Yes, I think Speedchuck's early defense of him reads more like TMI rather than protecting a teammate. He knew Nova would not flip bad.

Daisy’s town. Her case meant the difference between Speed being lynched or not yesterday. That was no bus.

Oh, also I think I woudl move Kyle into the Town column, or at least the town leaning 3P column. I don't see any reason to suspect him. I like that he pointed me at Speedchuck to begin with.

the thing about 3p in this game is, sure they had potential to help the mafia but like... on the chalkboard they had potential to help out either half of the civs, who they'd have no way of personally identifying, or helping the mafia who they also had no way of identifying. At best they are working towards the same goal as we are, at worst they are working against our goal, with no way of knowing that they're making the right choices to help their own self interest.

Well, you wouldn't likely have pointed me towards scrutinizing Speedchuck if you were on his team. Therefore, I am relatively certain you can be placed in at least light green.

Turnip Head I wish I felt as convinced of that. I'm wary of players trying to advertise their 3Pness. Could much more easily be a facade to hide behind. What do you feel like your biggest contribution to the town has been this game?

My ISO of TH isn't current, but check it out. I felt the same way at one point but after reading all his posts (it was pretty fun actually), he's had some hard stances and opinions and isn't as disconnected as it seems at first glance. Here's a link to my thoughts.

Interesting dunya, will have to add TH to the "Should ISO" list. I am trying not to get too caught up in technical analysis though, giving the gut playing a thorough try this go round!

most of my read on TH in my ISO is gut based built on tone. I did add a disclaimer that I've never played with him, so I have an advantage of seeing him with fresh eyes and a disadvantage of not knowing how he plays as scum.

That's where I see the problem. You are worried about how you'd look in the thread, something that mafia (usually) worry about that civilians (usually) don't worry about.
I actually don't agree with that. When I'm supertowning or haven't got any heat on me, sure, I'm not actively caring or thinking about how I look. But when people suspect me when I'm town, I'm definitely more conscious of what I post and how I phrase it so I don't give anyone more ammunition to misrepresent my intentions or take things out of context. Sorry, this isn't really part of the ISO you, but I see this line of thought a lot and I can even throw shit towards someone about it, but essentially, even townies want to look town so they are trusted by other townies and not lynched. Half a townie's job is to vote and the other half is to not get lynched. saying we don't worry about it is really oversimplifying things.

I dunno. I prodded Scotty for info on his personality both from Scotty and others, and backed it up with a vote. My vote and questioning his motives and sincerity has created discussion. This is a good thing. We have 48 hours; my vote's moving all over the place before I make a more informed Day 1 decision.
This post strengthens my suspicion of dunya. Votes for pressure don't have a lot of teeth when you explain them away as harmless prodders.
I do the same thing sometimes... because I'm bad.
Marmot's second post itt, and it's straight to throwing suspicion my way. I wonder what happened with this suspicion...
Marmot wrote: Mon Apr 23, 2018 11:57 am [VOTE: Sloonei] aubergine

Placeholder until I get around to reading any of his posts.
oh look how it turns out. He places a placeholder vote on Sloonei. I mean, he just said I did something that he does when he's bad. and yet his placeholder vote goes randomly on Sloonei whom he hadn't interacted with itt.
Marmot wrote: Tue Apr 24, 2018 2:58 pm Switching my vote to Spacedaisy because pretty much her only on topic posts so far are interactions with dunya which include a mild defense, followed by a step back, then a step forward.
His first real vote backed with a defence of why he's voting that way. Spacedaisy wasn't under any other suspicion and Marmot actually took time to build a case. I like it.

Dude, there is a difference between defending someone as civ and confirming their story. I was asked directly by dunya to confirm what she was saying. She asked directly about a conversation between she and I that I did not recall. But since I know I'm not bad, she s unlikely to be lying about that particular point. I have no idea what her affiliaton is, but I have actually confirmed in my messages with dunya on discord and we have had a conversation about various players' play styles and yes Dom was one of them. So lynch her if you want. I have no idea if she is good or bad, but if that is all that you have against her, I can say first hand it is weak. Or lynch me instead, I don't care. Better me than a try hard civ.

Now, I'm going to go enjoy my birthday! See ya

linki @ lunalee: Don't care if it looks scummy. We are talking about a player voting for me that votes himself Day 1 every single game. So why is he voting me now? For weak sauce reasons.
I don't have anything against dunya though.
annnd I'm back to not being in love with this. He suspects Daisy, and claims he has nothing against me? What about Day 1 post where he came and backed LC's suspicion of me without being prompted to do so...just casually throwing shade my way and seeing what sticks? not a good look.

he made a pretty long ISO of Scotty's interactions with Epi after his death:

So, the question is... to those that know dunya, is this our lack of knowledge of her? Dunya's questions *feel* hollow to me, is this me trying to project dunya onto sloonei or something?

