Dethy Mafia

Roles

1 sane cop (always gets correct alignment on investigation)
1 insane cop (always gets wrong alignment on investigation)
1 naive cop (always gets innocent alignment on investigation)
1 paranoid cop (always gets guilty alignment on investigation)
1 regular baddie (gets a NK beginning on Night 1)

Game Set-Up

1) There is no theme to this game. It is relatively quick and does not require one.
2) Cops do not know what kind of cop they are, only that he/she is a civvie cop. The baddie knows what his/her role is.
3) After roles are sent out, there will be a 24 hour night phase (Night 0) where the cops will send in their night action. The baddie does not get to make a move during this phase. Once this night is over, the game begins.
4) Info-dumping or revealing of information (true or not) is both acceptable and encouraged.
5) Players may change their lynch votes during day phases. Please place your vote in time to avoid any penalty.
6) All day and night phases will be 24 hours in length. Night polls are only time-holders and do not affect the mechanics of the game in any way.

1) No BTSC (behind the scenes conversation) with anyone whatsoever
2) No editing or deleting of posts.
3) Please be respectful of other players and your host. Colorful language is allowed, but common sense and emphasized.
4) Dead players should not post on-topic and should be in dead red. Use the "dead" button when posting for this function.
5) Off-topic posts should be in off-topic green. Use the "OT" button when posting for this function.
6) Posts from non-players should be in non-player blue. Use the "NP" button when posting for this function.
7) The host color is going to be in lime green. Please do not use this color when posting.

Fellow cops, what do you guys think about all of us sending in a check for the same person?

It can be me if you want. But it would help us figure out what type of cop we are, and it might also help us ferret out the baddie.

I thought about investigating myself and narrowing my options in two, but your idea was better, so I did. You came out a civ. I'd like to think that since you came up with that idea, you really are a civ, but I'm not ruling out any options yet. Let's see what others have to say

I checked llama and he was guilty.

Lizzy, FZ and Llama all checked me and I was innocent. One of them is sane, one is naive, and one is the baddie.

I think that means that INH and I are the paranoid/insane cops. Curious to see who INH checked.

That is the most likely case, unless FZ or Lizzy is lying just for lulz.

If you are telling the truth (and I assume you are) you are either paranoid or insane, which means INH is the other of those two.

If she was the baddie she could have lied and said she had checked someone else, and then we'd have a less narrow idea of who the baddie is. But the thought that Lizzy is the baddie is making me really paranoid.

That reasoning makes sense. But, I don't like how Lizzy jumped on FZ saying "civ" instead of "innocent". That seemed to me like a really clumsy attempt at shifting blame onto her.

Everyone had responded when I woke up this morning so I went ahead and started the day phase. Since there was no posting permitted during that night, I saw no need to draw it out.

I'm here. I think this game is going to be very easy for us. TH's idea just made it very clear who could be a baddie, and even if you don't trust me today, you know that come next day, it will just get easier. I don't think there's a way the baddie can win this game.

I think Lizzy waited but didn't think it through. I loved the civ-innocent argument though. Very amusing. I don't think there's any other option but Lizzy

Since no one can really save anyone or block, it's obvious that this game will have to be a team work, which means in order for the rest to know who is what, someone has to die. I'd love for us to find the baddie tonight, but during the night, I was already thinking that since there was going to be a lynch and a kill and so little players, I hope the dead civvies could win with the living civvies if they win. and if that's the case, I don't mind getting killed if it makes things clearer. Don't get me wrong, I think it's pretty obvious Lizzie is the baddie, and it's kind of stupid not to vote for her, but I'll get over it
