sheesh, I still have 3 pages before i'm caught back up. I will say that no matter what anyone else thinks, I believe that worrying about challenges matters. Too many innocent ppl get lynched from baddies seizing an opportunity to use things against them. And facts and logic are wasted on me, they too can be manipulated. So, going on the feels, I'm putting some faith in Aces, he has an uncanny nose when it comes to sniffing out baddies with little info to go on (by that, I mean I wasn't sold on every argument made in the posts, but that combined with how sure he seems, is important). I'm also giving Epi's case some serious thought, not as convinced there, but worth a reread. Looking at 2 other ppl, but I want to catch up before I say anymore.

Alright, folks, I'm here.
Regarding BR's vote: regardless of whether she comes back and pleads with me to change it, I won't let her. Votes are final. When it comes to a contradiction between what someone has said in thread and voted in the poll, the poll trumps.
Tough luck.

My mood will shift, however, if there are missing votes.

it's not concrete but it's multiple pings - lynching baddies consistently is about either an obvious slip (there have been none yet by anybody) or behaviour recognition over the course of several days.
If I have time this evening I'll read back through the thread and determine which people aceofspades is pulling theories from (be nice if he had used quotes instead of barely rephrasing) - if they are similarly L/Light supporters with other pings, I'm probably on to something here.
As I said before, keeping an eye on people who do something isn't remotely the same thing as lynching somebody for doing something - which is what DH and AceOfSpades are bother trying to do. The game isn't the simplistic - not if you want to win. Flag it and continue playing, vote the players with the most flags.
BWT - I don't see why I'm "latching onto him" by discussing tons of things, but he's not "latching onto me" by making 80% of his posts about me. I didn't even vote for him.

@Acer – I like your summary list. It seems cool and collected and more civ like than not.
@Tricer – The things you are saying are weird. You didn’t act normal in Donner (when you were bad) because the game was weird, but you are acting normal now, which means you are a civ, because you are an confrontational when you are bad, but you’re being an a**h**** now because you always are….You are pinging me but you did agree with me about Turnip Head:AceofSpaces wrote:Me and S~V~S had an exchange on here just last night about how it's inconvenient for some people to read through five paragraphs just to get the basics of a case. Trice, I don't really understand what you are saying because your post refers to the past so supposedly aces had already pulled things from people who voted Light/L. I have to also add though that I thought Aces reasoning about baddies voting normal lynch made some sense to me and though I haven't yet I will take another look at who those people who voted that option. Not saying I totally believe it but his reasoning was solid I felt.
I went back and read both yours and Aces posts and came out of that experience feeling sure you had misrepresented what Aces said - several times in fact. I feel like Aces summed it all up when he said:
My read is that you are bad and even though the evidence might not be overwhelming it's what I've got for today.

Right. So what's Epi's game then? You asked if I had done this. I said no I have not. The reason I did not is that it would involve reading 20 pages of thread, but I already know aceofspades is probably bad from his behaviour following that point. Aceofspades also completely abandoned all those ideas immediately after mentioning them, so for all I know he just randomly pulled thoughts from other posters - meaning they likely have no connection to him and there is no point figuring out who it was.
It's pretty straightforward.
Here I thought you were confused about one of my other posts, not that

I voted for FZ. I think she is not acting like a civvie, she keeps talking about how bad or not bad a variety of people are, and then she votes for someone for a really weak reason? Normally that would be no biggie, but this was a crazy Day One, and she was right in the thick of it for quite a bit of it. Or said she was going to vote, and then did not.
Not buying it.