Addendum: My assumption was that Scotty is looking to push some folks into the spotlight for tomorrow's lynch that don't deserve it. But that might not be true. I find Scotty's Epignosis suspicion and growth thereof to be believable.

What I don't understand is Scotty's behavior post-lynch. A lot of self-righteousness for someone who doesn't know if he's actually right. That's what smells bad to me, and what made me look back through his Epignosis commentary.

There is a consistent theme of dunya suspicion in LC's post history, but this is where he placed his vote. This is my least favorite point I've seen brought against dunya in the game, so I'm not crazy about it being the apparent straw that broke the camel's back for LC. He made a more substantial point against her here:

Me too. I think maybe it was the original Phenon when I was doing that, and I got called out correctly for it. That's precisely why I am sensitive to it now.
But I don't necessarily agree that that is suspicious. Dunya announced her vote as a pressure vote well after the fact, and being open about pressure voting on Day 1 was fairly standard on RYM, where dunya comes from.

It's been a long time since I played a game with choutas, but I struggle to see how he can label "random voting" as a scumtell. Choutas is another player who has been predominantly focused on one suspect (Golden), and I don't agree with his reasoning at all. @Choutas give me other reads.

Sloonei asks Choutas for reads on players aside from Golden.

Addendum: I don't really know where these concerns he mentions stems from. If anything, Sloonei was turning other players' attention away from Golden, intentionally or not.

Marmot wrote: Thu Apr 26, 2018 2:15 am To expound on Sloonei, I think his posts from Day 1 suggest he's treading lightly around Golden, a player who is dangerous when he's on either alignment. Golden voted for Sloonei a few times so far this game, Sloonei responded to those votes. But Sloonei's only other mentions of Golden were talking to other players who suspected Golden.

If Sloonei is civilian, I don't see reason for him to behave this way with Golden, nor would I expect him to. And if he does have concerns, I'd like to hear them, because I don't see evidence of these concerns yet.

Oooh, I almost forgot, Sloonei also disagreed with Long Con's and my unwillingness to play Golden's game.

there's more on that Day 2 but those are the main 2. I actually really dig the inquisition and genuine scum hunting nature. I'm curious to keep reading and see where he dropped his Sloonei suspicion. @Lunalee what changed between these two posts?

I ditched my Long Con vote because my single vote on him was not going to do anything. I switched to Sloonei because of the two lynch trains, I felt most confident about his. I am still suspicious of both Sloonei and Long Con.

But those votes were less than an hour apart?

True. I mistakenly thought the poll ended at 5, so I was quick to jump. I realized later that I had another day.

In response to this interaction. I find Lunalee's defense here sincere and think it checks out.

Especially when coupled with this post. 22 hours into the day phase, I don't know why Luna would call speedchuck out for not voting yet just because. It makes more sense if she thinks there's 2 hours left in the day.

However, if Long Con is mafia, I find this interaction between the two of them damning for Lunalee.

A Luna vote is still very much on the cards for me.

When I realized that the Oracle was something written by a player, I thought Luna's comment after it might indicate that she is the Oracle role.

Yeah, at the time I didn't understand the oracle role either. It is now much less exciting. :/

I might be counting my chickens while simultaneously looking up good omelette recipes, but Luna's response to the Oracle post that "cleared" her and Long Con's defense of that notion could be a concocted plan.

This is a pretty good look for Marmot now that both LC and Luna have flipped town. He defended Luna, but set her up for a lynch in the event LC turned scum. A scum Marmot would know that LC is gonna flip town. He wasn't defending a teammate. Luna also flipped town. I feel like scum Marmot had no motive whatsoever to make this connection and observation so a +1 here.

he goes on to make some technicolor voting pattern lists up to day 3, which is helpful townie behavior and a lot of fucking effort, esp since I always forget to use the damn vote tags :p

Marmot wrote: Tue May 01, 2018 2:44 pm Alright, let's look at Scotty's interactions with Epignosis on Day 1.

Here is his actual vote for him. In this post, Scotty votes Epignosis because it's someone Scotty hasn't looked at yet, and Epignosis has only used the word If.

Here is where he points Epignosis to someone else using the word interesting. No suspicion here.

Here is where he explains your vote for Epignosis. His explanation is a play on Epignosis's play thus far. I'm not sold yet.

Here is where he invites Turnip Head to vote for him alongside him, in order to get Epignosis posting. At this point, Scotty's vote looks like it's prodding Epignosis for activity.

Here is where Scotty state his steadiness on voting Epignosis, and requests him to "do tricks".

Here is where Scotty questions what Epignosis thinks about the game thus far, a good question at the time really.

