I won't be having a drink right now because I'm in the library. In my opinion, libraries are probably the greatest place to have a drink though.

Don't worry, tomorrow we'll get LC.

Would you vote LC under the current insane circumstances?
By "insane circumstances," do you mean the insane lack of any consensus regarding the votes, or the insane LC?
Yes
:|

Then yes. The disingenuous nature to Long Con's Day 1 vote is, for me, the strongest point against him, among several. I don't worry too much about posting restrictions when they come from civilians. In one of llama's full games, I was cursed (I think MM did it to me) and I got lynched. I was bad. People could have had mercy on me and let me carry on another day, but they didn't.
Yes that was me. I remember making a case you were bad one day, then cursing you that night so you couldn't defend against it. :beer:

What do you think about responding to my answers to your posts about me earlier?

Also, that Sorsha was bad does not mean that LC was not also bad.

Also, at the time I voted, another vote on Sorsha wouldn't have made a difference. I was personally more suspish of LC, so I voted that way.

No. No she didn't. I voted for who I thought was Mafia. You, on the other hand, have two people who are telling you that I am a civvie and you still won't buy it. You are the one who voted for me, then tried to get a lynch train happening on me.

A lynch train that LC voted for, LC who you think is evil, at least for the next 14 seconds.

BTW, I do hope you enjoy crow. I will be serving you a heaping portion of it and the end of the game. :noble:

Hey guys, that was a harrowing lynch, I'm glad we finally got one in Sorsha. Oh yeah, also how's about you don't lynch me because I'm not a freakin' baddie?! :evileye:

I don't know what inspired people to hop on the classic old "LC is a baddie" train, but I assure you that you don't want to lynch me. I don't really know what else to say, is there a case against me, or did someone just point their finger and everyone ran where they were pointing?

As for eating crow, Illy, sure let's lynch you tomorrow and see if I do. I still believe, in general, that lynching a pretty much inactive over a proven liar is a bad idea, but it happened to work out this time. :)

Dom's mentions of Sorsha:

He says he might vote her tomorrow (which he cannot do now), and questions Nerolunar about mentioning Sorsha.

Nothing of substance there.

++++

ika's mentions of Sorsha:
ika wrote:ika

DrWilgy
thellama73

Long Con
Lorab
Matt

Black Rock

Epignosis
Polo

Spacedaisy
Metalmarsh89
Dom

the colors should be explitory, i left out reasons intentionally and that the order does nto matter, i gave it no "more scum/town then the other" jsut colro, so if someone would like to knwo more let me know im gonna start sorting nulls
First mention is green, and he says it's for no reason.

Apparently ika temporarily voted Sorsha Day 3, also for no reason.

++++

Scotty:
Scotty wrote:Sorsha: she's taken a pretty aggressive stance this game. Not sure what that says about her alignment. Null read
He also asks ika why he voted Sorsha without announcing it.
Scotty wrote:Also I think the case you just made about Sorsha makes her look bad, not good, like you concluded.
Although he didn't say why, he disagreed with my assessment of Sorsha.

He says he would consider changing his vote (from me) to Sorsha, and then asks Dom if Dom would. Scotty votes Sorsha when he could have easily kept his vote on me and let Long Con and Sorsha pile on there.

I like this.

++++

MM:

First mention isn't until Day 3, and just says Sorsha has entertained a spacedaisy vote.

When Black Rock directly asks him about her, he says:
Metalmarsh89 wrote:She has been quiet. I thought she was quiet in Spirited Away, but she's been event quieter and less participatory here. Of her 40 posts, almost half of them came on Day 1. But the same could be said for a few people.
This is more of a comment on her activity rather than alignment.

Twelve minutes later, he offers this and a vote:
Metalmarsh89 wrote:Here it was.
Sorsha wrote:Yeah. I'm voting Nero too. I could also vote ika, I'd like him to explain what "the point" actually was when he said "that's not the point"here I kinda want to vote LC too over the "slip" too. Not totally sure if it was one but seems like strange wording otherwise.
This was Sorsha's only post on Day 5, and it was to pop in and put a vote on Nero. Scotty posted his vote for Nero just before, and that was his only post of the day until about an hour before the deadline.

The timing of these two things is probably coincidental. But looking at Sorsha's vote, she did vote for Nerolunar without a reason, while offering reasons to vote for ika and Long Con and also stating interest. This doesn't make much sense.
This is a fairly nuanced post, and the peripheral mentioning of Scotty here gives me the impression that these are MetalMarsh89's natural thoughts.

