You voted for MR first thing. You THEN began your freak out. I asked why MR, and you literally never responded.
Now, I understand self preservation.

I made this post when Mac entered day two, kind of before the frenzy on him started.

Any reason for the order here considering Nutella is present and Radishes is not?
This is Mac's only post mentioning Radishes.
He is voting Radish.

When he came in, it was 2 on Mac and 3 on Radish.

He voted to make it 4 on radish.

.... why? Just to protect himself? Why Radish? Colin was right there too.
He was definitely in contention, but wasn't a lead wagon.

I asked for why Radishes, and I never learned why.

Now, Rob, you want to sit there and say it's silly that I am saying what I'm saying. But it's true. Mac has been entirely grievance based. He is not afraid to lie to meet his grievances. I have spoken at length about Colin and Turnip Head in particular. I have not been only about Mac. Mac makes the thread about Mac because he believes his personality will save him. Sometimes he is right.

He also literally said that I must be excited to see him get lynched because I personally dislike him. Not only do I think this is just about as toxic as you can get when playing the game, but I think that Mac is just desperate to not get lynched and really does not care who goes down. He hasn't been hunting. He does not act-- he only reacts.
I'm not going to talk about your personal disliking of each other (as I understand it). Wait, is this whole post directed at me? Am I "Sir?"

I'm confused.

ISO on Ted in some random order:

(There's no specific post that I find particularly AI, so I won't quote anything, but...)

-He bounces his reads around a bit (claims his page 2 reads based on 'swag' are serious, but never comes back to it; suddenly drops a vote on Nutella and only gives a reason for it later; then switches to vote me, again without justification), but doesn't try to justify his progression. Maybe a bouncy scum, but I get the impression he just doesn't care how he comes across. Good look.

-His tone is consistent - loose and carefree and not afraid to be a bit fun, but easily switches back to serious gameplay when necessary. Another good look of someone who isn't worried about how they come across.

-He isn't trying to stand out or lead a charge or anything, but equally isn't afraid to engage in discussions, even ones that don't involve him. No waffling on reads, just straight to the point. Also something I consider a good look.

Overall, ISOing Ted has made me nudge him from null+ to a lightish green. Macro play is decent so far, in the sense he doesn't seem concerned about his image.

Not great. I get the feeling that his presence is a bit flashy/comes across as performative. It's something I've seen with experienced players that they want to be a bit edgy/go against the grain give the impression that they are confident and have nothing to hide when they are scum. Compensating. Like when they asked "are we all seriously reading into ice cream flavors" (<-- from memory, might not be exact) or something like that. I don't know if I explain this right, but "performative" is what comes to mind and it feels not great.
I get what you mean about this completely; you're just misinterpreting where the 'performative' bit (maybe not the right word - more like adopting a persona?) comes from. I'm playing in a game with a bunch of people I don't know but who know each other, but have the confidence to 'go against the grain' as you say, as this isn't my first rodeo. I'm not consciously adopting a persona (okay, that was also the wrong phrase) but, yeah, my internet/mafia style tends towards dismissive and sarcastic in the early stages of games, especially on sites I'm not familiar with.

I singled this post out as well, though, because the thought process to me seems good. It's easy for scum looking to slip onto a wagon to pile on me today (I'm the third, less noticed wheel) but this isn't the way a scum would do it. This is an actual attempt to parse my behaviour.

I'm hesitant to declare anyone a green read in a multiball game where I don't know anyone's meta, but so far Dizzy (you gave permission!) is nudging upwards the most in my books with this thought process and general solid enough play.
Dyslexicon is not a teammate of Radishes'.

Your posts sound like they could have been written by a baddie. E.g. over-explaining thoughts, suggesting what scum are going to try to do as a result of mechanics x, trying to list nearly everyone (even those that haven't checked in)...all traits I see scum do/do myself when scum.

Because Jay's town and we're not about to lynch him in the last half hour of the day with several viable options on the board.

