Thanks! And good luck on the job search! And yes thanks all for a good game!G-Man wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2019 11:28 am Nice work @sabie12! You won us the game.
Well played @Dom. Had you not killed me, I’d have probably gone along with a Long Con lynch. There was still a nagging suspicion of you in the back of my mind, but I don’t think it was more than auto-sus after years of seeing you be devious. I can see in hindsight where you might have been hoping for others to latch onto your faux-sus of me, but it hadn’t tripped my BS alarm yet. You walked that tightrope well.
Thanks to @MacDougall for the game and thanks to you all for making it fun. I’ve been out of action for months but it was pretty easy to jump back into the thick of it. Job searching and interviews got hectic the last week or so. I wish I could have been more in-the-moment with the rest of the game but such is life.

Haha yeah exactly that's why I brefily got kind of annoyed like people thinking I would be dumb enough to kill you and then super obviously be all like oh nutella did it. I was actually moreso thinking that you and tony thought she was bad and so maybe we should look at her and see why because maybe you're right.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2019 4:09 amJack: Nutella, you better kill me now and claim to be framed cause I’m coming for ya.sabie12 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2019 2:03 amPeople didn't believe me either when I came in and was like hey guys I think its nutella! Re: An Australian Country Murder Mystery (Day 4)
I messed up the first one with jack and got kinda frustrated like that's happened to me before where I check the person who gets killed off. Then nutella came up town and I had to decide if I thought she was the godfather. I was like man if she is I got this game in the bag because then I can trust all my checks from now on. Sure enough she was. Then LC and LLD. I had been thinking its probably dom after the dom accusations and then when he killed quin for saying dom is bad. I was really hoping if I died that my change of heart on LC was going to be enough to clue people in without obviously stating I knew anything. If I knew when the night was going to end I thought about doing an if I die dont kill LC post but I didnt know for sure so I held off.

Oh trust me I agonized over the decision about who to check but somehow I strategically did everything just right and it all worked out. I went back and forth that one night where no one was talking I thought about trying to subtly tell everyone what was up but I didnt and that worked in my favor.Sloonei wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 11:39 pm well since everyone else is posting...

Re: An Australian Country Murder Mystery (Day 4)
That's one of the best games I've ever played. I had been suspecting Dom for awhile and I was very meticulous about who I checked and making sure it wasn't going to be the night kill. When quin was killed after saying dom is a crook I was like hmmm and I figured dom thought quin was the cop. Funny thing is Dom actually called me out earlier in the game for underplaying myself and being slippery. He was actually right about that I was purposefully trying to be sneaky because didn't want anyone to know my role until just the right time.

I don't know if this means anything but dom basically says he had to vote for nutella to self preserve not that he really wanted to. I mean I've seen people purposefully lynch teammates to get civ cred. And you know who is bad when they're your teammates. So that doesn't necessarily point in your favor.

Re: An Australian Country Murder Mystery (Day 4)
In looking at nutellas ISO she makes it a point to always sort of imply she town reads DF without actually hardcore defending him. She never casts suspicion on him and michelle didnt really offer a read on him either. Maybe that was intentional and DF thought he could hide behind his last minute vote for nutella at the end of the last day.
I don't know going with LC seems too easy like even DF said in a previous post why would LC try to be obvious about it if he really were a baddie. He seems sketchy but I think hes just saying whatever comes to mind randomly as he feels like.

Re: An Australian Country Murder Mystery (Day 3)
I've been reading and re reading isos and I have to go with nutella. Nutella has been a common suspicion throughout the game especially with the civs who were lynched or nightkilled so far. I don't know if I really see a reason that dom would need to bus michelle so early on in the day when he had a chance to go in other directions. He was somewhat defensive of her which may be worth looking at but his progression on day 2 to me doesnt really make sense as a michelle teammate. Nutella has been defensive of michelle and votes in her own direction away from where other suspicion is going.I know nutella has a tendency to move along with the flow of the thread either way but she hasnt felt like shes been trying to solve this game. [VOTE:
nutella] aubergine

How does no one see what I see in G? His "analysis" is such a waste of space imo. He's not going anywhere with it. And as I keep pointing out, his Michelle vote was not good
I can agree that G man's most recent super long analysis post doesn't really seem to be concluding anything just explaining how votes went and then asking a lot of questions that he doesn't personally share his own ideas on the answers to. It's a lot of info without really sharing his own reads and thoughts on it.