++++

thellama73 has no mentions of Sorsha.

++++

Illyria:

First mention says "Gut leaning bad but undecided." She says she's happy to vote Long Con or Sorsha. She calls Sorsha, Dom, and LC Mafia when she voted Sorsha. Her reaction to Sorsha's lynch is composed and thoughtful. She says, and I quote, "WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Motherfucking FISTPUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!"

++++

Lorab has one very recent mention:
LoRab wrote:
Matt wrote:What does everyone think of Lorab voting for a presumed curse person now that we know the other top candidate was a mafia? :puppy:
What do you think about responding to my answers to your posts about me earlier?

Also, that Sorsha was bad does not mean that LC was not also bad.

Also, at the time I voted, another vote on Sorsha wouldn't have made a difference. I was personally more suspish of LC, so I voted that way.
I agree with her, since her not voting Sorsha doesn't matter if Long Con is bad.

++++

Black Rock's first mention comes with a vote on Day 3:
Black Rock wrote:I voted Sorsha, because why not? I suspect her just as much as I suspect the rest of you. I don't like the Daisy lynch. I think she's civ. She's sounding like one.

I'm honestly not convinced by any of the cases so Sorsha? Sure. Her name is right beside Daisy's, they're both ladies, I have played with them both for a long time. Almost the same. Daisy has a lot better content and sounds like she's trying to help. I haven't seen any of that from Sorsha so there is where my preference is.

I might switch my vote to something better. I'm just not going to vote for Daisy.
Day 6, Black Rock called Sorsha and Long Con teammates, but suggests lynching Sorsha first. And does.

Her bottom three is notably the same as Illyria's:
Black Rock wrote:Dom
Long Con
Sorsha
She entreats Matt to vote Sorsha, and comments on how LC and Sorsha both voted Illyria.

All good stuff.

++++

Long Con only really talks about Sorsha in the context of other games (AWR, Spirited Away). There's nothing significant there.

++++

In Matt's first mention, he names Illyria, Sorsha, and Lorab as bad, but can't put his finger on why. He only elaborates on Illyria.
Matt wrote:If the poll stays like this, I would rather vote Sorsha then Long Con, but two peeps I don't necessarily trust have their votes on Sorsha :/
Matt wrote:Long Con, the other day you said you could see Illy as bad, you should vote her!

Why should i give my reads for anyone to copy? moreso do you ahve any reads?
What methods do you use for baddie hunting? There must be a big play style difference between here and the other site(s) you play at if you don't give reads on players.
In response to ika's indignant reply to Dom, Sorsha asks him about methodology.

I must of missed this, i saw silver answer so i will answer myself.

i do give reads, i just dont give them out right away. depeding on the type of game will depend on what i do. most time i will try to towhunt and POE the rest out. other times i jsut like zoning in on people and see if they break.

this game im going to try to role hunt everyone :P
Alright, I gotcha.

Silverwolf wrote:I will say if Epi acts anti-town regardless of alignment, he's always gonna be null to me and I'd lynch just to make sure so I hope that changes.
^that pretty much, doesn't matter how much he has played or how long. To me, when someone nerfs themselves to improve scum games by downplaying town games, they are not playing proper. if anything one should try to make their scum game more like their town game if it is better and vice versa.

from what i hear and see epi has a better town game when he tries, so he should improve his scum game to mirror that and not jsut "dumb down" his town game

to me it its not even goign to generate a read its just going to be policy lynch material
Oh no.... did you say p-p-p-policy l-lynch? *shudders at the not so long ago memory* *backs away from ika*
Sorsha makes a joke about policy lynches.

MacDougall declared Matt his policy lynch at one time in a game here a few months back and it didn't go over well. Mac was from another forum where I guess that kind of thing was more "the norm," we (Syndicaters and players from the Syndicates predecessors RM, LP and TP) hadn't been exposed to that tactic before then. I'm in now way trying to discourage you from it. I just saw the words "policy lynch" and remember the shit storm that ensued before.

He actually did it in two games simultaneously

Those are where Mac makes his declarations. I'm not sure how much further it was until it started getting intense but you can read for yourself. Mac was never lynched for it, just had to put up with people not liking his stance on the matter.
And continues.

