So how does movement work? I trtied to find something in the rules saying how many squares we can normally move but I didn't.

I'm assuming it's too squares per night since some roles say allowed to move 3.
Are there roles that say that?

Default movement range is three squares. Some roles, such as Lycantha, have a different movement range, and it is generally noted in the role.

This means that an average player on, say, B6, has the option to move to A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B9, C4, C5, C6, C7, C8, D5, D6, D7, or E6.

Players will start with a movement. Please PM your movement by the end of Night 0 so you can begin Day 1 on a new square.

Also, today is very busy for us, so I will not be back here to post, except very briefly, until later tonight. Night 0 is going to be flexibly timed as we ease into this complicated game.
The map in the 1st post doesn't show the squares. Where is this B6, for example?

Because since the poll itself no longer shows vote order some people may want to go back through the thread and track the vote order so the word aubergine was attached to in-thread votes (using the vote tags). That way you can search aubergine and bring up the votes and see the order.
Ok, i previewed a vote and see how it works now. I thought y'all were literally typing aubergine every time.
Still, looks like not everyone uses the vote tags so it doesn't really work imo. The whole thing looks ridiculous :p

I don't suspect DDL for discussing role alignment. It's good to be wary of roleclaims that happen in square BTSC. In A World Reborn Sorsha for the longest time had me fooled by claiming her role as Master Thief was civvie. She was indeed the Master Thief, but she was mafia.

Re: Mafia: A World Asunder - GAME THREAD [Day 1]

I'm glad you asked, juliets.

Note i said poll options, not polls. LC/BR polls are always important.
A World Reborn's Day 0 poll options were literally meaningless. Players had to choose between Prog and other music genres. Poll options had nothing to do with the lore of the game. The outcome of the poll, however, did.
I did a quick search on these poll options and didn't find anything meaningful, and made my post.

Turns out it was you calling Luna bloodthirsty and I misremembered thinking it was SVS being called bloodthirsty.

I believed SVS was the one being overly aggressive and throwing a bad vote on Luna therefore she was being bloodthirsty.

All that basically happened here was that I misremembered who you called bloodthirsty and Said it was SVS instead of Luna which is my view. So basically I think SVS comes out looking worse for her vote then Luna does.

For DH who said I was waffling, that’s kinda true but it’s early in the game and I don’t have any solid reads so I’m throwing out what feels wrong from a gut perspective.
This doesn't answer things. Why do you think SVS was bloodthirsty? When did you develop this idea, and what caused you to express agreement with me?
SVS always plays a bit aggressive. Bloodthirsty isn't the word i'd use but it doesn't mean the exact opposite either. I can see why sig would assume that word was used to describe her playstyle.
Is this the point you have against sig? Walk me through it.

Also, if this isn't the first time SVS wakes up in the middle of the night bloodthirsty thinking about luna, we might have a bigger problem here :ninja:

Input on sloonei feels kinda fake and the G bit sounds like a forced attempt to change the topic to something, anything with a weird specific-but-vague reference to the callers-out.
How else would one word it? I had asked a G-Man question before and wanted to hear more. I'm happy with the post he made later.
Sloonei wrote: Sun Dec 09, 2018 5:40 pm I described Luna as bloodthirsty here for the way she pursued Colin. Sig then expresses unclear support of the notion here, and after clarifying it turns out his stance is actually opposite the one he thinks he's agreeing with, here. Timmer, juliets, and I have all asked for clarifications, but he hasn't really settled anything (for me, at least). I'm still unclear on what he sees in SVS that is being labeled as "bloodthirsty."
Isn't he just using the word bloodthirsty to describe aggressiveness?
Sloonei wrote: Sun Dec 09, 2018 5:40 pmIn my reading of this in which sig is bad, I see him as wanting to agree with a case that already exists, but he misunderstood the details and was caught making a phony accusation. Instead of trying to reverse course, which would probably be the shadiest thing possible, he's doubled down on the SVS and continued to insist on her, but hasn't provided an elaboration on why his read is what it is. I'm not sure why he thinks SVS looks worse than Luna in their exchange. I'm not sure if anyone else has that view either.

There are also some smaller pings I laid out in this post.

