Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [ENDGAME]
That was a hint to LC that I had received the bottle from him, and that DP and I were Celestials.Metalmarsh89 wrote:At the time, I thought I was the only person who knew that the bottle held an Oriental drug. And when TH spoke up and said he had it (when Epignosis should have had it), I was surprised he would be so blatant about it. Why did you say that anyway, TH?fingersplints wrote:people keep suggesting in threads which items might be celestial but we knew what we needed the whole time. We had gotten most of them in the start poll, and then we robbed BR (I think?) night 1 to get another.Metalmarsh89 wrote:By the way, your welcome TH (and SVS) for stating in thread what my item was and that it was Oriental.
Though it seems you may have figured it out anyway with the book.

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [ENDGAME]
And the Celestials were divided over Zomba. I felt SVS got a bad rap for what she said in the thread after reading the will, she was still suspicious of Zomba but was defending her from BF's wrongful accusation, but no one really saw it like that. I was the one who pointed out in celestial chat that the will didn't expressly say the owner of it was wealthy, so it didn't sound like it implied a specific role for Zomba at all. So I thought BF had read way too much into the will's contents. And he had, even though he turned out to be right :P
So SVS pointed out in the thread what the will really said, but she was actually still suspicious of Zomba's reaction to it. It was Golden and I who thought Zomba could still be civ based on her reaction. Since I disagreed with BF's interpretation of the will, I felt inclined to trust Zomba a bit more.

Dom, splints didn't have the safe because she gave it to me
BR didn't get the safe until I died. In fact, Golden, DP and splintsy ALL were able to successfully die holding none of our oriental treasures or other items until the baddies whacked me. We played an intense game of hot potato and it worked right up until the end.

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [ENDGAME]
Yeah Epi but you guys took out more Celestials than baddies that had been lynched at the time. Forward-thinking baddies would have prioritized their kills
We were being obvious, but that was the point. You could have avoided us and taken out more useful targets, and only killed Celestials if you needed to.

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [ENDGAME]
Yeah... you guys should have let us stick around, I think that's where you went wrong. The Celestials were basically wrong about everything at the start of the game. Killing one or two of us was prudent, but exterminating us was pretty cheesy and unnecessary imo. We thought it was obvious that we were willing to work with you guys, but I guess you didn't feel the same way
And not sure if you saw the numbers, but we were one more civvie lynch away from a shared Celestial/baddies victory if you guys had NKed a civilian instead of me. SVS had two extra votes, we could have overwhelmed the civs :P
That said I think all the Celestials had a great time this game. We were upset to lose but it was truly fun all the way to the end. We just couldn't figure out why it seemed like the baddies were willingly targeting us when their first concern should have been taking out civilians.

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 8]
While I agree that Canuck's behavior hasn't been entirely productive as of late BWT, I'm not sure it makes her a baddie either. She already clarified why she reached out to SVS re: her vote, why would she "suck up" so blatantly as a baddie? Re: her Vomps vote, it seems to be a throwaway after SVS rebuffed Canuck's offer to control her vote and Canuck couldn't spend any more time on the thread. Like I said, I don't agree with Canuck's recent actions, but it's freaking Day 8, surely she could come up with a better baddie ploy at this point? I'm thinking her actions are genuine.
In comparison, your case against Canuck feels like you're the one taking the easy way out today BWT. I think it's not that difficult to paint Canuck's actions in a bad light today, and you wasted no time doing so and voting accordingly.
linki: Hmmm, Bullz agreees with BWT.

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 8]
I just got out of work. My list looks pretty similar to yours juliets. I'd say BWT and Bullz are my two suspects at the moment. Canuck's vote for Vomp and wanting to follow SVS's vote was weird but I'm not sure it's a baddie ploy... but at the same time, if Canuck is only useful as a civ number, then why is she throwing her vote away? Puzzling. I'm leaning civ on DF for now, I agree with BR that his reaction seemed genuine. Vomps is an enigma but I'm starting to get the feeling he keeps voting for me just so he doesn't have to talk about anything elsejuliets wrote:TH, where are you and what are you thinking?

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 8]
That would have immediately rang false though. You have defended Vomp through most of the game. A sudden vote for him would look pretty suspicious.Bullzeye wrote:Voting Vomp would've been the better way to protect one of my teammates. When I want to save someone, I save them properly.rabbit8 wrote:Zomba was getting lynched. You knew this. You can look like a dumb civvie and distance yourself from Epi at the same time. Then when you try to help Epi out later it does not look so bad.
Still processing the rest of your defense. I did like your analysis of all the remaining players, Bullz. Outside of the case against you, I'm looking at BWT the most. He's got the blendy, mistake-free gameplan down pat. He hasn't really brought many of his own ideas to the table; most of his contributions are echos. Although he and Dom are the only ones currently still pursuing SVS, which again, I'm not sure that would be a savvy baddie move to make at this point in time.

And welcome back DF, you got some 'splainin' to do!
Bullzeye, I have been leaning civ for Dom recently simply because he hasn't picked up on SVS's hints. I feel like that's something the baddies wouldn't be able to miss. But idk, maybe I'm reading the situation the wrong way
Dom seems like he has tunnel vision which I usually associate with civvieness. I'm not really sure where to look atm though. Dom, if you're wrong about me and SVS, where else would you look then?

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 7]
I've reread early-game Canuck, and this is the only post that sticks out to me atm:
That's not to say that Canuck hasn't made her opinions clearly known... I think that she has. She just doesn't seem as involved as I might expect her to be by now.
Canuck said she would get more talkative as the game went on, but the opposite has actually been true. In my estimation, Canuck had more posts and meatier posts during the first half of the game, and she has gradually dropped off since then. She posted four times on Day 5 and only once on Day 6.Canucklehead wrote:Sorry for not being around, my participation will increase as the game goes on and once RR is done...but you know me.
