people keep suggesting in threads which items might be celestial but we knew what we needed the whole time. We had gotten most of them in the start poll, and then we robbed BR (I think?) night 1 to get another.Metalmarsh89 wrote:By the way, your welcome TH (and SVS) for stating in thread what my item was and that it was Oriental.
Though it seems you may have figured it out anyway with the book.

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [NIGHT 3]
Yea we were very confused about the bottle. I think we thought for a while that you were trying to let us know that you were the civvie item stealer and had taken that from Epi.Long Con wrote:OH! So, funny story here. I wanted the Celestials to steal the Ear Tubes that I stole from Liz Night 1.Long Con wrote:Anyway, I just want to reiterate to the Celestials, to Ichabod: please steal from me tonight. I promise that you will be glad you did. If you don't, then a great opportunity for you will be lost.I figured I was going to be nightkilled very promptly for coming after Epig and getting him lynched, and I didn't want the Ear Tubes in baddie hands.
Unfortunately, I didn't know that I had stolen the Bottle from Epig's safe when I assumed Luke McKracken's role. It was unclear that Luke got to STEAL from the safe, it seemed like he just got to SEE what was in the Safe.
So when Llama told me my Bottle was stolen, I was like "What bottle??"Sorry if that was confusing, TH, I can't imagine what you guys must have thought I was trying to do.
The bottle was mostly useless until we had the idea to curse one of us with it in case we were silenced. I think the baddies ended up killing TH instead of silencing him, but if they had stuck to their routine of killing the celestial that they silenced the previous day, it would have allowed TH to post still like SVS was doing with the double curse.
What did you guys think of SVS buddha story?

BR we could give items to one another. So we kept giving them to someone who wasnt silenced. The night you killed TH we thought you for sure would continue with the pattern and kill SVS, so we gave them all to TH.
so yea, getting NK'd sucked. but TH getting NK'd was so much worse.

oh well

I couldn't have thought up a better group of circus people if I tried.

linki - I'm not sure why the celestials 'naturally' became your next target. We were doing more harm then good and you guys could have won with us. Had you stopped after killing Golden this would have been a very different game and you guys probably would have won.
I never had BR down as Oliver Oliver and til the end thought that role was alive so I don't think that was that obvious either.

I'd really like to hear something convincing from the people who think SVS is civ/civ-friendly. Because I feel like I can only see one side of this and would like to be able to examine other perspectives.

I did not "lull" Golden into anything. You think I was working with Zomberella and then turned around and put the second vote on her? It would have made more sense for me to go along with Golden's "I think we can turn this lynch around" idea if that was the case. I don't buy into the whole "mafia could be throwing their teammates under the bus" theory, it has never made sense to me when it comes to an early vote. Later yes, I can see it, but in the first few votes almost a day before the lynch does not make any sense to me. Not unless they're the millionaire and even then that's pretty risky.
Wasn't fs the first vote for Epi?
I think I get what you're trying to hint at SVS but if that's the case why imply it was the item you had saving you rather than letting us think you were maybe Legga. Surely if that wasn't your role Legga wouldn't have minded people thinking it, until/unless someone tried to nightkill them. I've been baffled at the fact the mafia tried to kill you night 2 but then never pursued it again. The thing about Oliver Oliver is how does he know who he's talking to is telling him the truth?
I've been trying to get into Hedville but it's not letting me. I've been trying to find the Piano but it's not coming up in my searches. Did anyone ever play there? If so do you have a link? I know I stopped playing around 2009 or 10.
I'd like to put it out there my vote record is as such: I voted Zomberella Day 1. She wasn't the Millionaire so that would have pointless if I knew her role. bf/townie lynched.
Day 2, I missed the vote but I was pretty clear I wasn't on board with that MM lynch. MM /townie lynched
Day 3, I voted second for Zombarella (granted I was worried about myself) but she was lynched/mafia
Day 4, I thought that was a complete railroad of Sophie. I voted DP. He was n/k'ed so I assume he was townie but that was an odd kill. I wouldn't have been on board with it if I was mafia because he probably could have been easily lynched the next day.
Day 5, Voted 4th for Epi. It was a half-day until the vote-could have gone any which way. I posted my suspicion of him Day 2 and I never wavered from thinking he was probably mafia. Lynched/mafia.
I wasn't going to post that because I knew it would just be jumped on as WIFOM but I really got nothing much to lose at this point.
Thepiano is dead. Most of us played there, though I didn't in 2009. LC and a few others probably did.

Lynching celestials is a terrible idea. Literally the only people who would benefit from that are baddies, who can't win with them if all 5 are alive. Because almost everyone was wrong doesn't mean they aren't trying to help the civvie cause.
There were 11 votes for Sophie - so it is even impossible for just mafia and neutrals to have voted her.

Sophie - I also post from my phone a lot and have the same trouble cutting down posts. What works for me is to bold or underline the relevant parts. Both of those codes are short and easy for me to type in. Not sure this will help you but it might be something to keep in mind.