I can see an angle in which sig is town, but he hasn't provided any answers that I like so far. I remain open to other names as well, but sig is the player who I feel the most inclined to pressure at the moment.
Ok i can see where you are coming from now but i don't think it's a strong enough case for me to vote on. Looks to me he's simply not paying enough attention yet.

Something I saw while skimming.

I'd clear neither of these. G-man worse than Sprit. TH left a vote on G-Man and did nothing with it as far as I know. Seems like easy distancing cred, and you're giving it to him.
TH made that CFD G-Man post 18 minutes before the poll closed. It only would've taken one player to say "sure why not" to get it going and G-Man could've been lynched. That's quite a big risk if they are teammates, i wouldn't call that easy distancing.

Same with his sprityo post though maybe that one is less strong. There had already been some talk of lynching a low poster, and a low poster did end up being lynched. It looks risky to me so i'm ok with writing TH and sprityo down as not-teammates.

I still think Wilgy looks like a solid candidate to be on TH' team.

Day 3 we go "oh it's one out of these 4 now, those are even better odds", we lynch Kyle and he's good.
Day 4 we lynch DDL and he's good.
Day 5 we lynch Quin and he's good.
Day 6 we lynch G-Man and he's either bad (you got good info) or not (your info was incorrect, or you lied and made us waste 5 lynches)

We could waste up to 4 lynches if the info is right, 5 if it's wrong.

I'll go through her posts today to see if we can find any Jagged Blade connections.
In the meantime i'm dropping a vote on DH, the Living Statue is a seriously dangerous role once he gets recruited. I feel like this needs to be discussed.
I'm also considering G-Man and maybe novaselinenever who hasn't made a single post from what i can tell.

Kylemii wrote: Fri Dec 14, 2018 3:36 am from what i can tell DH isn't actually dangerous unless he gets recruited by a mafia and even then he's not even that dangerous cus, we know who he is, so his shenanigans would be limited, and his alignment doesn't even seem to be up to him. right?
This is exactly what happened last time though. Dom the Living Statue got outted, people didn't pay attention to him, then the baddies recruited him and they won.

Sabie's and INH's posts look ok to me. I don't think my vote will end up their way, unless there's another CFD and i need to save myself :p

LoRab wrote: Fri Dec 14, 2018 8:02 am What are the actual seats of baddies dying 2 nights in a row? In particular on nights 1 and 2? I’m so used to games where night kills aren’t revealed that I’m actually not sure.

And an alternate theory: what if the trickster is an Indy role who kills every night? Juleit’s Death doesn’t read as a baddie dying. Not to mention that we have no idea who is killling. Personally, I’m Not going to push that people aren’t who they seem, but I’m not going to personally make that assumption. And I personally believe it’s a dangerous assumption to make.

Strongly leaning towards an INH vote. Possibly sabie.
So if we're not assuming any of the night deaths are who they say we are, we've got two civ lynches. Good luck hunting after throwing out 2/3rds of the hard info we have.
Two civ lynches? Wilgy still screams Hollow Man to me

Jackofhearts2005 wrote: Fri Dec 14, 2018 10:08 am The host post implies two scum tried to kill DH. Like maybe a block and kill or a kill and doc the hitman.

If this is true, I have reason to believe 2 of these players tried to kill DH last night: sprityo, timmer, nova, colonialbob, speedchuck, sig.
nova is playing ???

Darth Malignus can publicly silence someone. We'd know if someone got silenced.
Jackofhearts2005 wrote: Fri Dec 14, 2018 10:15 am Tranq obviously still scum. Flipping my opinion of Mac somewhat.
How do i flip your opinion of Mac if you think we're opposing scum?

With that in mind, I should vote Sprityo or Sig.

Sprityo May have killed Nutella. With that in mind, I should vote Sprityo.

You just said "Tranq is obviously scum" then you vote Sprityo who "may" have killed someone.
Since when is "may" a stronger statement than "obviously"? How does this make sense?

I'm changing my vote to Jack.

I already said "may be bad" isn't the exact wording.

Because I trust my info more than my gut. :kadaj:
Your infodump says "1 out of these 3 killed nutella". You used your gut to eliminate speedchuck. Then it's between Sprityo and Sig and you pick the one with the least amount of suspicion to vote for? Why Sprityo over Sig? What if your info is wrong?

What about the 11 roles with *secrets* ?
What about certain squares that may mess with the info?