Why is your preference Radishes over Mac?
It's not really. I've been on Radishes for a while because I like to keep the poll close during the day. I'm okay with either of them. I guess I do feel a little bit more strongly about Radishes, but that's probably just because I've been on him from the beginning and have not shaken that suspicion. It's a more entrenched case for me. With Mac I just feel icky about one post he made. Other people have had a lot more to say about him.
I'm also open to G-man.

Would be my guess anyways
I really really really really dislike his flip flop on how he read me and Nutella. He declared me a wolf and Nutella one we should follow after the two of us started battling. Then like 12 hours later, I was town and Nutella was scum because I read her perfectly.

His argument for Nutella being scum exists in its entirety at the time he expressed a strong townread on her. His read change does not come from a town perspective. It comes from a scum perspective mimicking townplay, ie trusting Jack's Nutella read.
Why would baddie Mac express a strong townread on nutella and then flip flop just as soon? Why would a bad guy do that? It's a townie maneuever, just like your exact opposite flip flop was (I assume) townie.
Cause he forgot about his townread on her cause it was fake. Or cause Nutella was suddenly more appealing as a lynch considering she was counterwagon to his buddy Radish (which would be convenient considering our top wagons) than she was when I was the only player voting for her.

My progression is out there for everyone to see. Mac's progression doesn't exist on the thread.

I don't feel like his did. You can change the last syllable of the refrain to anything in order to make the next line rhyme.

Which is frustrating because G-Man hasn't said all that much.

The first song says to lynch Dyslexicon.
The second song backpedals (?) on Dyslexicon.
The third song has him self-quoting saying he'll do his thing, mentioning that he was being a brat toward JJJ, and lamenting there being two teams.
The fourth song might be his most meaningful one. He named JJJ a suspect, you, and said he didn't trust Dom and S~V~S (so is this song about a salad? )
The fifth song calls you bad again.

The gimmick doesn't bother me. The fact that he gave himself an easy one but has provided very little in the way of substance does.

I never thought you were cursed, but when the assumption went around, you didn't correct it earlier, did you?

Self imposed posting restrictions are a great way for a baddie to hide out, and your content is slim. I will be here on and off all day, give me some of those sweet accountant analyses, G Man.

I want you to make me believe you, you know I do.
Self-imposed restrictions are a good way to hide IF the player is hiding behind the restriction. Do we think that G-man is doing that here?

I also acknowledge that you made a post about Mac’s Day 1. I will take a closer look at that soon.
I think that people who serially post in self imposed restrictions as G Man often does are playing a long game to some extent. When you hide behind it as a baddie, people can just say, "Oh he always does that" like you are doing now. It's a form of saving for a rainy day as well as a fun thing to do, IMO. It annoys the living daylights out of me, and I always find it suspicions. Especially since, in this case, he is always talking about how pressed for time he is, yet he still chooses to post in Oompa Loompa?
I remember a stretch of doing the gimmick thing for a while. Good times. XD

It was too opportunistic and I do not trust.

I'm not really one who generally believes/trusts when people make self meta reads but if you've seen my GoC play, or really the vast majority of my mafia play, before (and I have been mafia in multiple), I can't see how you look at this game and think you're seeing the mafia version of Mac.

I'm not saying that I'm playing well or anything, quite the contrary, but mislynching me today would be a poor result. We should lynch someone who sucks more at Mafia ergo if they are mislynched would be no loss. Someone like Jay, Epi, or Sloonei.

Hi Epignosis

Considering the number of times you've told me over the years that something I've posted is the [weakest ______ you've ever seen from me], I must have a talent for lowering the bar. :goofp:

I suspect speedchuck, and those are reasons why I suspect speedchuck. The end. Regarding the last thing: I don't give a damn about "open-minded". That's an accusation. He made one move that I thought could bear the potential to be productive, and he neutered that move himself. I don't like that.

Why else do you hate all that so much?
That particular post I quoted reeked of insincerity at the time. However, you have a post history that suggests otherwise regarding your treatment of speedchuck (I see multiple instances of you trying to engage speedchuck / vote for speedchuck / get other people to talk about speedchuck).

