I can't believe I'm being lynched before Uzziah but I hope you'll finally lynch that bastard and his scum buddy Rachel the next two days.
I voted for Rachel.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER IV]
@Jeph, my point is.. what was all that effort of going out of her way to disprove my statement to prove? She could have used 3,4 quotes and proved her point. She posted 20.
Honestly re: the idea of baddies killing annoying people, if she were good I'd think she'd be dead by now. If Paul and Martha were annoying, which they weren't IMO, she's 100 times so.
Linki w/ Balaam - dude, you're reading too far into it. Cupid didn't shoot an anti-arrow at me. Uzziah is scummy and I want to lynch him. Ever heard of occams razor? Cute theory but not what is happening.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER IV]
Here's my thoughts on Rachel's post.
#1. I didn't try and convince you to stop suspecting me at all by trying to equate our situations. If that is genuinely what you think happened, it is because you really are convinced I am trying to manipulate you. I have better things to do with my time. I'm not out to manipulate anyone because I'm not bad. If I wanted you to stop suspecting me, I would have been present in the thread arguing with you days ago. But lets face it, when I have a choice between logging into this website to banter with you and do something at home with my family, I'm going to choose my family. I actually loathe playing this game because I'm tired of listening to you. RE: why I didn't even bother catching up after my vacation.
#2. If Uzziah is bad like I believe, you are the most likely teammate. End of story. You have subtly defended him all game and it hasn't gone unnoticed. Ok - you did not vote for Cain. But you still voted for a civvies that day. Sorry sister.
#3. If I had time to do research, I would have used it on researching Uzziah. Sorry if I didn't get my facts straight, but I'm not sure what you were trying to prove. That I have a poor memory? That I didn't catch up last weekend?
#4. Sharing my thoughts on anyone besides the person I suspect is pointless. No one is listening to me about the person I'm most confident about, so I don't see what good speculating on another non-lynch candidate will do.
Though you are starting to convince me to break my oath to only vote Uzziah. I may vote for you instead. Congratulations!

Wisdom about other players? I think Rachel is bad. I think it is ridiculous the ruse she is fronting. But honestly she's right, I just don't care enough. I fought my heart out for a solid day to convince people to vote uzziah and you numbskulls lynch a silenced person.
First, let's tackle the idea that I have only talked about you. Here is a list of posts I have made that have NOT addressed you since I announced my suspicion of you on Day 2:
1. http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 27#p139927

20. http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 72#p141372
That was after a quick skim of my own posts. I found 20 posts where I talk about something other than you, Job. That's more than what some people have posted the entire game. But let's compare that to your own record, eh?
1. http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 87#p140287
2. http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 14#p140314
Going back to a similar point in the game, you have made TWO posts where you don't mention Uzziah. One is saying RIP Paul and the other is saying you'll be away. But Hey! We're doing the same thing, right?
Now you try and convince me to stop suspecting you by trying to equate our experiences in pursuing our suspects. Except... I actively posted for the entire game (minus real time ONE day where I was extremely ill) while you have not. Whatever your reasons may be, you have not. You are trying to get me to empathize with you to avoid suspicion. However, this doesn't work because in the very next bit, you suddenly suspect me. You have yet to express suspicion of me, but suddenly "Rachel is bad." Reason given:"The ruse am fronting". Bull.
Now Job says he really doesn't care because on the day HE wanted to lynch Uzziah (for reasons that are so superficial and banal they don't even deserve mention) "we" lynched Cain. Many people did not vote Cain-- I did not. I voted for Job.
So, please, Job, if you're going to make a post against me, do some basic research because that was a load of malarkey.
BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE:Job wrote:Rachel wrote:I think at least Job is bad and I have a neutral read on Uzz.
Why have you changed your opinion on him? Why, if you previously thought him to be bad, have you continually found reason not to vote him?
What do you even mean?
I have not suspected Uzziah all game.
I guess I was wrong about Rachel focusing mostly on Job.
Yeah me too, but she went a long way to prove a point eh?

