An Analysis of Marmot's Mentions

Earlier today I finished my analytics course so I thought it would be nice to do something analytically to celebrate. This is a basic breakdown of Marmot's posts and how he mentioned every single one of us. I went through Marmot's ISO and counted the number of times he quoted someone, and mentioned someone in one of his posts. I then categorized every single one of Martin's mentions into three categories; Null, Town, and Scum.

I categorized something a "Town" post/mention when Marmot labelled you as a town-read/lean, defended you, or gave you props for one of your posts.
I categorized something a "Scum" post/mention when Marmot scum read you, disliked what you were saying, or voted for you.
Null is everything else

It is important to keep in mind that the data doesn't fully account for sarcasm and tone. If Marmot said "I think BoKnows is scum for posting twice in a row", I would count that as a scum post. These numbers also do not show the progression of Marmots reads. These are just raw numbers that will visualize Marmot's interactions. In my opinion, these graphs will be best paired with all the analyses Jay already did.

Let's talk about these tiers. Why are spf and bo stuck in ehhhh? A few minutes ago you said bo was probably town. SPF is a popular town read.

Why is nanook in tier 3 rather than tier 4? Why is fingersplints in tier 4 rather than tier 3? Why is Dom "more likely wolf"?
And lastly, have you given any consideration to how any of these folks would fit on either of the hypothetical teams?

the difference between tier 3 and tier 4 is not particuarly well thought out. I think Nanook is playing slightly in his town profile more here, especially in a multiball game. I generally expect mafia nanook to try to keep a hand on the wheel a bit more, and in a multiball game I think I'd expect that even more. As I don't see that, that's enough to raise him above a fair amount of the crowd. I just read Mac's iso and he said that he thought Bo was polarising or something. IDK. He's probably town. I would have had him in tier 4 before. SPF is at the top of tier 3 but I consider tier 1 and 2 to be what would colloquially be towncore (frankly I don't get all the reads there but okay) and SPF hasn't done enough to justify this assertion. I have done next to zero work on finger and honestly can't keep them and straw straight but my general impression is they fit on either team decently (I'm leaning towards not marmot though). Could be tier 3 but probably not higher than LC at least. I've thought about teams a bit but seeing as we have no information on one it's not a top priority. But people who I think are cleared from being teamed with marmot get boosts.

Which moved BK to "ehhhhhhh" status, not particularly well thought out difference between Tier 3 or 4, and some stuff about Mac's ISO saying Bo was polarizing, woulda been Tier 4.


How can BK be towny, but also be "ehhhhhhh, he's almost Tier 4"? It doesn't make sense from a towny perspective.