Your vote isn't on him right now, so let me ask you this: What makes Master Radishes a better Day 2 lynch than speedchuck?

Like she’s hitting her scumtell a and her towntells.
This seems to be the epicenter of the Jacktella quake. I am brought to wonder:

How do we (we who know nutella) anticipate her to respond to a post like this, where is she is told she is playing to her norms in both alignments? This is an accusation from Jack after all, even if "softened" by the town half of the presentation. I'm not surprised nutella called it garbage, or that she wondered aloud if a mafioso Jack would be so obvious as to openly hedge in this manner.
Is that where it started? Did he push any harder?

Because I'd be surprised to see nutella offended by this cushy push. More like 'meh' and 'jack do you even have an opinion'

I find this assertion hard to believe: nutella is a firecracker is responds severely to accusations of all sorts all the time. This contributes in some vague manner to the negative nutella climate, and I'm not on board.

I think the Jack/Nutella thing was interesting, primarily because of reactions to it. Tedxtr's reaction was notable, like he was incredibly pro-nutella and focused on nutella. Dunno if that's changed.

@tedxtr do you know nutella prior to this?

Also not a fan of Mac’s play on this – inconsistent and never landed on the wagon or, conversely, showed progression away from it. Just blew on the sparks a bit.
I dunno, I was suspicious of Sig for a reason I think. Let me look back.

Ah, yes, it was his crappity crap reasons for still wanting to lynch nutella after Jack recanted. He overcompenisated for his position by throwing a bunch of bad reasons in with the good.
1. Reason wasnt crappy
2. Was laying out my thought process.

It would be imo so much worse to instantly switch off since Jack changed his mind, especially since I didnt base my vote solely off his read and two she wasn't a civ?

Not to mention I stated a few times she wasnt my top lynch which Is why I switched off once things evened our a bit.
Some of your reasons were crappy. And you had some perfectly good reasons. Overcompensating to justify staying on nutella. Meh. Minor sus.

One thing I liked more from speedchuck was his dig into sig's takes on Jacktella. In the end though we get the highlighted bit to neuter its seriousness and for my money its credit.

tedxtr wrote: Fri Feb 28, 2020 2:40 pm The reason you're on the lower end is because I remember your early start that was aesthetically pleasing. I saw you had good , well-timed questions but I am sort of reluctant to town read you fully because, other than that, I honestly don't remember anything else you've done. I just remember you being there and kind of skimming your posts. I'm wanting to see some sort of aggressive push from you or something.

Dys I had tons of mindmelds with. At first I thought the way they came in the thread saying "Watch me do nothing this game, what are you gonna do about it" kind of attitude and then giving that read on Michelle felt sort of contradictory, emotionally speaking. As in, you imply you don't give a crap, but you post a shallow read on Michelle, like you felt forced to do it. I also thought it was too early of a town read, even for Michelle, which I also have tons of meta with. Otherwise, their recent content has been good and we mindmelded ever since that initial scum lean.

TSP's a read that's like broadly applied to my mental map of how town!lurkers approach a game as opposed to scum!lurkers. There's no scum agenda behind his posting, and with scum lurkers, the usual mentality is "ah I gotta post something good to make up for my absence" and that usually turns into awkward reads on people and shit. The reason he's that low is because I didn't like his early Jay read joke thing which read as awkward and I want to look for some form of thought process that I can easily follow through and get rid of this paranoia for his slot. It's this low because it's a general approach to reading lurkers and I need some more context to be more confident in it.
Time out.

There are twenty-three names you could have chosen. You picked six. Sloonei was one. You're telling me that Sloonei makes your top six based on his "early start" being "aesthetically pleasing?" What the hell does that mean? Were his posts color coordinated?

You "honestly don't remember anything else" he's done, and yet he makes your top six?

You're still waiting for "some sort of aggressive push" but he's in top six.

Get out of here with that.
