Return to “Ancient Greece Mafia [CONQUEST]”

How the fuck does that have anything to do with whether I'm bad or not golden? I'm not, by the way so are you going to look at them still?Golden wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 6:03 pm If LC is bad I intend to have a strong look at TH and Jack for their 'IDGAF' approach. I'm not sure why Dunya wants to join them. They absolutely do get lynched - something like Syndicate mafia is an example of where they derail the entire game when civ.
Give a fuck 2018.
This is so incredibly ugly that I can scarcely believe you wrote it. It was 100% proven that there was no slip.Marmot wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 5:29 pmI was recollecting a couple of baddie games from you: Downton Mafia, the recent Game of Champions. Just a side thought, you scumslipped in both of those games, and were lynched for it (along with other reasons). There's potential reason to believe that you slipped in this game too.Long Con wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 5:26 pmNever in a thousand arcs of Helios would I have foreseen this tragedy... It's kind of funny, I was thinking of coming in here and letting everyone in on my funny circumstance where I hope you get lynched and I hope you are Civ. Just because, if you are lynched, and you are bad, then that will just look really bad on me.Lunalee wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 5:10 pmThat is an interesting observation. If I go out today, I sincerely hope you guys will follow through with the Long Con lynch tomorrow. The dude is sketchy.
Lunalee, dunya, Choutasspeedchuck wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 4:13 pm @Long Con If you had complete control of the lynch, what 3 candidates would you consider?
I clearly do not have enough experience to correctly wield this metaphor.
Funny story, I was voice-to-texting this and BR came up behind me and surprised me as I pressed Submit... hence the "hey baby" tacked on at the end there.
Just going through Long Con's ISO, and found this from back then. Is dunya still on vacation?Long Con wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 10:05 amNoted, but that's kind of a dangerous reason to keep a suspect alive.MacDougall wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 9:50 am Despite me also sharing suspicion of her I wouldn't want to lynch Dunya this early unless the case was very good and we were devoid of better options because of the obvious 'she is a big town loss if mislynched'. Particularly in a game with this cast.
She has a lot of content to produce town or mafia. She won't get any harder to lynch unless she wins cred by helping us lynch her teammates. I say she is worthy of giving the benefit of the doubt more often than not. Last time she rolled scum she replaced out too. She doesn't worry me too badly as Mafia but losing her town skill does worry me. Her town skill is not a myth. It is legitimate and worthy of consideration.
It's waning.
Absolutely. Very easy to accuse and suspect. Always. You're a low hanging fruit!?Long Con wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 1:42 am You don't like my playstyle. I get it. It's not my baddie playstyle, it's just my playstyle. I really don't know how to make you see that, you want it to be true that I'm bad, so you're going to convince yourself it's true.
That's me treating you as a Civ. If you're bad, then keep going at it, I'm always a low-hanging fruit.
Sloonei did some Colin-Choutas cross-referencing, and I thought Choutas came out of that looking like a likely teammate.
Good thinking... I'm going out grocery shopping right now, but I'll try to remember to check out Luna's views later. Shouldn't take too long. I recall one view being her suspicion of me, and I would expect my name to show up. Actually, I think she has flip-flopped on me. Either way, A Luna Oracle would probably include my name.
Golden wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 3:09 pmThe rules very expressly prohibit any kind of role-hinting so now that you point it out I think the opposite is true.
That's not a claim or a hint though, that's an innocent comment. Or is it...?Lunalee wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 7:25 pmI can't believe my luck, guys. I was literally just town confirmed by an oracle.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 6:10 pmChoutas is clouding his eyes with a focus on principles onlySpoiler: show
Dougall looks great and he should be a beacon for rational thinkers
Listen to words from the gods who say Golden and Empee are townies
Speedchuck is trustworthy, Luna and Kyle we can safely rely on
Persians amongst us, but sloonei was lynched and we cheered to the heavens
When I realized that the Oracle was something written by a player, I thought Luna's comment after it might indicate that she is the Oracle role.
I'm sure the LC-Colin ISO will be interesting. I remember I chose to defend him when a group was coming after him. I also questioned the Sloonei voters when Colin and you were the leading candidates, but I did also make a push for lynching you based on your hypothetical Indy choice to join the Persians. I'm hoping that part will end up looking good, and not damning. Also interested to see what Colin has said about me.
I don't understand this
It's funny, that's the impression I came away with, but when I went back to demonstrate why, I felt like it was a little lacking. Let's hear your thoughts.and I was looking forward to your thoughts there.
Of everything you have said so far, Colin’s approach to nova stands out the most to me.
NOVA
That is very kind to say. I get the impression that hard work, skilled play, and experienced analysis are what the people value and love, and thus the heroes of the day are always Golden, Sloonei, JJJ, and others (I'll stop listing names early because the more people I leave out, the better). That kind of stuff makes it nearly impossible to lynch you guys. I'm easy to lynch; all I usually have are spur-of-the-moment pleas, shined up as nice as I can make them.Golden wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 1:57 amI can tell.
Just a minute ago you were certain your playstyle was unreadable and the same good or bad and this is just 'how you play', now you don't even know what it is (by the way, I think the latter take is more correct).Long Con wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 1:50 amI have no idea why you'd say that. I don't even know what my playstyle is, so how is it your favourite? The only favourite thing I have ever felt my playstyle inspired was a favourite mislynch target, because I play it loose, I don't have an eidetic memory, I jump to conclusions based on very little, and I only truly engage when I'm talking about me. My playstyle sucks.
Your posts are fun to read, basically always. God knows mine aren't. I'd choose you to sign up and play with me every time.
This is good. I feel like we're in uncharted territory here. Dom's been fist-pumping over comparisons to the GOC game where I was bad, so don't tell me that I'm the only one talking playstyle. And I don't think that playstyle and content are separate entities at all, so your attempt to put them in different boxes doesn't lead to a realistic assessment. You are literally telling us that you're ignoring half the story.
Actually putting them in separate boxes does lead to a realistic story. The more boxes the better. Imagine something like this:
I'm looking for the things that are different, not the things that are the same, depending on whether you're bad or good.
I'm not so analytical as to actually be able to split things up into those boxes, but I do look for people to 'look civ' on all points.

You need some discrediting. It would increase the chances of a Civ win. Accuracy is actually secondary.
What, I get a shipping name with Golden after a few posts? Where's my Epi ship?Turnip Head wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 1:20 am @Golden @Long Con Conlden stop fighting and help me lynch somebody please![]()
Yeah, I was a big Colin defender. It's funny, when I knew he was going to be lynched, I was like... if he turns up Civ I'll look bad like I *knew* he was Civ, and if he's bad then I'll look bad like I was a teammate defending him. Why don't you do some of your famous research and find out how much I defend my teammates when bad.Golden wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 1:15 am People should read Long Con's iso.
He doesn't like the Colin push, he's on Epi for a Sloonei vote, his interactions with sloonei are worth a close look generally actually.
He just dismisses the sig and epi suspicion with a wave of his hand and stays out of it.
And in particular his 'straw man' attack on MP reads very strongly like a Colin defence at this point.![]()
Don't tell me what I know. I don't remember what happened in past Mafia games.
