I was recollecting a couple of baddie games from you: Downton Mafia, the recent Game of Champions. Just a side thought, you scumslipped in both of those games, and were lynched for it (along with other reasons). There's potential reason to believe that you slipped in this game too. :ponder:

That is an interesting observation. If I go out today, I sincerely hope you guys will follow through with the Long Con lynch tomorrow. The dude is sketchy.

She has a lot of content to produce town or mafia. She won't get any harder to lynch unless she wins cred by helping us lynch her teammates. I say she is worthy of giving the benefit of the doubt more often than not. Last time she rolled scum she replaced out too. She doesn't worry me too badly as Mafia but losing her town skill does worry me. Her town skill is not a myth. It is legitimate and worthy of consideration.

Instead of quoting, the viewer can follow along by pressing Ctrl-F for "nova" and I'll reference by numerals.

The first 2 nova mentions are in the poll.

3: Colin pooh-poohs the nova vote, and justifies it by talking about sig for the rest of the post.

6: Actually nova's suspicion of Colin looks pretty good. Could be distancing, but on reread, it's pretty buslike if they're team, ates.

8: "Townish", noncommittal and :ponder: like you said.

An indirect mention of colin as part of a question for MP. Doesn't tell me much.

1.

"No intel, need more data" on Colin. She suspects me based on my Day 1 vote for Colin, but has nothing to say about Mr. IsCool himself. @dunya I'd like to know if your opinion of me has changed in light of Colin's flip.

I have broken the Colin and Sloonei tie. I had day 1 concerns about Sloonei and his ColinIsCool vote. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if it was early distancing masked as a pressure vote on day 1 after everyone questioned him about it.

I have more thoughts about Sloonei I'll share before eod. But for now, I have a bigger scum read on sloonei than Colin.

I have some questions for some Colin votes I'll ask later too.

Alright here's something. Colin was well on his way to being lynched at this point, I think, or at least he and I were neck and neck.

3.
dunya wrote: Fri Apr 27, 2018 4:31 pm @ColinIsCool - moving my vote to Colin. Sorry I couldn't have been here when the drama was happening, but I'm comfortable with Colin being lynched today.
Switches her vote to Colin shortly before the deadline. I was not here at the time so I don't know what exactly the poll looked like. And that's the end of it.

This was a surprisingly light load of content. It is perhaps understandable given that dunya has been traveling since the end of day 1 and colin was not a big topic of discussion at that point, but that does not necessarily make this a good look for dunya. There is nothing in here that makes a partnership impossible to imagine, but nothing to strongly indicate one either. I would like it if dunya could explain what her thoughts were on the Colin vs. Sloonei argument yesterday and why she initially voted for me and then changed it later on.

1. Mention of Colin with no read at all, grouped with a bunch of others in the same category. A predictable place for a teammate to put a teammate... no early defense, which looks bad later, and no bussing because it's too early for that.

2. Day 2, Colin was well under fire, and dunya comes in with a Colin criticism that's very heavy with Sloonei implications. "I wouldn't be surprised if it was early distancing masked as a pressure vote" sounds just like the way a baddie might set up a way to capitalize on a teammate's crash and burn. After, she had a vote on Colin, and a ready-made push on Sloonei.

Also, in that same post, dunya says "I have some questions for some Colin votes I'll ask later too." If your recap isn't missing a pretty important post, then she never did that. That could indicate that these "questions" would have been all for show, and not really to do her own detective work on Colin.

3. Late day vote for Colin when he was already going down.

Also, I've suspected dunya for days. I'd love a dunya vote.

Your posts are fun to read, basically always. God knows mine aren't. I'd choose you to sign up and play with me every time.
That is very kind to say. I get the impression that hard work, skilled play, and experienced analysis are what the people value and love, and thus the heroes of the day are always Golden, Sloonei, JJJ, and others (I'll stop listing names early because the more people I leave out, the better). That kind of stuff makes it nearly impossible to lynch you guys. I'm easy to lynch; all I usually have are spur-of-the-moment pleas, shined up as nice as I can make them.

I don't think I contradicted myself: my playstyle is unreadable - and the same good or bad - because I don't even know what it is. Because I just play what I see and play what I think. I don't even know what I'm going to do next most of the time... something suspicious catches my eye and I'm, like, "Gotcha!" The truth probably is that I'm the worst one to discuss my own playstyle or meta... I'm the only one that can't see the colour of my own eyes. I'm in me, hard to see me from here.

Long Con wrote: Sun Apr 29, 2018 1:42 am You don't like my playstyle. I get it. It's not my baddie playstyle, it's just my playstyle. I really don't know how to make you see that, you want it to be true that I'm bad, so you're going to convince yourself it's true.
This is where we're at.

I said tone is NAI. That's playstyle.

LC wants this to be about playstyle. He has all along. I'm asking people to ignore playstyle and look at content. And that's what I'll continue to ask.
Don't put that all on me. Dom's been fist-pumping over comparisons to the GOC game where I was bad, so don't tell me that I'm the only one talking playstyle. And I don't think that playstyle and content are separate entities at all, so your attempt to put them in different boxes doesn't lead to a realistic assessment. You are literally telling us that you're ignoring half the story.
And I have said you would have completely fooled me in GoC and completely disagree with Dom that the two games 'look' alike. I'm not dom.

Actually putting them in separate boxes does lead to a realistic story. The more boxes the better. Imagine something like this:

Image

I'm looking for the things that are different, not the things that are the same, depending on whether you're bad or good.

I'm not so analytical as to actually be able to split things up into those boxes, but I do look for people to 'look civ' on all points.
This is good. I feel like we're in uncharted territory here. Er...

Re: Ancient Greece Mafia [Day 3]

I'd like to see a game where an Oracle-type role is listed in the Civs but is secretly bad... see how many people rely on the Oracle's wise words. Not saying that's happening here, I just think it would be a fun exercise.

Golden wrote: Sun Apr 29, 2018 1:47 am Your playstyle is pretty much my favourite there is. That you reduce it to that is galling.
I have no idea why you'd say that. I don't even know what my playstyle is, so how is it your favourite? The only favourite thing I have ever felt my playstyle inspired was a favourite mislynch target, because I play it loose, I don't have an eidetic memory, I jump to conclusions based on very little, and I only truly engage when I'm talking about me. My playstyle sucks.

That's me treating you as a Civ. If you're bad, then keep going at it, I'm always a low-hanging fruit.

His ass-talking was discrediting.
You need some discrediting. It would increase the chances of a Civ win. Accuracy is actually secondary.

Tell that to past Long Con:

Golden wrote: Sun Apr 29, 2018 1:15 am People should read Long Con's iso.

He doesn't like the Colin push, he's on Epi for a Sloonei vote, his interactions with sloonei are worth a close look generally actually.

He just dismisses the sig and epi suspicion with a wave of his hand and stays out of it.

And in particular his 'straw man' attack on MP reads very strongly like a Colin defence at this point. Image
Yeah, I was a big Colin defender. It's funny, when I knew he was going to be lynched, I was like... if he turns up Civ I'll look bad like I *knew* he was Civ, and if he's bad then I'll look bad like I was a teammate defending him. Why don't you do some of your famous research and find out how much I defend my teammates when bad.
