Like, for instance, when Scotty died, I was a bit skeptical of his legacy since he had had a very similar role in the recent past, and it isn't the commonest role. But then he shot Lily, and that confirmed his legacy for me.
I'm a bit confused by this? Marmot followed Robyns vote in the Day One elimination poll, the one that counted. He said he randomed Bereft in the night poll, which appears to only be a place keeper for the poll, and then LC followed him. He made a lets vote together post before Marmot voted. It didn't look like anyone was guiding Marmots vote, Marmot voted first.robyn wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 5:49 amhave no respect for his play and he becomes findable.Porscha wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 3:39 am i'm too lazy to find the marmot posts but he pushed back on lily trying to claim that robyn was treating me and her unfairly and then boldly rando voted
which leads into my next comment, which is when I went back again I only found like 1 post by long con I townread, idk what I was remembering from before. but long con also jumped onto marmot's random vote idea expeditiously, and I didnt like that. marmot has a reason to loudly exclaim "hey idk what's going on, help" right. he clearly isn't like, super caught up with the game or quite active. long con, however, seems to be caught up in thread when he posts, and yet he like... tried to act like he was just being a silly little guy for fun when he guided marmot's vote. it was irresponsible

Re: Landlord Legacy Listing - Day Two (2)
Not insulting. We just don't usually play flipless, so you might have gone with a reasonable sprinkle of distancing, forgetting its not as effective flipless.S~V~S wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 6:41 pmI voted off wagon for Lily because she had one post. End of story. And considering that i voted her 6 hours before EOD, when anything could have happened, it would be a stupid move for a wolf when votes can't be moved. Which i can guarantee you wolf SVS would have thought of.Long Con wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 12:54 pm Lily was a wolf. We don't have flips, so we have to use less-concrete evidence and make some decisions, or we are not going to be able to make any useful connections.
She had no legacy because she was not town, and they were hoping Scotty wouldn't listen to robyn and I. He probably didn't listen anyway, but was always planning on taking lily out. Who knows?
Lily is a wolf, she voted to take out Town Scotty on Day one, and so did Abi and bereft. Do the wolves stick together on votes more or less in a flipless? No idea. I'd like to say this makes bereft and Abi less likely to be wolves but I don't know.
Lily the wolf voted last. At the time, was there another player in danger of becoming the lead? She may have saved someone.
S~V~S voted off-wagon, for Lily. Now that we know Lily was a wolf, this puts S~V~S in a highly suspicious place - she's a wolf partner who saw easy mild cred for voting a teammate on Day 1? Although, flipless, that matters a great deal less because the cred dissipates when the alignment is unsure. Still, I don't know that wolf S~V~S would consider that, plus who knows what abilities might be out there that will reveal some alignments before long?
I'm not sure if youre not insulting me with "wolf SVS might not consider that", lol.
What do you think of Capes theory that there was one wolf between you and Marmot? Your reads list called Marmot slightly wolfy~ still feel this way?
Spoiler: show
Marmot is meh. I find it hard to have strong Wolf feelings on a slanker. But I also would not object to him being eliminated.
I still am firmly in the camp that I am not a Wolf.

Pyxxy has been here, said something, I don't remember what, but it didn't ping me like their posts did in the two games where i correctly called them out as scum, so that's something, I guess. Still want more from him, but he's not my priority pick for today since there are worse slots.

Re: Landlord Legacy Listing - Day Two (2)
You brought up "not attempting to benefit from her death" several times, but that doesn't mean that much to me. It's only been half a day, I wouldn't expect you to blast into the thread, telling us how towny this makes you look. I'm sure you would have some subtlety if you chose to try to benefit, like responding to others with the suggestion of a perspective.robyn wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 2:58 pmnothing, the issue isn't so much the read, the reason i'm using logic here is because unlike n0 you have reasoning here which would catch wolves. everything beforehand was nonsense. but here the issue is that your read relies upon many things which don't apply. sure wolf theatre is good and can catapult people to towniness. but that's not what i've done or how i've handled lily at allLong Con wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 2:46 pmI did discuss the reasoning for wolf-you to call off the hit from Scotty. The information that you are experienced in the craft, specifically with Lily, doesn't make me less suspicious, you know? Like, ok, you guys are really good at it. You obviously know what +town points you expect me to hit, since you just stated them unbidden, so what's stopping wolf-you from setting it all up 'just so'?robyn wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 2:41 pmyou’re not, lily just won an mu game after we distanced by theatre. in this case however i am town, and you’ve had a clever idea which probably would catch a wolf in a lot of scenarios. but you’re missing the forest for the trees. 1) read my iso and play independent of lily 2) notice that there’s a solid chance that she can be town 3) notice that i made many posts saying that i didn’t scumread lily and most importantly i made a post telling scotty that she should live 4) i’ve made no attempt to benefit off her death and give myself towncred
i've made no attempt to benefit off her death and i told scotty to let her live. this game is flipless. both of these points are extremely relevant because they give reasoning that theatre isn't necessary and shouldn't be done. imagine if your partner dies and the thread townreads them but scumreads a town.
in this case you've convinced yourself that lily was scum which is a logical leap in and of itself. and by extension have called me and her argument theatre, which is another logical leap. you must know that i haven't tried to benefit off her death and as a wolf i'd have sr her and would've aggressively taken credit, that's distancing and theatre. what happened in this game was not that
and as i've said you've begun ignoring everything else that i've done in this game in favor of my treatment and potential distancing from lily. which simply doesn't hold under scrutiny. i can explain more but i go to class ~now and no more access to latop. the issue is literally just that you've confirmation biased yourself into a world where i uniquely benefit from that's opposite to how i've played before and after her death
You often seem quite towny to me, but that's kind of normal. I don't require a game-long exposé of bad behaviour to have a suspicion, because most wolves are good enough at acting towny most of the time, aren't they? Focusing on the Lily situation and finding suspicion in it - sure, let's call it a stand-out anomaly in your otherwise towny play. But that's how this works. That's where I expect to be able to build suspicions. If I accept that "you've begun ignoring everything else that i've done in this game" is exonerating, then who's left? Marmot, I guess, because he has never acted towny once?
ESPECIALLY because this is flipless, I need to cast my anchor somewhere. I'm not going to get any help along the way, and I'm sorry but this is not going to be an easy one for me to drop, and I will likely vote for you, robyn. My best advice is to make a better case against someone else, and not to waste time trying to convince me. There's just too little to hold on to, this is where I'm placing my chips.