As for Ika's comments re: Epi, I don't agree with it. And I think the practice of policy voting people for not playing a distinctly town game, regardless of whether that person is actually bad, is itself not a town strategy.
This post seems like filler to me, and Wilgy so far has been gazonks with his whiffle posting, which is making me think he might be ignatz trillo.

Am I doing a good job of keeping up with the new slang?
How is DFs post filler when he is giving opinions on actual game events? What is your definition of filler? I usually think of filler as non-game related comments or commenting but not giving an opinion.
Sorsha asks thellama73 about filler.

Because I believe Ika to be incapable of separating his personal relationships from the game, and I do not believe he would consent to killing Silver night one, if he were part of the mafia team.
Again, we know thellama73's view to be incorrect. Nevertheless, Sorsha expressed concern that ika was cleared.

ika- Are you incapable of separating your personal relationships from the game?

I don't necessarily suspect ika myself but I'm not just writing it off, if ika is bad and Silver isn't why wouldn't he get rid of her asap before she catches on?
Sorsha asks ika a direct question and says she doesn't suspect him. I don't see where ika ever responded directly to this, but to be fair, he was silenced Day 2.

Sorsha hopes ike doesn't get demoralized.

I want to pause here. Let's not let this hope escape scrutiny.

If ika was on her team, Sorsha would know ika's state of mind, and this statement (as well as her questions) becomes pretense.

If ika was not on her team, Sorsha would feel genuinely bad for potentially demoralizing someone she doesn't know very well.

I want to know this too. Where is black rock?
Sorsha wants to know about Black Rock's commitment toward lynching Long Con. In context, this was about me pursuing Black Rock, so in hindsight, I'm wondering if Sorsha was asking because she was more concerned about Black Rock pursuing Long Con.

Not that I disagree with you about Bubbles, but this strikes me as a little bit "low-hanging fruit". :eye:
I guess I'm just getting tired of this same crap all the time. Later on in the game it's important to have people who show up and contribute to conversations, I can't think of a time bubbles has ever done that. I don't care what kind of suspicion this draws to me either. Maybe we'll get lucky and she is bad. That's how she flipped in Arkham.
Long Con doesn't disagree about Bubbles, but gives Sorsha the eye about low-hanging fruit. Sorsha feigns annoyance.
Sorsha wrote:RIP Bubble-bea.

As for my Bubbles vote and lynch result there. I really don't care that she was a civ, she would not have been a help to us and would likely have been a mislynch later in the game anyway. So meh :shrug: I'd do it again. If that makes me suspicious I don't care.

Sorsha votes Long Con again. Of note is that at no point in between her first vote and her second did she find reasons why people should be lynching Long Con. "Gut" is vague and undefined, and only in the most extreme exceptions, when someone saying "gut" is screaming at the top of her lungs will people follow her. There's no effort to get Long Con lynched, and she votes there on the back of Black Rock's word.

This is important, because Sorsha had voted LC before, and put her vote on him then, but when the pressure came, Sorsha jumped ship and voted with her suspect against Illyria.
Sorsha wrote:Well if you've made up your mind that I'm bad you aren't going to like anything I have to say about it, you call it an excuse but it's the truth. :shrug: This is so far off from how I play when I'm bad but whatever, you think I'm bad but you aren't even voting for me? :ponder:
To Black Rock, Sorsha said this is "so far off from how I play when I'm bad," and funnily enough, I believe her about that. I think Sorsha was invested in Spirited Away and couldn't quite make the same investment here. It happens.

I'm posting this not to say that, but rather to point out that Sorsha "ponders" Black Rock voting for Long Con instead of her. I interpret this as Sorsha trying to draw the lynch away from a more powerful teammate. At this stage, a role check is less valuable than a block and a blackmail.

She's welcome to have as many suspicions as her heart desires, but when choosing between two and one can't talk it seems strange to choose that one. But she has since changed to me so meh :shrug2:
My interpretation strengthens.

The main selling point for me with LC is that slip that sig pointed out and now sig is dead.
This is in response to MetalMarsh89 asking if she would be willing to vote anyone else besides LC.

Good luck Matt, you can pull this off still :hugs:
Some last minute pot-stirring.

My recommendation is to work out who the third member is. I think Long Con is a lock for Day 7. He tipped his hand by voting Illyria and not Sorsha. Don't assume the third member tried to save Sorsha, and don't assume the third member tried to throw her under the bus. Either scenario is possible, and there are three outliers to consider.

Do you believe MM to be the third teammate?
