I used to pull so many animal corpses out of the pool traps as a lifeguard. Sad job.

I saved two kids, but both instances were underwhelming and for the most point disappointing. Should've just let Poseidon have their way with them.

makes sense to me anyways. bracket 2 is where the actual chopping happens. If you want to be in there getting your hands dirty, instead of sending all the wolfy people there to fight amongst themselves maybe you have an agenda
True, but anyone in the loser's bracket has a 50% chance of being yeeted, and I imagine it'll just be pure chaos. I get wanting to stay in the winner's bracket but the wolves have more incentive to stay there than to drop down.
This conversation between Marmot and Katt is very interesting, since Made was one of the loudest about volunteering for the losers bracket and he was guilty. Katt may have been distancing themselves from Made, but given the circumstances I think it’s likelier that Katt is simply innocent. I’m town reading Katt for this.

Marmot may be seen as indirectly defending Made here. The only thing that makes me hesitate to condemn Marmot for this is that I believe Marmot also volunteered for the losers bracket, albeit less loudly than Made. It may be that Marmot is innocent, and they argued this point because they knew it didn’t apply to them. As well, I doubt two of the three wolves would volunteer themselves for the losers bracket. I just don’t see what they would gain from that.

tl;dr: Katt looks great here. Marmot was wrong, but it’s hard for me to say whether they look bad for it.
I was actually defending myself here, not Made. Did Made actually make that argument Day 1? I don't remember it. Anyway I was pushing for myself to be put in the Loser's bracket, and considering how Night 1 played out, I do think I was correct in the amount of chaos this game mode creates.

At this point, I don't feel as strongly about being put in the Loser's bracket. There are two people there that I feel strongly about being town, and adding more such players to that group could hurt us in the long run.

Moghedien wrote: Mon Apr 26, 2021 9:01 am I’m taking a break from reading the Losers Bracket, since it sort of feels like a separate game at this point, and I iso’d Made instead.

I’m glad I did, because I learned that Made had almost no interactions with anyone currently in the Winners bracket except for Marmot. I didn’t count, but Made interacted with Marmot a lot, maybe more times than he interacted anyone else. That’s interesting in light of the conversation I quoted above.

There’s a lot to be said, but I’ll start with this: Made tried to direct suspicion toward Marmot several times, and in his final posts, basically said it should have been Marmot instead of him. That makes me town read Marmot, for a few different reasons.

First, Marmot and Made had very incongruous behavior toward each other. Marmot was amicable toward Made, while Made was suspicious of Marmot. I don’t see any sense of strategy or coordination between them. If they were teammates, then they weren’t very good at it, because they went in opposite directions.

Second, why would Made use his dying breath to curse Marmot if they were teammates, especially when the mafia should want to play conservatively after losing Made? This couldn’t have been an attempt at bussing, because there was no way for Marmot to die before Made at that point.

Finally, Gavial proved that he had a good handle on this game with the way he went after Made, so his town read on Marmot holds some sway with me.

The person in our bracket who we learn the most about from Made’s flip is Marmot, so I’m very curious to hear what you all have to say about them. I think we can safely treat Katt and Marmot as our town core today. Now we just need them to help us hunt more, lol.

I am town vig :noble:

I haven't ISO'd Made yet, but I remember the post you're talking about from reading Night 1. I don't have any clue what the VC was at that point in time, so it's really hard to tell if Made was in anti-spew mode when he made that long post, or trying to preserve himself and/or teammates. I'm just not going to put any stock in it. Alison's and TSP's handling of Made (or lackthereof) is enough for me.

If I get a chance, I'll do give Made's Day 1 an ISO, that'll be more revealing than his dying breath post imo.

Myhoughts on players currently:

hollowkat: The one thing that stuck out to me about Beelzebub Mafia was his vote for sean without a reason for it (hk was mafia here). I'm seeing more reasons for his reads in this game, and feel comfortable about his contributions

G-Man: Another player I generally feel comfortable about. One thing I don't like is his hesitance to send DrWilgy to the Loser's Bracket. I disagree with his logic there. There's only two wolves left in this game, which means we're yeeting at least one town N2 no matter what, and therefore yeeting yeeting players who are difficult/impossible to read would be optimal if there aren't obvious wolves to yeet. I'm concerned about the two of them being teammates.

Mog: Despite the size of his posts, I'm surprised at how few times he's posted. I like his efforts so far, but the only read I can find from him today is a townread of me. @Moghedien do you have any other reads right now?

DrWilgy: Null based on his posts, but I love DrWilgy!

Kyle: I TR Kyle at this point. He has a solid mix of jest and reads that look authentic. Definitely not my first choice to eliminate.

falcon: I go both ways on falcon. I liked his point about DrWilgy in response to hollowkatt. I disagree with him that Kyle's ISO is not townie. I agree with him that generally, hk is townie. It could just be a product of who was in the thread at the time, but falcon hasn't talked about half the players in the WB yet. @falcon45ca can I get some more reads from you too.

Players I don't want to vote down: hollowkat, Kyle

Players I would vote down: DrWilgy, falcon, G-Man, Mog

Stage 2: I think we should talk about the remaining four LB members a little to determine whether or not we believe there are any baddies among them.

Stage 3: Once we reach some kind of consensus (or at least share our respective thoughts- let’s set a goal of mid-phase for this at the very latest), we start talking about how many baddies we think may be among us.

Stage 4: We determine whom we want to send to the LB and why. The good news is that we aren’t required to slam dunk all three baddies with our votes. Do we want to send three folks down for the remaining LB folks to slaughter outright? Do we want to send a strong civvie read down to help strengthen whatever town core we may think is down there?
This post of G's strikes me as appearing to be helpful and pro-town, but actually not being town. There's a lack of bite I'd expect from town, like he's trying to be part of the team, but it just doesn't come across as genuine to my eyes.

See, with this different game setup, I think we need to start thinking about who we're willing to get tricked by, rather than letting our fears of being tricked hold us back. If we're afraid of being tricked by someone, vote for them. If you feel that you can shrug off being fooled by a player based on the quality of their content, don't vote for them.

Right now, I am fully prepared to shake both Tim's hand and HK's hand and not begrudge being tricked by them if they are baddies. I'm almost there with Marmot, but I need to read his ISO again to really cross that line. I just don't have time to read an ISO at the moment.

If we're maximizing the chop potential without considering who is left after the chop, then yes, Wilgy makes sense to send to the LB. Who else is chop-worthy? For me, it's also Kyle right now. I can't determine which of Falcon or Moghedien I'd rather chop. There's the Falcon derp-clear and there's HK's arguments in favor of Moghedien's efforts despite their low post count. It all boils down to whether we choose to think there are two baddies here, two baddies in the LB, or one in each.

If we think there are two baddies here, then we need to trust that the LB folks have been reading along and will respect our reads and not just do whatever they like and ignore our indirect input.

If we think there are two baddies in the LB, then we need to send some trustworthy folk down to try to persuade everyone in there right now to chop two of their own.

If we think it's one and one, then we need a blend. I think it's improbable but not impossible that both remaining baddies are in the LB, so I tend to favor the 1-and-1 mindset. If it's two still here in the WB, then we need to be daring this day.

You send me to the LB with two of Kyle, Falcon, and Wilgy. Of those other three, which two are most likely the baddies?

-Falcon
-Kyle
-Wilgy

Go!

(We need consensus with our three so we don't let the mafia break a tie like the LB let happen last night)

So what's your recommendation to the LB for how they handle me, Wilgy, and Falcon? Chop one, two, or all three of us?

I think we need to leave some kind of legacy advice to them.