Re: Death Note Mafia [DAY 1]
Wrapping up:
TH's Russ theories are pretty bonkers, but for a completely inactive player, Russ has received nothing but theories and canon-suspicions today; if you ask me, that schedule part is actually very deeply rooted to the character's trait, so it could be totally flavour. But even so, I think TH's may have mixed up wanting to observe if a player's behaviour will seem very strict in the following days and wanting to say Russ is that player, prompting others to question why he wouldn't want to get rid of Russ if he thinks he's XKira. I don't know, I see more confusion here. As for Russ, I will clearly not advocate silencing him for good without any grasp of why he isn't playing actively thus far.
Re: FZ, I notice several senior players are expecting a high standard of gameplay from her and to them she fails to deliver so far. I have no doubt she is a great player, but so far I have not noticed her to be so decisive and upfront in the early days (referencing Film, of course, where sadly she didn't even get to play too much), so I have no demands in that regard. It is a bit off to want to gun down two indecisive players and, at the same time, major game new players, out of which her case on Zomba is definitely odd, but right now she hasn't decided to go for it and may not do it after all. As for her comments on pursuing or not Yotsuba, I'm starting to see a pattern of players (her and Epi, so far) trying to diminish the importance of Yotsuba non-Kira members in the game's equation and I think it deserves closer inspection in the upcoming days.
I reckon Snowman's status falls under major league new player as well, so I'll withold from thinking of voting for him, but I really expect more starting tomorrow. Efforts to catch-up/adapt/keep up with the game have been various around here, but the lowpost-type "I didn't pick up much" is the least convincing type of reaction, imo.
As for Trice, I've tried my best with re-read him in more than one light, but he still sticks out to me for his D0 stance and his uhm diatribe? with Ace and I see him more as the antagonizer, especially early on this Day. Back then, much of what Ace charged him with resonanted with what my thoughts were and in a way they still do.

Re: Death Note Mafia [DAY 1]
I feel like the game is in a Mexican standoff right now... So guess I'll be among the first to shoot. I think there's a lot of information that came out of the Trice/Ace exchange, most of which showed Trice to be self-contradictory and a bit flustered. I'm not reading a genuine defense in those posts, so I'm going to add my vote.DharmaHelper wrote:Welcome to my hell.triceratopzeuhl wrote:35 minutes left and 15 missing votes
linki w/Rico: I feel the same way about Russ, but I feel a little less forgiving toward TH. Hopefully Russ posts tomorrow and can give some good intel. Also skeptical of FZ; Snowman's few posts suggest a lack of involvement with the game, which hasn't yet made itself clear to me as ignorance or malice.

Or we could just pretend that those players all put a proxy vote on TH.MovingPictures07 wrote:I will not hesitate to punish players for missing votes. You've been warned.

The answer: all of them, if you are a marmot.

Are you saying that you didn't read the thread?!? Seriously?triceratopzeuhl wrote:whatjuliets wrote:Trice I made an assumption about your answer, i.e., that you had to give a reason that didn't fit the question I was asking because you had not gone back and looked after you said you would. But just so there is no misunderstanding going forward, please clarify. I can't change my vote but maybe it will stop others from voting for you.

Even if ignorant or uninvolved, it still made me very wary.Snowman wrote:Thank you Zomberella and SVS. I have no idea if either of you are bad or not, but you boiled down your take on all the players in one post, and I appreciate it. I frankly don't have the time to comb through a couple hundred episodes of "Trice Yells at Everyone" every day. I'll offer my insight and contribute what I can, but I don't see the "discussion" coalescing around anyone in particular. All I see is argument ad nauseum around the D0 poll.
I'm happy to see so many involved, but how do you find so much to talk about when literally nothing has happened yet? The most earth-shattering event so far is the realization that Russ hasn't posted anything.

Since it looks like I'm getting lynched today - there will be a whole lot of "I told you so" when ace, bwt, TH, and possibly blackrock and DH turn up baddie. Callin' it now

it is really hard to get a read on the huge number of people who have barely participated other than to come along and say "I vote somebody because somebody else made a good case," thoughtriceratopzeuhl wrote:Since it looks like I'm getting lynched today - there will be a whole lot of "I told you so" when ace, bwt, TH, and possibly blackrock and DH turn up baddie. Re: Death Note Mafia [DAY 1]
Ok, I wound up voting first so as not to miss it. Voted BWT.
The other 2 players I mentioned earlier were FZ and BWT. I dont know if I've played with FZ before, so had nothing to make comparisons with, but I felt like her posts were calculated to be non-committal and still sound like she was baddie-hunting at the same time. They reminded me of baddie Hedge. BWT had caught my eye a zillion pages ago when he responded in support of a few posts without actually saying why he felt the same way. He just supported whatever the player said as though it was an established fact. I don't even remember who now, but I will look it up after things settle down.
Boo, yes, sadly facts, numbers, logic etc can be presented in any way a person with an agenda wants to present them. I've always thought LC should win an award for this kind of talent, he makes an awesome baddie because his presentation of facts sounds perfectly acceptable, even after the civvie gets lynched
