Roles are dynamic -- "Changes aren't permanent, but change is." -- A player's role will likely be swapped with other roles as the game progresses. Every role has its own role's win condition that must be won or lost. If a role's win condition is won, the player with that role will be awarded a specified number of Cygnus Coins. If a role's win condition is lost, no Cygnus Coins are awarded. Once a condition is won or lost, a new role is gained.
Alignments are static -- "The more that things change, the more they stay the same." -- Whether a player is randomized a civilian, mafia, or independent alignment will not be associated with his or her role; thus, alignment will never change.
This game is a closed setup -- "We are secrets to each other, each one's life a novel no one else has read." -- A role listing will not be provided, but will potentially consist of every song in Rush's discography. Every player's current role will be fully revealed upon death.
Role claiming is allowed and encouraged -- "Who can you believe? It's hard to play it safe." -- Contrary to historical norms at The Syndicate, role claiming is permitted and encouraged. However, pasting content of role and host PMs is still strictly forbidden.
Wins are earned independently of alignment -- "You can fight without ever winning, but never ever win without a fight." -- There is strong incentive for an alignment win, as normal. 5 Cygnus Coins will be awarded to any player whose alignment wins. However, this will not guarantee victory! Conversely, a player may still win the game even if his or her alignment fails. As noted above, Cygnus Coins can also be gained by satisfying role conditions. A player must have at least 10 Cygnus Coins at game's end to win.
Dead players can still have fun! -- "So get out there and rock, and roll the bones." -- You heard me. Roll the Bones (RtB) Casino keeps dead players engaged! At RtB Casino, dead players can talk about the game and even lose or win Cygnus Coins! Participation in RtB Casino is voluntary. There may be other ways for dead players to be involved as well!
There is no set number of players required -- "The odds get even, you name the game; the stakes are the same." -- I will accept any number of players above the Full Game requirement.
