Re: Cyberpunk Mafia [Day 1]

I'd like to remind everyone that HK is actually only at 3 votes, so right now wagons are

Nook - 4 Belzy, Porscha, Spacedaisy, Caitlin
Pyxxy - 3 tutuu, Lime Coke, fingersplints
HK - 3 NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME, DrWilgy, Seanzie

Honestly, I feel like not much has happened, which is worriesome.

HK, Nook and Pyxxy are wagons. HK's wagon is one smaller than it looks because Lime Coke subbed in for Baker.

I'd still possibly support a Baker/LC wagon (where I was at before moving to HK in a failed attempt at creating a tie)
Upon rereading through Porscha in isolation real quick, I do think that I'd like for my Porscha wagon to be back.

Porschas Nanook vote just seems to be slipped in there, and the only read I find is that Falcon and Pyxxy are towny.

Falcon being obvious town is just a lackluster statement, and then Pyxxy got a point for what seemed like am awfully level 0 read.

Originally, I had thought Porscha having 20 or so posts earlier without substance was somewhat sketchy, but now that it hasn't changed, It is even more so.
There are 8 minutes left and no one has talked about Porscha more than a little today. While I agree that they should get some scrutiny tomorrow, they aren't a reasonable option to consider right now. What do you think of the current wagons?

I kinda like the whole "let new players survive D1 thing", but I also don't like the current wagons that much and it feels like no one is heading towards a non-Baker wagon I'd like (I mean, there's HK, but meh... I'm shiz at reading HK, so I'd probably only vote them if it was between them and a townread, rather than because of my HK read).

I didn't ignore anything else you've said. Looking at your ISO, your first 40 posts don't really contain any content (you voted Nanook over them scumclaiming, and vote HK because: "It's time to dismount the hollowkatt wagon. Baker is here." whatever that means. Aside from those, you had a joke-read on Caitlin early on and a joke-push on Tutuu early on, and then decided to make the point that Caitlin was posting goofy vs fluffy when Falcon was clearly trying to highlight that most of Caitlin's posts did not have solvy content, NOT that they weren't goofy?

After those 40 posts with essentially no content, you actually do give some reads, but the closest thing to an explanation you provide for any of them is that " I liked Falcon's reactions so far from what I am reading.", and that "Pyxxy and Seanzie are doing things which is better than nothing.". I don't actually know why you townread any of the people on your list, and as I already explained, I think your take on me is lacking.

Plus, you never responded to me here:

Also, I've spoken in length about you in at least 3 posts prior to this, so you should know the answer to "What's your problem with me?" already, and if you'd like to engage with any of the things I've already said, I am happy to. If you think I am ignoring something you said/did, please let me know what and I will take a look.

It’s funny, I was just thinking this as I am reading in my catch up. I think I’ll move my vote back to [VOTE: Kate] aubergine.

I am slightly leaning town on Cait, Falcon, tutuu, and Wilgy.

Not sure about hk. I don’t understand why they got votes to begin with and their response to it seems very understated. I feel like I’d try to be chill about it like that if I was in that position and were bad.

In the end I am more familiar with Kate and I originally voted her since she had one post and wanted to encourage her to post some more. But it doesn’t feel like there is effort there I expect from her. Don’t worry about catching up Kate it’s mostly just Day 1 antics and Falcon is the only one really building a case. Just jump in and play from here because it’s probably going to come down to your gut anyway.

Honestly, there isn’t much to base anything on so it’s the best I’ve got at the moment.

Anyway, those are my current thoughts. They aren’t really worth much.
mostly I'm used to carrying wagons early in the game so I don't typically pay much attention to them. Nanook is going to vote me and park there it's a thing he's done basically since our champs game last year. Tutuu had an opportunistic vote but the rest of their content has been super townie so I don't really care about that either. Wigly is random and does whatever he wants to do, again it's just kind of a thing that exists.
Finally there's Caitlin who is what I consider the only legit vote I'm carrying as her suspicion is at least explained and understandable.

ultimately it's a 4 vote wagon with one auto, one rando, one opportunistic, and one legit vote. Not a thing I'd actually concern myself with.
Fair enough.
I want more than "Fair enough." after the biggest opinion you've had yet gets deflated live right before your eyes.