Here is where Scotty points out that sig was defending Epignosis. This post, leaves me at a bit of a loss, especially in hindsight where Scotty is talking about two confirmed civilians. Like, if Scotty would notice sig defending Epignosis, why does he not entertain the possibility that sig is mafia? I need to stew on this one.

Here is where Scotty summarizes speedchuck's contributions, these contributions including some condemnations of Epignosis.

Here is where Scotty laments that Epignosis is difficult to lynch. It's true. I could see this post coming from a civilian or a mafia mindset. A civilian who thinks they've caught scum, but can't lynch 'em, or a mafia member who thinks they can sneak a mislynch on a strong town-player, and is frustrated that it might not happen.

Here is where Scotty points out that Epignosis and Long Con are pushing the dunya/Dom scumslip. Pushes the Epignosis lynch again.

Addendum: There is one good question here. A lot of this is sort of null, and a couple things I don't like. My qualm with Scotty's vote is when he placed it and how it stayed there. Yes it's Day 1, but that's the reason I do take issue with it. It's a day to get a feel for everyone and feel things out. Scotty showed that sort of vigor, posting 84 times on Day 1.

Overall, I have a slight scumread as a result.

a newly opened case on Scotty (he actually forgot he'd already analyzed Scotty and Epi's posts before, and that doesn't strike me as a scum trying to frame someone...they'd be far more calculating) as a result of his vote analysis. (Scotty was my next ISO but I decided to do Marmot first...good choice for me cos I got to see a lot of Scotty's content this way lol). Marmot's reasoning and progression seemed genuine to me here too especially that he admits he forgot he'd already done this before. doesn't seem like an oopsie scum marmot would have made to contradict himself and open speculation on his cases as a result.

Marmot wrote: Wed May 02, 2018 9:27 pm I don't want to lynch Spacedaisy. She's provided some keen insight even if she hasn't posted much.

Buuuut, I don't want more of that keen insight, or my mind will likely change.

this is the post I don't think I have gotten a reply on yet and it pinged me. what was the keen insight Daisy had offered. It got even worse after that backhanded defence where in the post after it he suggests nova is bussing Daisy who is throwing herself under the bus. After Colin was lynched, I see absolutely no reason why another scum who has no heat on her would offer to do that? seemed like a really hollow and fake possibility.

the funny thing is he soon joins NOVA in suspecting daisy on her own, when most of the initial suspicion revolved around a nova/Daisy bussing scenario so this continuation of the nova suspicion just didn't make sense to me:

Spoiler: show
Marmot wrote: Thu May 03, 2018 10:15 am I also read some previous Spacedaisy games. Novaselinever made a good point.

In Mafia of Unfortunate Events Spacedaisy fell behind for real life issues, but made a concentrated effort when she was around, and gave a long explanation of why she wasn't around. She was civilian here.

In Fiddler on the Roof Mafia, Spacedaisy was her, and she did specificallyrequest to be lynched. This was in an Endgame scenario where Spacedaisy was the only mafia left, but the pressure on her had been building, and supatown Mac was already ready to lynch her.

This game aligns more with Spacedaisy from Fiddler on the Roof. The exception here is that the pressure wasn't there. Spacedaisy's response to nova was much less provoked. Nova only asked if she had caught up on the game thread, no one (that I recall) was pushing for Spacedaisy's lynch.

even more alarming to me is that he makes a rainbow with Spacedaisy and nova both in his bottom, red three, so giving nova any credence is really weird and I really don't like that whole episode. It's probably the worst thing Marmot has done and still hasn't answered me on the keen insight thing because most likely he doesn't have an answer to that.

Have you bothered reading mine?

Yes, I just don't remember everything.

I don't understand why you'd toss me in the IDGaF crowd. I don't see how what I've done this game would put me in that group.

Frankly, I'm appalled (not because the IDGaF group is a terrible place, that's not true, I just am not behaving that way).

this makes scotty seem really suspicious. after going through Marmot, labeling him under IDGaF is quite absurd--he's put in more effort than most people I've already ISO'd holy crap--and Marmot acting appalled seems genuine I guess.

There's a lot of good points for Marmot after reviewing his ISO, but really the whole nova/Daisy thing is just so sloppy and bad I really can't shake off the bad feelings that come from it. Hope Marmot comes in and addresses some of those points and where his head was at.

Only read some of the posts from yesterday's lynch, anyone want to summarize what happened that day? If you don't remember or it's not that memorable that's fine. Just thought I'd ask.

One thing I've determined is that Spacedaisy is now up to at least yellow after perusing her ISO. Her keen insight is really here this time.

This was a response to dunya's ISO.

I remember some of the things you've said this game. I just can't remember why exactly I made this post.
