It's a hedge in the sense that you're pointing out something scummy but then reversing course on it and saying "oh but the interaction as a whole is fine". It's a textbook scummy move because it allows you to generate suspicion on a townie but have the plausible deniability of saying "but I said it was fine!" if they get exed later on. This is why I also described it as cowardly shade - it's an attempt to make someone look bad, but you don't have the bravery to stick to it.

Many low posters (Creature notably) resolve themselves when given time.

Maybe we should just kill Ender.