[VOTE: Spacedaisy] aubergine

I acknowledge that this is maybe an unfair expectation.
Fair enough = I am unsure how I feel about the response, but it felt reasonable.

@Seanzie this is probably fruitless but can u pls say sorry to belzy and kiss up so we can move on plz ur both extremely clearly town

u know i dont generally like right winged politics / rhetoric but theres one rhetoric that seems applicable in this scenario - "lets focus on logic and ignore emotions" - pls can we do that

i think sean vs belzy and belzy vs sean is purely emotional from both of ur ends and its clouding ur judgements

ur both the GOATs and ur both town cmon we're the power rangers
This might be because I'm from the US where the political landscape is uhh... bad... but I don't associate that maxim with right-winged politics.

I don't actually have a strong read on Belzy, they are litterally the null color, just south of the bigger null group. I'm just getting frustrated that most of their posts call me scum without elaboration and I want to figure out if this is them trying to wolf and get me over, or if it is them town but not actually willing to work towards a better read on me by engaging with me beyond surface-level accusations.

I also know that the few time I go over as town, it is usually because of bad D1 flash wagons, and enough random people have called me scum without elaboration that this is actually exactly the atmosphere that precedes a bad D1 flashwagon on pro-town Sean. No one has a case, no one elaborates, but when panic sets in close to EoD, someone offers me up, and people jump there even though I have not actually been explored throughout the day. As such, wanna nip that in the bud right now.

No I am not worldbuilding for a full team, I just see the post Pyxxy made re:Spacedaisy as very townie, where you see it as scummy.

My mention about the Pyxxy/Finger thing to you was because I know your read on Pyxxy, and I thought you might be viewing FS through that lens, in which case FS's vote might look good to you (and honestly, I think if Pyxxy did flip scum, it would look reasonably good for FS since their vote did not feel like bussing/distancing), even though I think it is objectively bad.

Daisy is down there because I agreed with Pyxxy's take, but not necessarily based off of worldbuilding around Pyxxy's alignment or other people's alignments.

Baker is a big one, but I don't want to push there because I do kinda like the site soft-meta of letting 1st timers play at least one full day.

I'm probably going to push for a FS vote, I'd love to hear your opinion there.

Fingersplits was someone I had a hard time sorting GTH so I looked at their ISO. The majority of their posts are NAI posts about Kate being a LHF while never actually taking a stance on Kate. Their push on Pyxxy I think is picking at something that is that level -1 type of scummy that comes from town as often (maybe more often) than scum, and their post about me is starkly contrasted with my own self-perception right now. I actually had them slightly higher when I started writing this, but I moved them down halfway through this paragraph.

Belzy is focusing almost exclusively on me, and I don't like that. I'm not sure if they're slightly below null entirely because of OMGUS, but I definitely want to see them actually... do things that aren't just parrot their read of me over and over again.

Porscha I didn't feel the best about putting them there. I usually find them relatively quickly, and honestly while I think they are closer to town than wolf here, I don't feel confident about that, and that worries me.

Daisy's posts could easily have come from a wolf looking for a reason to support a wagon on a townie, and then when HK responded with some meh meh meh meh, Daisy didn't see it as meh, and instead said "oh, I shouldn't push there because HK is cognizent/fighting back". Daisy felt like they didn't actually want to engage with HK.
thats just how daisy talks ime. she puts a lot of effort to be polite, be cordial, she vehemently avoids getting in people's faces
1. Would Pyxxy know that?

2. I agree that that is what I expect from Daisy as a person, but they can still solve while being cordial, and that is not the sense I got from their interaction with HK.

Your vote on Tutuu, your approval of the HK wagon, and your scumreads.
My vote on Tutuu is a just a holdover from page 3. I've already said this to you. Are you listening, or do you just want to chop me no matter what?

