EIGHT DAYS MAX ~ OPEN BTSC

In Expression Auction, number tiles and equation sign tiles are auctioned off, and the first player to use these tiles to complete an expression that equals 10 is the winner. Everyone will be provided with numbered cubes, ranging from 1 to 10. The tiles will be up for auction in a set order. The combinations of tiles and the auction order will be revealed before the game begins. When the auction starts, the tiles will be up for sale according to the schedule. Players who wish to bid on a tile must make their intentions known within 1 hour of the tile becoming available, and bid using one of their numbered cubes. The other players will then be given another hour. If no one bids a higher numbered cube within an hour, the tile is sold to the highest bidder. If a player bids a higher amount, another hour is given, and the process repeats. One person may bid multiple times on an item, but all the cubes used during bidding will be discarded. If someone bids the same amount as the current bid, no one wins the auction and both the tiles and cubes are discarded. Any tiles with no bids after an hour are also discarded. Also, cubes and tiles cannot be given up or traded.

Using your limited cubes to bid effectively will be the core of this game. However, every tile you purchase must be used in your expression, and you may not use your number tiles sequentially. The player who obtains the value of 10 first becomes the winner, ending the game. Players who were unable to complete an expression before the end of the game will automatically be last. When there are multiple losers, the winner will choose the elimination candidate. If every player completes an expression by the end of the game, the player with the value furthest from 10 will be the loser. If two values are equidistant from 10, the highest value wins. If no players are able to obtain a 10 by the end, the player with the closest value to 10 is the winner. The winner will receive an amount of Garnets equal to their expression’s value. Sole winners will receive two Tokens of Life, one for them and one for a person of their choice.

Round 13 is a special auction. This auction is not for a tile, but instead for an 11 cube, which can be used to buy tiles. You bid using Garnets in this auction. Garnets bid by losing players will be returned. Also, you may not bid an equal amount of Garnets.

The Auction Schedule will be revealed after the Eighth Death Match.

As I realize the fact that not everyone will be able to be online at the times of the auctions of the tiles they desire, you may PM me stating in advance that you'd like to use a certain cube, or a number of cubes, in a future auction. If I receive cubes in advance, I will reveal them at the start of the auction, beginning with the lowest cube received. If I receive in advance two of the same number cubes, they will cancel each other out, and the tile will be removed from auction. In this case, any number of cubes higher than the two tied cubes would be returned to their owners.

For example, if you had a [1] tile and a [2] tile, you couldn't combine them to make 12.

Yeah, I really didn’t expect to make it this far. I targeted scamming horse race, then seed poker, then the expression auction. This is the last game from the show I’m really excited about playing. The main matches always got weaker around this point in my opinion.

Also, if this was tv show style, we’ve made it to three quarters of the episodes.

I didn't see it explicitly in the rules I just assumed incorrectly that the schedule was reflecting start times rather than I guess end times for bids.

Just a heads-up: I won't be around at midnight to announce that the [3] tile is up for bidding, but the countdown for the tile becoming unavailable will still begin at 12:00 AM.

If I receive any bids in advance, and fail to post about them before the third auction, or any other auction in the future begins, I will bring them up as soon as I can.

In a scenario in which Player A PM's me saying that they wish to bid a {8} cube, but I'm unable to post about this advance vote before the auction begins, and Player B bids a cube lower than {8}, say a {4}, Player B's cube will be returned to them, as Player A's bid technically occurred before theirs. Once I'm able to announce Player A's bid, other players then have an hour to either bid an equal or higher cube.

Apologies if this is convoluted. This is one of those things that may or may not occur, but I wanted to have a clear, on-the-record plan in place if it did.