Like why try to bait people to lynch you if it's just going to end up making us more behind? We've been having a hard enough time getting on the same page as it is. LLD does come off as a bit defensive and aggressive. I don't know if that is just how they always play or because they're bad and trying to move suspicion elsewhere. I'm not a fan of the aggressive conflict playstyle but maybe they just do things differently elsewhere.
I apologize I had an 8 hour meeting and a support group and then d and d. I take on too many things in my life at once. Falling asleep
I don't exactly get nutellas suspicion on gman or LLD vote on dom. I do see how nutella and michelle could be connected as she seemed to have defended her and talked about her being town. And then people seem to be suggesting that nutella and LLD could be connected so this would be the exact opposite approach to a teammate if that were the case. So then that would assume that in light of michelle flipping bad, nutella thought she needed to bus her other teammate and distance herself so that no one would think anything of it. And then proceed to make it a point to say that teammates try not to interact with each other much in the thread. She changed her vote off of her but still has at some point expressed suspicion on her that she could bring up later if LLD flips bad.
LC seems a little more genuine in his approach to today than he had been previously. Could his change in gameplay be from losing a teammate or just he wants to live up to what he said about coming in mid game to solve?
Quin is either hiding behind his gimmick to get away with being scummy or he's just busy and doesn't have time to dedicate to the game so he just kinda comes in doesn't read much, posts, and then leaves.
Currently I feel worst about nutella LLD and quin.

Me, because I didn't defend myself.
Not much time ago a silly Michelle asked villager Jackofhearts to not lynch me because I will flip green and so on (MU game). Can you imagine he didn't want to hear about that?
Since then I put lower effort in self defense and I try to not put so much emotion in the game because what I want by playing is to have fun and to keep the game enjoyable.
Again I am sorry I was wrong about Tony. But you don't want to lynch me for wrong read, but because I don't defend like you would like.
Sloonei/Epi are linked in a read I don't understand. Are they suspicious or not?
oops time out
Going to do something irl and continue after, sorry I have few more things to say at this post
I see it as Sabie mentioning a suspicion towards you and Epi.
Epi has decided to give his vote to me today. He apparently does not have time to play the game fully, so he’s decided to trust me and vote for whoever I vote for. I assume that’s what sabie is referring to.
I'm not entirely certain about that. I think epi may actually just be busy and doing whatever so I wasnt really suspecting him. Sloonei on the other hand the one thing with him is that he started the train on tony and others followed (yes I know I was one of them) but he says he would have no motivation to do so as a baddie because there were already votes on jack so he could have just gone with that. maybe he would have done that though, had others not believed his case on tony. It was just a thought I've had in the back of my mind. Didn't think it was worth putting a lot of stock into unless he ended up doing that again or doing something more sketchy. The quick change to quin I would think is because quin is putting in minimal effort and voted without much explanation.

In response to sloonei I've been town reading him and gman for thier efforts in trying to get discussion going and make cases.
LC seems to be putting in little effort this game so I'm not sure about him. I thought he usually did more but maybe that's his usual? I recall his reasoning for tony suspicion being because sloonei said so. Michelle kind of just says a few things here and there without really saying anything. I think she definitely could be bad. And I thought nutella was sketchy initially but no one else seems to agree with that so.
I don't know if I've seen enough from quin or dom to think anything of. Definitley nothing on lady? She had like one post?
DF is trying to participate at the urging of jack so good on him for that.
Epi is just kinda throwing votes around wherever he feels like.

SABIE12:
-Here she cays she is suspicious of both Jack and nutella. Both had votes by this point I think, so saying you're suspicious of the leading trains isn't that original. Her suspicion of Jack isn't rooted in anything from this game, and her suspicion of nutella is soft at best.
-Player reads that don't reveal much. Mentions Tony's past behaviors but also that she could go either way on him. She also likes my effort but doesn't take a stance on it, just that I hadn't said anything sketchy yet.
-Possibly her worst looking post. She says she's suspicious of Jack, nutella, and Tony. This doubles down on the "I'm suspicious of everyone you all are voting for" cop-out and diminishes the amount of original thought she needs to add to the mix. She says she already stated her suspicion of Jack early, but it wasn't based on in-game content. Her suspicion of nutella seems to stem from nutella's responses not giving off civvie vibes. Just because someone isn't giving off civvie vibes doesn't mean they're giving off baddie vibes. Saying "I think she might be bad because I can't civ read her" isn't enough. What makes her feel bad about nutella? Finally, her Tony content in this post is wordy and over-explained a bit, as if she's hoping that writing a lot justifies her vote to people. She closes it out with saying others have raised good points, giving her an excuse in a mislynch.
-Here she defends her Tony vote some more. It doesn't read well to me in part because her logic is very different from my own on discussing game mechanics.
-A little too quick to trust the dead here.
-Defending her quick vote on nutella. She also mentions that others have some good points on Michelle and that she is another that she intends to look into.
Overall, she needs to be more proactive than reactive with voicing suspicions. Agreeing with other cases is participatory, but providing more original viewpoints in engaged behavior. This could go either way, but I'm not a fan of what I see so far.
I really have no idea who is bad in this game and all I'm doing is attempting to figure that out. I just feel bad letting everyone down if I end up getting mislynched for trying.

