OK, something that I have never been full clear about, but I assumed because no one else was talking about it. I want to know for sure I have this right.

There are classes, there are backstories, there are countries, and there are alignments. Together, these four things make your role. Is that apt?

Everyone's classes are public, and it's not all that debatable who is what.

Backstories are secondary secret role conditions. Some grant an extra power, others alter the player's interaction with the game slightly (I'm option B). Anyone can make up any backstory they like. Backstories can be identical, but not to people of the same class.

Countries. Not everyone knows their country. All baddies are from Badguyia, but not all from Badguyia are bad. This information does not coordinate in any game-meaningful way with the first post factions, because then we'd be Civ-clearing all the green ones and lynching sig, lapluie, and gwil.

Alignment is what matters most, and there are two.

I always go through every Mafia game in despair, so this kind of thing bounces right off me.

I don't care who claimed what. I recall a few people claimed stuff regarding their votes counting or not counting depending on this or that. That is enough for me to believe that, in a game this size, given that they probably aren't lying, other people have vote manipulations one way or the other, and that, given the nature of this setup, mafia have some action in that regard as well.

Long Con saying that "facts are what counts." Sheesh, maybe you have gone soft.

I'll settle for hearsay. Does anyone else recall players talking about their hidden vote manipulations? I don't, but I did skip a couple of pages here and there.

I guess I can only accurately read Quin when I'm an indy.

But if you want to look at games where Quin underwent a lot of suspicion and I defended him, those are the two to go to.

Looking back, and wow, my play in Phenon was really good. Feel like I've gone downhill as a player lol.