I don't see that as indicitive one way or the other. The sudden interest in Sophie is alarming to me.
Nothing that has been said is going to change my mind at this point. I hope you all see what I am saying and know that there is no way I would act like this if I were bad.
I'm voting Sophie now

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 4]
You did not call him a baddie before everyone. Several other people listed suspicion of him before you. I pulled several more quotes, but have deleted them since others can go back and read it. You subtly pushed the suspicion of him, and then when he had several votes, you placed another vote on him. That is why your vote is suspicious to me.
And it is the same as your vote on MM. little - no reason after he already had votes. That is jumping on a bandwagon.
Now you say "if" DP is bad... backtracking already?
Seriously though, what baddie in their right mind would defend a teammate like I have been doing? You're going to have to come up with a better pretend reason to suspect me then that.

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 4]
This here post from LizKeen is the first post about DP and the elephant charm.
In fact Sophie's first mention of the charm is this, where she is commenting on someone else talking about it:

linki - you are using the same quote. IT is a flat out lie that you created the suspicion. Both the original post I quoted and this one were well after Liz started that suspicion.Sophie wrote:Doesnt baddies obtain the item from people they kill? Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 4]
This is just a flat out lie. This was your first mention of DP after others already discussed the elephant charm:Sophie wrote:birdwithteeth11 wrote:I don't get the push for DP at all. The only two reasons I can see for voting for him are:
1) Because of some item swapping that may or may not incriminate him due to lack of hard evidence.
2) Because he's normally such an easy target with being quiet. Attach #1 to it and viola, an easy lynch candidate!
I think FS is right on with Sophie, however. The fact that she jumps in and attaches herself to the DP bandwagon makes me feel even better about her lack of being involved.
Votes Sophie
Im not jumping on any bandwagon, i was the first to insist he might be bad for having the br item
Sophie wrote:fingersplints wrote:I forgot to say I'm also eyeing MM and bass because I'm a little confused about that situation. I doubt I would vote either.
My strongest suspect atm is Sophie. A civvie Sophie is generally much more vocal than this. also, I am a little suspicious of how she has twice now asked dfaraday for his opinion. just his. She claimed it was from knowing him from RM but there are several others she knows better or as well that she hasn't interacted with at all.
Linki alright rabbitI'm pretty sure you know I am not bad
I know i havent been contributing much, but its because i ve been very busy. Im sorry for not being a very contributibe civvie, but if you are looking for baddies you should look elsewhere.
My biggest suspects are epi and dp

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 2]
how about this vote, Sophie?
Your reason for voting MM is "everyone went that way". Were you not jumping on a bandwagon there too?Sophie wrote:voting MM
theres no freaking way i have time to catch up you people talk waaaaay waaaaay too much and im like 25 pages behind, so, yeah
from what i ve seen skimming the last few pages, he mightr be the baddie who gets more powerful the more votes he gets unless he gets lynched, and i see everyone went that way so i will
i have been in a trip on my familys home in other city and been crazy busy taking care of my 1 year old gorgeous sweet niece, barely being able to keeping up from long distance work (actually im behind), and trying to read all the pages i was behind when i started. i was 20 pages behind when i started, and, even though i read at nightime and got to page 12, you guys kept advancing at an insane speed rate and im way more behind now. i should be able to improve my speed and time of reading when i return to BA tomorrow, but since tomorrow i will be travelling by bus, and then in the uni, then thursday is the real day i may be able to keep up, or ill do my best to. for now this is all i can do.

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 4]
I was originally pinged by her casually dropping dfaraday's name. Like I said there are loads of people she knows better, so it seemed suspicious to me she would be only curious about his opinions.Dom wrote:What pinged you in the first place?fingersplints wrote:I have already explained it. But then I evaluate her game and this level of inactivity and feigned confusion is without a doubt her baddie game.

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 4]
You are misrepresenting what happened in RR. Let me explain it to those that didn't play. That game was very different then this one, and at the time I was "sure" of you everyone else had been confirmed to me. (I was the detective) You hinted that you had a very important civvie role and also made it sound like you had info, so I thought you were claiming my role (which had already happened once that game so aggravated me) You were the civvie ninja, and that role usually just has a kill, no check, so I didn't see how you could be the ninja and claim to know what you claim. I was sure of you for about 4 hours til I calmed down that game and saw things more clearly.Sophie wrote:You seemed too convinced, fs. Like you were in RR and were also wrong there.
Look, i ve subbed in in this game, and by the time i got here there were already 20 pages of very charged, heated day 1. While i was reading those 20 pages in the weekend i visited family, thread kept moving fast and got to be 40 pages long. So i was literally always behind. I have catch up but my head isnt completely in the game. I know i usually dont behave like this as a civ, but this time im one, i assure you. Real life and subbing in have been the reasons why i might not seem my civvie self, but be sure i am good.
Im gonna be voting dp today, i think he is bad