What is wrong with the HK wagon? I'm not even on it and it has 3 others, so I am not the only one who views HK as potentially bad. Since you said you don't like my scumreads, does that mean you townread Baker? They're voting HK.

one definition of calling someone a lhf is to basically call them a noob

another definition of calling someone a lhf is say that theyre slanking (low posting) in this particular game

ive seen people use both definitions here and thats what causing discord from the looks of it
Town Kate falls into non of these categories
Kate currently is very non-active and has not actually engaged with the game. They claim to be busy, which I believe to be NAI, and I could see them seeing themselves as the slanking LHF.

I do want to say that I don't think LHF means noob. Many people have a certain aire of scumminess to them that they have a hard time shaking as town, or have townplay that is sometimes deemed unorthodox. These people can be quite good, very experienced players, but often end up being miselimmed due to these factors, and I believe they fall into the LHF category sometimes since they are common pushes.

Also still not a fan of Seanzie's early theory, I still don't rlly believe that they believed it as strongly as they appeared to be, which is a scumtell I once heard
This is true, and that was purposeful. I often throw out overly-confident reads in the early game because this is how you get the game going, it give people something to do something with. Reads that are actually at D1 confidence don't generate content

I literally picked up this technique from watching a video from JJJ about good town play.

cait - obv town, tons of posting, frustrated at getting scumread by falcon
belzy - obv town, imo exhausting questions due to diligence due to being town
falcon - obv town, should always be townread, diligence, theres solving

daisy - i think her tone is rly towny; non-chalant; rejected a townread due tone
porscha - i think town due to being chill; porscha is prone to being perpetually anxious; as scum she'd struggle hiding it more
sean - i think town due to the normal town sean where he makes up some reads and lies about being confident about them. that's what he's done every single town game so no reason to doubt it. i havent seen him copy it as scum in the 2 scum games ive seen of him. i also thought that his thoughts were interesting on tutuu/cait/wilgy being w/w/w even tho its pretty off and pretty pepe silvia
roxy - just town due to tone, seems consistent with past town games, i dig her reads too

wilgy - i dunno how to read him
finger - i dunno how to read her
kate - i dunno how to read her this game
baker - i had some towny pings but a lot of ppl are expressing a scumread so i need to take baker out. potentially whiteknighted town!cait from town!falcon
nook - i dunno how to read him
hkatt - i dunno how to read him. similar to baker. gut i wanna say town but he seems pretty calm and cordial which is generally scummy especially for hkatt imo and also im taking into account the scumreads placed onto him so im rejecting my gut townread here

pyx - i think he saw the v/v wagons at hkatt and kate and didnt want the heat and placed vote onto v!daisy. daisy is obv town for me but she can also be not a too difficult mischop for mafia here as her townyness isnt shown in the standard / expected way of a town to show, its an easy vote to make on daisy here. i hated it

i personally dont think pyxxy is w/w with hkatt and w/w with kate, as i predict that pyxxy would be bussing them if he's mafia, as he loves bussing in general + recent game mafia bussed hardcore and stole a won game from town so he'd be biased to bus even more imo
Why hasn't your read on me changed since page 3?

Okay.... uhh what?

I usually have a good sense of where I'm at in terms of content, and sometimes I have a meh ISO, but not this time.

My first two posts I move the game out of RVS with a nuanced take on 3 players from the first 4 pages. My next two posts I question Tutuu's uncharacteristic townread of me, getting a sense of a player in the way I find best (getting them to engage with me about me), Then I pressured the highest-posting slot to interact with me, I made one joke post, and then two posts asking/thanking Baker for their avatar, I think ask clear pointed questions to Baker that they never responded to, then made a joke because Caitlin expects me to be playing 24/7, and then dropped multiple nuanced takes on 3 of the key players currently IMO.

What about this is redirection and fluff? I had maybe 3 or 4 joke/fluff posts, the rest were content-ladden.

For those scumreading me here, I don't get it. Sometimes this happens and I get it, but here? Nah. I'm peak-towning here. Right ya'z heads and lets actually solve this.

God this is such a wolf post imo