Fwiw this is a lie. I went after uzziah first and he tried to act like he was fishing for reactions with his rooting for scum post.Jephthah wrote:Uzziah was first to go after Job. He went as far as to tell Paul on the first day that he caught a baddie for him, or even 2-3, and the first one was Job. So why would he revenge Job?Isaac wrote:The difference is that Uzziah's focus on Job is revenge, for lack of a better term.
But I agree that focusing on Uzziah alone makes me doubt Job more. I get that he's still pushing for Uzziah's lynch, especially after watching him escape every lynch and being sure he should be lynched. But you can both do that, and still say what you think of other players as well.
Job, can you please come in and give us some thoughts other than Uzziah?

Then you express the same frustration I am facing, that literally no one is listening and will vote someone else in the end because no one is invested or cares. But yet you don't understand what you're experiencing is exactly what I am facing.Rachel wrote:Here's my problem. The is the THIRD time I've resummarized the case. Third time. People either don't care or don't remember. Job is probably laying low enough that people just forget. I'm getting annoyed because I am trying to garner discussion on someone I think is bad and everyone else seems more concerned with voting out "weird" players like Mary Magdeline and Pilate.Jephthah wrote:Sorry for coming in late. And RIP Gideon and Hagar.
Rachel, if I were a baddie, I'd make sure to post enough to not be considered laying low, so Job not being here yet, means nothing. He can come in at any minute.
That said, can you state again the reasons you think Job is bad, other then the fact he's focusing on Uzziah? Uzziah is only focusing on Job, how is that different?
I'm still pinged by Lazarus' vote for Absalom last day.
Also, what are people's thoughts on Deborah. Just went to look at her reasons for voting Cain (twice) and Mary. Enough to not look bandwagoning, but something feels off to me there.
If you want my original words, go through the posts yourself. There's a handy page for that at the front of the thread.Rachel wrote:I can resummarize it.Isaac wrote:Can you quote it for me? Idk if I'm allowed to say this but I'm technically Isaac2.0
Job perseverated on the fact that Paul was not posting on Day 2. This read to me as a baddie who really wanted to draw attention to their work. However, in retrospect, I think Job may have been trying to seem civvie by being completely irrelevant in this post. He also has not let go of the extremely weak Uzzaiah suspicion based on zany Day 1 Antics. He repeats he does not have tunnel vision, but has done literally nothing but discuss Uzzaiah. I can pull Paul's case too, if you'd like. This was Paul's case.Rachel wrote:Paul wrote:you said this right before d1 but you have made no real effort to pursue either of these suspectsJob wrote:Belshazar also suss for that reason, lean scum on him and Ruth. I think it is quite good.
Now, I am really frustrated that people are STILL giving Job the BOTD when this was one of his more recent posts:Like... no he is not about to come in and give you wisdom about other players. I don't think you were ignored, you just aren't answered directly. The meta aspect of my arguments is flawed per my discussion with lot. I can't believe you're making me repeat this again but He is bad IMO because he voted likely horseman option day 0, did a no u to my suspicion of him, has not contributed to conversation positively, voted early and the away his vote, refused to discuss thoughts on other players when directly asked to do so.. Is this making sense?Mordecai wrote:I very much dislike being ignored. I asked you a question Job. I expect an answer.
If uzziah isn't setting up Meta for a future game, why would he be so obviously bad? What do you think the probability of him being a horseman with a death activated ability is? Your initial non response to my question makes me wonder if you know that its true, and that you're trying to push his lynch for specifically that reason. Which would explain why you ignored that part of my post to avoid the issue.
I apologize if you answered me earlier and I missed it.
Re your question about likelihood of horseman shenanigans, I personally doubt this is the case, because I doubt he expected to get so much flak from me for his statement. Believe it or not there are even more obnoxious things you could do than that to attract unwanted attention

