Either way, at least my death got us the PI. As soon as we knew the PI knew my identity, we just watched for someone coming after me in the thread. Once we determined it was Llama (after a cross-reference with his eloquent and interesting PM communications to the police confirming it was him), we had to recruit or kill him. Luckily for him, he was recruitable. :D
For the record, from the awesome in-theme noir PMs we were getting, I was pretty sure llama was the PI. However, I wasn't confident enough to push to kill or recruit him because of it.
Yeah, I regret that they became less elaborate as I became more busy and the poll time changed to a less convenient one.Just before I was recruited I sent you a report on myself, hoping to throw you off the scent, but I had too successfully outed myself in going after Long Con for that to work
I wish I had thought about all the police being recruited before I alerted you to his traitorous ways, or I could have kept you in the dark longer, but I guess it worked out for me in the end.

llama, this is why i voted Kyle. We had you figured out as the PI, and voted with you on LC so even though there wasn't great evidence for Kyle I thought for sure you had checked him and he was bad. That was probably after you got recruited. After kyle didn't pan out I thought you maybe weren't the PI.
Yeah, I got recruited right after the Long Con kill, which was great for my credibility. :D

Re: [NIGHT 9] Fight Club Mafia

I'll vote for you if you want, MR.

I have to say, I am pretty disgruntled about how this game has gone. I really feel like all the modkills in a game when Tyler gets to choose his team have been horribly unfair. Of course the inactive players are going to be civvies, since Tyler would not choose to recruit them.

This means you have a host who has intentionally killed off more than a dozen civvies and, in my opinion, has handed the game to the baddies. I don't think we ever had a chance to begin with, and if you ask me, it's a BS way to host. Hosts should be impartial, and not make decisions that inherently favor one group over another.

I was really hoping for a win this game, too. :(

Re: [DAY 9] Fight Club Mafia

Llama, made cocky by his instincts on Long Con being so devastatingly correct, has returned to an earlier suspicion. I've been doing some reading, and one thing keeps sticking out to me. Here are all the posts of Kylemii talking about fighting.

Beginning in New Castle on Day 1
Kylemii wrote: i don't particularly want to fight anyone, i'd be okay with voting DH since he volunteered
Then, no mention of fighting until Wilmington on Day 4:
Kylemii wrote:everyone seems so down to fight. there must be something to it.

i'll fight anyone.
Quite a difference. Then we all came here, and Kyle appeared to become suddenly quite eager.
Kylemii wrote: I didn't fight either. i was worried about the risk until day 4 or so when i was just like "yeah whatever"
Kylemii wrote:holy shit :0

rest in peace everyone

i'd be okay with fighting
Kylemii wrote: i would be okay with fighting especially if it were against another fighting novice.
Kylemii wrote: I would still like to fight at some point in case fighting skill level ends up being important down the road but I'm not really in a hurry.
In each case, he tries to sound casual, but the number of posts seems to indicate almost a desperation for fighting. I asked him about this, and this was his response.
Kylemii wrote: i only wanna fight because i'm weak and i'm worried that fight skill may somehow end up being important in the endgame. i was worried about dying in a fight early on but now i've realized that the risk of dying early may be a fair trade-off for possibly not getting screwed in the endgame if i somehow end up living that long. Does that make sense?
Now, I may be wrong, but I smell a rat here. I think Kyle might be Tyler, who I suspect is quite powerful in fights. My theory is that he didn't want to fight early for fear of tipping his hand, but once he had a few recruits and the game was starting to go his way, he wanted to fight in order to accelerate his killing. The other possibility is that he knows something about the endgame that we don't, which would explain his last two posts on the subject.

It's also worth noting theat he studiously avoided voting for Long Con and he has been quite strong about pursuing Bullzeye, whom I trust more than just about anyone else.

birdwithteeth11 wrote:As to Timmer's ideas about Bullz and Keterman...

Not sure about Bullz honestly. I'll have to think on that one. I think your idea about Keterman throwing himself under the bus is a possibility. Either it's that or he is an unrecruited policeman who was unaware of LC being recruited. However, given what happened with INH, I think it's far more likely that any police that are still alive are recruits to Tyler's cause.

Of course, I also wonder if there's any way to look back via Keterman's posts and see if we can't ferret out who Tyler could possibly be.
I almost feel like Keterman's defense of LC was too over the top to have come from a teammate. Why would a teammate make such bold outrageous claims when it was already obvious thta LC would be lynched and flip baddie? What would he have to gaiin by doing that? If it is the throwing himself under the bus strategy to draw attention away from Tyler, that must mean we were already close on Tyler's heels, right? But I can't think of anyone we were close to catching before LC< since we were all casting about in the dark.

Oh, I agree with most of that. I want to look at other people besides Daisy, and I understand how RL goes, but I think the fact that every person modkilled was a civilian speaks volumes about the kind of active, close-knit team the baddies have assembled.

Honestly, it feels a little unbalanced in favor of the baddies to slaughter all inactive players when Tyler gets to choose his entire team, since obviously he is not going to choose inactive players. But I understand the frustration of dealing with non-participants as a host too, so

True, but it tells me a heck of a lot about Keterman now.

Also, llama, do you feel any different about your theory now? Or are your thoughts still the same?
My thoughts are still the same, and I think the wave of civilian death confirms my views and the important distinction between "quiet players" and "people not attracting suspicion."

The recruits with BTSC made sure to show up and post. Spacedaisy is an obvious example. She had barely posted at all,her head was on the chopping block, but she made it in to meet the challenge just in time. Could she have been motivated by her BTSC partners telling her to post? I think so.

The only thing that weakens my theory is that we now know at least one of the police was recruited, which means that Tyler would be likely to get the rest as quickly as possible, regardless of their posting style.

I specifically called Time Warner and was under the impression that they would be servicing me on Monday, but then I never received an appointment time like they said I would, so I called again to find out they hadn't scheduled me after all like they said they would, so it would be Wednesday. Not only that, but the service window would be 8AM-11PM and that I needed to be here for the guy to stop by. What a window. Well, no one ever stopped by. I called them and the automated message receiver said they DID in fact stop by, so I spoke to a rep who then told me that because I'm going with a lower connection that someone did stop by but didn't need to do anything then 'flip a switch' outside of my vicinity and that I did not in fact need to be here for it. Wow. But it clearly still wasn't working. So I tried the modem I'm renting from them in multiple outlets. Still nothing. So I had to wait until the store opened this morning so the router could be exchanged, and NOW I have internet.

So, I need to go through all my PMs, catch up on the thread here and calculate who has completed (or not) the posting challenge, then compile my post and give it to you guys. Seems we will still be on a morning schedule, for now; just in the interest of getting the game moving again, I do not want to wait until evening or extend this night period. Post coming ASAP. Apologies again for the delay, clearly I did not anticipate that my 72 hour window would not be enough, but I overestimated Time Warner.
You're the greatest, Alex! Glad the worst of the move is over.

Well, he logged onto the site early this afternoon, so that is a blatant lie. :)

Don't make excuses for him. :P
I could text him that if you really want him to hurry up. :P
I would insist upon it, but I'm about to go bowling and I probably wouldn't see the post until later anyway.