I just thought of something, and it needs to be shared in the interest of fairness. You need to know that I can see invisible people logged in, at the bottom of my screen. This is a function of my role as member of the Graphic Design team here.
There might be reasons why a player would want to turn invisible, to seem like they're not present in order to read up without getting called out. Or whatever. Just know that I can see you if you are logged in. If you wish to truly be undetected, then you must Log Out and read the thread.
I myself stay invisible all the time. As town or wolf, playing or social talkin'. I will not judge your alignment based on invisibility, because ya can't judge mine!
Just occurred to me that it should be known.

Never mind about what I said about robyn.
The whole thing between robyn and lily was theatrical, a distancing act. They are wolves together.
The scenario played out in my head: robyn called for the shot as part of a distancing act, but in the wolf chat they're like "dude he'll do it, that's too much!" and later she called on Scotty to rescind.robyn wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2023 11:11 pm i would very much like to kill lily, her play is bottom barrel and fucking nonsensical, truly atrocious. but the question of porscha's that i've ignored, i don't find her scummy. she's an intelligent person and can snap out of this nonsense. i would very much like to kill her for everything that she's done, it would be very gratifying. and scotty would probably follow me. but in the killing wolves department i can't see her as a wolf for all this terrible terrible play. she should live for now and i will chop her myself if she continues to play so fucking awfully.

Re: Landlord Legacy Listing - Day Two (2)
And arguing with myself doesn't seem like a fun prospect but I just thought of something.
Won't Wolf mates tell each other to make sure to have good legacies ready?
Maybe it is a lot more likely that a town Lily would neglect an early legacy because she has nothing to prove or deceive. And no one to prod her to do it.

I mean, it is the basis of my original suspicion of Lily and me calling for Scotty to shoot her. Looking at the back-and-forth and making a judgment call from it.

Re: Landlord Legacy Listing - Day Two (2)
This game is bereft of information. At some point, we are going to have to decide what the meager information we do have is telling us. I have decided that I believe Lily was a Wolf, and the lack of legacy fits that idea, to me.WindwardAway wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 1:09 pm I don't get why you agree with me that lily was scum for not leaving a legacy when she was definitely aware she risked dying by Scott's hand, but everyone else is just like "maybe she's town and she forgot". Am I missing something?

Re: Landlord Legacy Listing - Night One (1)
I don't recall a lot of suspicion, but he wasn't the Most Townread in the game either. Maybe he just got killed because he's town, and nothing more.WindwardAway wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 12:51 pm"Nook is a higher poster" is something I never expected to seeLong Con wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 12:43 pmCape90 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2023 9:47 pmTOWN:

NANOOK
1 WOLF:
Marmot
Long Con (one between him and Marmot and yes this is a wagon read)
then the only one i missed is pyxxy which right now Idk.So that's Cape's last post and legacy. Wolves knew what the legacy would look like, as it's pretty much identical to what he said in the thread. So, couple of options.Cape90's Legacy reads:
"If you are reading this I am dead. I am town, I have given out a coffee bean from a prize.
TOWN:
Boquise
WWA
LimeCoke
Princess Abigail
probs Porscha
probs lilypetal
I wanna say one of Long Con or Marmot are scum but not both for voting Bereft N1. If so probs spews Bereft town.
Sort the rest, I am least confident in ALL of my townreads on S~V~S"
One, the wolves feared his reads and killed him because of it. That places Long Con, Marmot, DrWigly, robyn, JOH2005, and NANOOK under suspicion. Mostly a weak list, because Marmot, Wilgy, and Jack are low-posters. NANOOK is a higher poster, but still in the low half. Unless all the wolves are in that list, I don't believe this is why he was killed. No one is scared to lose the slanker on their wolf team; you bus the slanker for cred. Robyn is the standout name there, I would call her Cape's one true suspicion. Kinda hiding in blah-town in Cape's readslist though, I hardly think she felt all that threatened... a point bolstered by the fact that she didn't even make his Legacy.
Second option is that this kill is intended to send us off in the wrong direction: we are supposed to take to heart that Cape's reads were good, and start eliminating players based on that. I believe this option is what actually happened. If it were just a legacy, who knows, but Cape's reads were Right Out There, easy for wolves to say "that's our guy, we want those reads certified by Cape's death."
I think cape was mostly townread, too, right? Or was there still a substantial number of people sussing him?

And there has been analysis, but nothing like it was a couple of years ago. Analysis was organized and rigorously applied, using methods with Names.

Re: Landlord Legacy Listing - Day Two (2)
Lily was a wolf.