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]
No I don't believe that all his teammates are coming into the thread to call it lazy. But there are quite a few people who expressed opinions like this, enough to quirk my brow. If uzziah is bad, I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of these people are scum. No, I still disagree it is a lazy vote. There are many more reasons that he appears scummy than his initial rooting post, as I've been trying to outline.
As for future wifom, you may have a point, but part of it in a typical game is being able to point to your identity and how you've done it in past games. I agree that maybe I didn't consider the roles being matched up at game end, but I still think it made no sense to do.
Regardless, I feel like a broken record, but I couldn't care less about his initial rooting post and why it is wifom etc, he's done nothing to steer opinion of himself positively IMO, you decide for yourself but it's the best I have to go on.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]
Quite frankly I am remembering why I had my eye on you day 1.Lot wrote:Why wouldn't Uzziah be doing it for future game set up? All will be revealed at the end... you think he can't say in a future game 'When I was Uzziah in Biblical mafia I did that'?
I hate that I'm defending this guy, but a lot of the stuff being said about him just doesn't make any sense. Job has tunnel vision, but no his reasoning is not good. The only thing about it that is true is that Uzziah is refusing to be helpful in the thread, but mostly I think Job has tunnel vision because the person Uzziah has been looking at for a lynch is Job.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]
I don't have tunnel vision as your friend Lot is trying to make everyone believe. I was absolutely open minded, but absolutely nothing you have said in this game has made me feel better about your alignment whatsoever. You voted the sketchiest option d0, you have the sketchiest post of the game, you pulled a no u on my suspicion of you, you replied to me snark I'll and refused to post thoughts on other players upon my request, the list goes on and on. If you had done 3 of those gazillion things and made some progress towards doing something remotely town, perhaps I could look the other way. But combined with your scumminess, others are voucher for you and it only makes me more suspicious.Uzziah wrote:If Job was good, he would have backed down on pursuing me.
I will be voting Uzziah now and I hope others will follow.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]
Consider in addition to what I've already pointed out, how many people are subtly defending Uzziah comment by calling suspicion of him dumb or lazy. This makes me wary tbqh. I disagree that it is easy. If you want an example take a look at how difficult it is to convince the players in this very game.
People make valid points when they say 'but why would you do that if you're bad?' to which I respond, stop using that as the sum of the case. Yes it is the basis point for why I am suspicious of him, but he has done scummiest things since then, like refusing to be helpful and responding snarkily, voting early, etc.
But if you're still hung up on the rooting statement, I'll say again. The reason you would say 'I am bad' when good is so that you get lynched and everyone discovers OMG he did it as town. It only takes a few times of that happening before eventually you're dealt a scum role and now you are free to say things that are bat sit crazy without suspicion. My point being, no one knows for certain who Uzziah is, so there is no point in setting up for a future game. He's doing it for the wifom.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]
You be surprised. I witnessed someone claim they were mafia day after day and never get lynched in a recent game. People think it's so obvious it couldn't be true. But what purpose does it have in a sock game?Nicodemus wrote:"Rooting for" versus "Rooting out" would seem to be the deciding factor on the Uzzie front. When you say "rooting for" you mean cheering on, when you say "rooting out" you mean the weeding definition that was given. Thhough I would think it would be too foolhardy to openly admit to "rooting for" mafia.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]
Yes it might be ridiculous to lynch him solely for that comment, but don't you think his behaviour since has been anything but town? He refuses to comment on anyone but three people. He responds curtly, he throws a tantrum and he acts like it's ridiculous to even entertain the thought that root could be interpreted as "cheer". He votes early for no reason without explaining and did a huge no u on my suspicions him. His entire existence is wifom and there is no reason for it if you have nothing to hide. You don't need to know his identity. The reason people wifom is to make people less suspicious of them in future games when they do the same behaviour.Deborah wrote:Judging Uzziah's rooting post would be a lot easier if I could know who the player is. Without that knowledge, it could just be a stupid early game comment meant to stir the pot. As it is, I don't think a Uzziah lynch would be a bad idea, but it would be lazy. Lynching someone for a post that could have been a joke is lazy, but it is fine if nothing more concrete emerges. I hope that makes sense. Off for lunch now, will continue to catch up later.Job wrote:RIP darlin.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]
This is ridiculous and you know it. Calling attention to Paul's silence is like saying "OMG guys the sun is shining in the sky". I didn't have to say it to bring attention to it. Anyone who can read noticed, because a lot of people were complaining how much he was talking on Day 1. I'd be willing to bet he's easily within the top three posters as of the time he left day 1.Rachel wrote:I don't think it matters.

So are you going to share any thoughts on anyone besides myself, Paul and Cain or are you going to continue to be unhelpful and further verify that you're bad? I don't believe you used that definition of the word for even a second.