Kind of insulting that you think I'm that dumb. Maybe Im wrong on my read of nutella but if I killed jack why would I be that stupid obvious about it? And what motivation would I have to do so when I probably would have ended up voting jack because I thought he was bad. The only thing I'm bad at this game is reads so far which I'm not the only one.Long Con wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 11:33 amYou killed Jack in order to frame nutella.sabie12 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 8:13 amSounds like what was me? Re: An Australian Country Murder Mystery (Day 2)
I actually just suck at this game. I was not suggesting that nutella wanted to take them out because they suspected her. I thought nutella was suspicious from the beginning. Both jack and Tony had suspected her so I put my vote there for now. I was more so saying maybe she's worth another look since both of them seemed pretty confident she was bad and she was the main suspicion that both of them shared. Apparently, that point didn't make sense to anyone, but me.
The suspicions on michelle make sense and people have good points on her. She was another one I was going to look at.

Re: An Australian Country Murder Mystery (Day 1)
I've noticed in past games sometimes the mafia players will focus on rules and gameplay so they're participating but not really having to say any reads. I thought maybe he was trying to appear helpful to town. He also made it a point to say he needed time to read jack and if he gets killed jack probably killed him. He was focusing a lot on jack and I was thinking maybe they could be teammates based on the way I've seen both of them play when mafia in the past. Also you had made a decent case on tony that I felt made sense at the time.Sloonei wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 3:31 pm I might as well look at sabie's vote as well.I notice sabie seems to support Michelle's point about Tony's lynch math being "sketchy", but I continue to not know why that is the case. Sabie, what did you find suspicious about Tony counting the number of mislynches? And how does this lynch change the way you see Jack and nutella, if at all?sabie12 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 6:33 am I have suspicions on all three of the people with votes. In looking through Tony's posts a lot of his focus is on jack. He makes it a point to say "if I'm nightkilled jack is scum" and that he needs a few days to figure him out subtle ways of saying dont lynch me im town without actually saying it. When he was mafia in the past his main focus of discussion was his own teammates so if they got killed off he could be like see I'm not bad. Ive seen jack do this as well. Also his post making it a point to say how many mislynches we can have was a little sketchy. I see a lot of fair points on him and he hasnt done much to counteract these points.
Jack I've expressed my suspicion on him. There's a fair amount of back and forth discussion on him but I'm still leaning towards thinking he is mafia.
Nutella can be very difficult to read as she does often follow the waves of the thread but her response to things so far hasn't made me feel confident about her being town.
This day 1 is hard there are fair points on all three. Voting tony as I feel worst about him and his efforts thus far.
I'll have to look more closely at jack and nutella.

Yeah the timing is going to be a little hardSloonei wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 9:07 pm We are playing this game on Australian time, which isn't unfair since the 'stralians usually have to adapt to the Western hemisphere's hijinks around here. But I want to note this just in case anyone's operating under the usual clock procedures. This phase will end while most of us Americans are asleep. That includes myself. I don't know how much I'll be around tonight, so for the moment my Tony vote can be considered potentially final. At the very least, I hope that my questions for/about him can be addressed in some manner.
I do not advocate a Jack lynch today, since he's been our leader for most of the phase. nutella feels like herself, and I've liked the direction of Michelle's play so far. Other than that I don't have any strong reads worth expressing.
I'll have to get up at like 6 am on a Saturday oh well. You do make some good points on tony. Was there a list of the ISO links on everyone?

Jack has played multiple games with me so why leave me out? Accidentally forgot me? Maybe... So far whenever I've played a game with jack and he's been mafia he makes it a point not to accuse me and ends up lulling me into a false sense of security just to come out and win in the end. Last time I realized just one lynch too late that it had happened again. He said hi to me in the beginning of the game so he knows I'm here. Also, I'm not sure how to take the whole making a big deal about DFs playstyle in the beginning.
I know nutella can be waffley a lot of times but some of what she's said kind of pinged me such as saying she didn't even know that Jack already votes and thinking tony would have tmi this early in the game. Some of her posts are just contradicting statements.![]()

Tony I'm not sure. He's pretty defensive of Jack but when he's been bad in the past he posted more and did more "reads" right away. He seems more tentative so far so I could go either way on him. Gman is putting a good amount of effort in. I don't think I ever played a game where he was mafia so Ive only seen his civ game. I don't think he has said anything sketchy so far.

I always think it's funny I'm considered a new player when I actually have been on this site since 2014 haha. Probably because I'm not always super talkative but I've been trying to participate more.

Hey guys I am here! Glad to be back! I just got out of work so I'll have to catch up on the thread so far. I like the setup of this one like a good ol fashioned murder mystery. I think this is my first Mac game should be fun.
