? like, I would be really surprised if Nanook is a wolf here, but those don't feel like reasons that should still be valid on D4?
why I am clearing Poison: people keep saying she's lock V on meta
do I think this is still valid: uhhhhh I'm pretty sure the person who's been saying that the most is Hally who I now think has a good chance of flipping scum given how they've handled today. would be interested in hearing if other people who have familiarity with Poison's meta also think Poison is lock V.

if a town is about to get yeeted they would try to survive while trying to find or lynch a scum.
In this scenerio, if we lynch 'anyone" which the scum would want us to do cause that mught win them the game, it wouldn't matter for them as long as they don't get yeeted instead.

would you care if you town wins or loses this game with just anyone dying who is not you?Epignosis wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 12:42 amWhen I'm a civilian, I don't care who dies as long as it isn't me.Poison wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 12:40 amArete wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 12:33 amThere isn't at the same time there is.

if i survived the virus, would you treat me as mechanically cleared?Ash Lael wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 1:00 am I kind of hate the no-claiming rule.
On one hand I feel like any townie who could prevent their own death should do so. I also feel like a townie who demonstrated their ability to survive in certain circumstances would be all but mech-cleared In my eyes.
On the other hand clearing yourself in that way would seem to me to clearly go against the spirit of the rules.
On the other, other hand, if the situation is indeed as it has been hypothesised, it seems difficult and unfair to prevent players from discussing it.
So in conclusion, I just wish the no-claim rule wasn’t a thing and we could deal with this set of circumstances sensibly.
kinda yeah, i don't like no claims either.Ash Lael wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 1:00 am I kind of hate the no-claiming rule.

Let’s put it this way. If you were to survive the virus that would either mean that you’re town or I have misunderstood the setup in some fundamental way.Hally wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 1:03 amif i survived the virus, would you treat me as mechanically cleared?Ash Lael wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 1:00 am I kind of hate the no-claiming rule.

Actually a thought occurs to me that makes me question my earlier conclusion.
if people won’t commit to not eliminating me next day should i survive it’s actually worse for town for me to survive than for me to die. that’s the truth. if you can’t commit than so be itAsh Lael wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 1:38 amActually a thought occurs to me that makes me question my earlier conclusion.
You seem to be extremely eager to be not just widely but universally townread. Here you’re asking for *everyone* to *commit* to *locking* you. Earlier in the game you reacted strongly against even light suspicion and tinfoil.
I’m starting to wonder if there’s some special reason for this.
reminder to answer this
ok. can you pick just one?
If they’re valid d2 they’re valid D4. Reasons to TR someone don’t lose validity over time, they either get outweighed by reasons to scumread them or they don’t.Arete wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 6:15 pmNanookArete wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 1:48 am112Arete wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 9:46 pm just going to ... go through each of my clears, I guess, and talk about why I'm clearing them/whether I think those reasons are still Good And Valid
