You've got this all wrong. Epi and I don't talk even a tiny bit of mafia once roles go out on a game. He wouldn't have more or less of an idea on my alignment than you all would. In my last post, I named my top two suspects...falcon and mac. I stand by it. I will vote mac for now and see what happens.

I’m more referring to the idea that Epi has a better read on you by virtue of him knowing you longer and, I dare say better than I know you.

Sort of like how my wife knows what my Thai food order is before I do.

I also feel like you’re not fully explaining your suspicions. I have that you suspect those 2. And those 2 exactly would be all you need to win if we miselim both of them.

I'm still trying to figure out how mafia works to me now. Napoleon Dynamite was the first game I actually enjoyed since 2020. But I was on vacation. I'm no longer on vacation. So we are back to me feeling guilty about ignoring mafia because of work while also feeling guilty about ignoring work because of mafia, both of which make my mood terrible. I then tried to see if being more apathetic and casual towards the game helps me manage it, but then you people started suspecting me so I just went "fuck it".

Real talk- I’ve had to change my approach to the game in the past year because of RL reasons my general feeling of enjoyment has waned and it is reflected in how I joke or play. And the unfortunate aspect to relate it to you is if you have an approach that someone clocks and associates you with, but then circumstances change, all people have is the difference in style. Precedent can be a bitch.

So yea, if you feel like this is a chore or even work (like I started to feel last year), do what you can and ignite the aspects you enjoy and cut the chaff of what isn’t working. It should be fun

I agree that mafia is less likely to bus. But only if it gets them cred. An initial hellbusser is very unlikely because they would be expected to be NK’d. Like me. If I’m still alive by endgame, I’m uber suspicious and should probably die.

So a more likely narrative is either being obviously defensive of your partner (you) to the point that it looks way too obvious (it does) or plant my flag on my partner mid-late for voting cred, but not initial cred.

Hence my POE based on voting alone is:
-falcon
-DDL
-Elo
-Epi

And we move in from there.

Elo is a tough cookie too. Her iso is barren except for pushing against SVS. This is also a compatible partner imo.

I just think at this point, if you’re good, more of the hunting is needed as opposed to lamenting the unfortunate situation of your D1. You’re not down and out, there’s just a lot of stuff stacked against you based on the direction of D1.

RE: Mac he hasn’t done much, but he did vote for Sprityo in the end. It was a meaningless vote in the scheme of things, but he went there nonetheless. So that’s something.

Well I lost my long post by way of copy pasting the wrong quote so fuckadoodledoo.

Long story short, I don’t think the early bussers are a thing in a 2 person game. That’s me > Long Con > Roxy > Epi, who put sprit over.

Long Con has been fluid and solved the SVS/sprit conundrum early enough.
Epi almost immediately called me and sprit as partners and jumped into one of those pairings when one of us had enough votes. This could still be a bus, as I don’t know if he would’ve switched to sprit from me if I had more votes as a potential wagon. Which i guess I could have been seeing as Roxy was there, but it never really took off.

Other posters are right- I think it more likely that sprit’s partner had some early and often defending of their partner to get them out of deep water on D1. This feels like a big ole swing and miss and unfortunately DDL is left naked without his swim trunks. I cautioned voting there before I went to bed last night because it’s so obvious.

I cannot imagine that shitvillian Scotty is content with the level of activity here thus far. Scotty has 8 posts, only half of which are on topic really.

In the Game of Champions, Scotty had 300+ posts in a game that lasted a mere 5 Days. That's 60+ posts per phase. I think Scotty is happy with the activity level here, and as such, I am happy with flushing Scott.
