Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Day 5: Timelapse Painting
I read it and I thought it seemed pretty good, but I wasn't in a place where I could respond to it in detail or anything, and responding to a 10 paragraph essay worth "nice work, I like it" seemed a little disrespectful.MacDougall wrote: ↑Wed Jun 27, 2018 11:55 pmYou promised me you'd read my sprityo case.
Dude's bad. There's no chance he's good at this juncture. I'd say Colin is aware of that at this point and has chosen the path of distancing.
what was sprityo's role claim?

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Day 5: Timelapse Painting
scotty died, he wasn't a mafia stunt kill or we would have been at mylo yesterday and also that would be a fucking crazy move, indicating probably civ. confirms golden/juliets since those two player slots have been paired for a while.
spacedaisy is a toolmaker of some kind and epignosis is a doctor kind of but not really, but also yes? neither of those roles are particularly mafia-like if real, spacedaisy's role is probably not fake since it's been talked about existing prior to revelation. epignosis could be fake, maybe epi targeted juliets with a negative thing that wasn't a kill or a protect? I guess that's the main danger with him.
that leaves sprityo and Colin who I don't remember shit about other than Colin grilled me a bunch about turnip head and has a role that gives him an extra vote if he predicts night poll results and what did sprityo claim?

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Day 2: Sig puts his John Hancock down
I don't think you're an asshole, Mac. You're good at mafia and you're probably a cool guy, and I made you one of my farmers in rimworld until you got bit by a raccoon and died of infection or something.MacDougall wrote: ↑Wed Jun 27, 2018 9:43 amI don't even know what this is homie. You just seem like one of the players (of whom there are several names who immediately spring to mind so it's clearly not a you thing, it's a me thing) who think I am an asshole for the way I play the game. I'm sorry man. I can't play it any other way. I like to accuse people and see how they react. Like I did with Colin up there.Kylemii wrote: ↑Wed Jun 27, 2018 9:41 ami mean as mentioned I had kind of a fucked up day yesterday so I wasn't in the best starting position for responding to bullshitMacDougall wrote: ↑Wed Jun 27, 2018 8:49 amYou have a habit of getting reeeally prickly when I suspect you don't you? What is it about me that has that effect on you?
as far as you go, idk. but i honestly thought we were through with this.
I'm not very good at defenses, the reason I play the way I do is so I don't have to do them very often, cus it's the least interesting part of mafia and gets in the way of the parts of the game that are actually enjoyable. your accusations often leap to the "____ person is absolutely mafia and I'm 100% confident in that" which is to me, a portent/omen of future time getting wasted talking about myself when I'd rather be doing other things

I know you're not being personal. I hope he gets better. Good luck with everything. Can you stop taking my attempts to solve the game personally please. It's so tiring to have to deal with it every time I try to contribute effort to solving the game. I am not personally attacking you.

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Night 4: That's No Moon; That's a Canvas
the time im not spending today at work is time i will be spending visiting my dad at the hospital for his surgery, and the time I'm not spending on that will be spent visiting my aunt who just had a stroke so maybe instead of trying to dictate how I spend my time you could just check out Greece mafia like I already suggested you do. You don't have to seek it out. It's just right there on the website. I know you can do it Mac. I believe in youMacDougall wrote: ↑Wed Jun 27, 2018 8:10 am You are asking quite a lot of me Kyle, to ignore the clear distinctions to draw between here and your U-Pick performance (which was a great Mafia effort with the same reward on display for you there as here), and go and seek out civ games, analyse them and push aside my suspicions of you on that basis. Perhaps, given you want the win so much and you say you are a civ, you would in fact do a courtesy to make said task easier for me, rather than asking something that you probably know I won't do.

point any one thing out about upick that's relatable to my gameplay here but not also relatable to every other game I've played in my entire life then you can come over and talk to me about "fresh meta"
I've put effort into following my instincts in these games, doing my best to solve shit cus i want speedchuck's top spot, don't put that cheap garbage in my mailbox just cus you don't know where else to put it.

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Day 4: The Iliad was Lost to Time
a big part of my early game civ meta is tooled specifically to allow me to have an easier time as mafia, it's something that i purposefully enforce. If i'm playing well here then there shouldn't be a visible difference.
![:p :p](./images/smilies/tongue2.gif)
i also think you're giving me far too much credit for my gameplay in upick, i was outside of the thread for like 2 whole phases which kept me from having to actually go through with the awkward bus job that would have inevitably happened if i hadn't been whisked away to the sex cave. i got "lucky" and it got taken out of my hands when you guys checked him or whatever so when i came out of my cave (and i was doing just fine, gotta gotta be down because i want it all. it started out with a kiss how did it end up like this? it was only a kiss. it was only a kiss.) and just said like "hey btw, i definitely also think long con is bad, like i said earlier" it was easy. it was an easy transition and an easy way to get a little bit of credit to chew on during the harsh winter days.

I started reading your ISO and fell asleep - not because you are boring but because I was tired. It did occur to me as I was reading though that I felt like I was reading Kyle from U-Pick and that's not good (for those who don't know Kyle was bad in U-Pick and had us fooled so bad that he almost won). So Kyle, would you say there is a difference between your game here and your game in U-Pick? If so, what is that difference?
