Meh if I was Oracle I'd just claim early. The mafia are very unlikely to cc, we then don't waste time pushing them and we have a slot who we can at least trust the solving intentions of. I see very little downside to getting it out of the way early.RondoDimBuckle wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 2:01 amI dont think the Oracle is going to hard claim unless they are on the block and they should play it that way because then the other side of the block is probably a wolf

Re: Cartomancy [Day 1]
Koalas are fucking horrible animals. They have one of the smallest brain to body ratios of any mammal, additionally - their brains are smooth. A brain is folded to increase the surface area for neurons. If you present a koala with leaves plucked from a branch, laid on a flat surface, the koala will not recognise it as food. They are too thick to adapt their feeding behaviour to cope with change. In a room full of potential food, they can literally starve to death. This is not the token of an animal that is winning at life. Speaking of stupidity and food, one of the likely reasons for their primitive brains is the fact that additionally to being poisonous, eucalyptus leaves (the only thing they eat) have almost no nutritional value. They can't afford the extra energy to think, they sleep more than 80% of their fucking lives. When they are awake all they do is eat, shit and occasionally scream like fucking satan. Because eucalyptus leaves hold such little nutritional value, koalas have to ferment the leaves in their guts for days on end. Unlike their brains, they have the largest hind gut to body ratio of any mammal. Many herbivorous mammals have adaptations to cope with harsh plant life taking its toll on their teeth, rodents for instance have teeth that never stop growing, some animals only have teeth on their lower jaw, grinding plant matter on bony plates in the tops of their mouths, others have enlarged molars that distribute the wear and break down plant matter more efficiently... Koalas are no exception, when their teeth erode down to nothing, they resolve the situation by starving to death, because they're fucking terrible animals. Being mammals, koalas raise their joeys on milk (admittedly, one of the lowest milk yields to body ratio... There's a trend here). When the young joey needs to transition from rich, nourishing substances like milk, to eucalyptus (a plant that seems to be making it abundantly clear that it doesn't want to be eaten), it finds it does not have the necessary gut flora to digest the leaves. To remedy this, the young joey begins nuzzling its mother's anus until she leaks a little diarrhoea (actually fecal pap, slightly less digested), which he then proceeds to slurp on. This partially digested plant matter gives him just what he needs to start developing his digestive system. Of course, he may not even have needed to bother nuzzling his mother. She may have been suffering from incontinence. Why? Because koalas are riddled with chlamydia. In some areas the infection rate is 80% or higher. This statistic isn't helped by the fact that one of the few other activities koalas will spend their precious energy on is rape. Despite being seasonal breeders, males seem to either not know or care, and will simply overpower a female regardless of whether she is ovulating. If she fights back, he may drag them both out of the tree, which brings us full circle back to the brain: Koalas have a higher than average quantity of cerebrospinal fluid in their brains. This is to protect their brains from injury... should they fall from a tree. An animal so thick it has its own little built in special ed helmet. I fucking hate them.DrWilgy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 10:36 amYou have compared me to the worst animal to ever exist and I believe I should take offenseRondoDimBuckle wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 10:31 amApologies I didn't realise you had the sleeping cycle of a koala. Uh you misunderstand. Mafia vote their partners when they are under early pressure. It's good for optics to do so early cuz you have ample time to end up putting your vote elsewhere. If Kate is taking heat like this early as mafia, one or more of the voters is her partner for sure imo.DrWilgy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 10:50 amI'd have to see if any voter is actually under pressure to warrant this.MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 10:46 amEh I'd say that if Kate is mafia that there's a mafia voting her almost always. I alreayd answered the falcon question when talking to him, but basically he’s misvoted a lot and I don’t see much to see why he’s mafia. His posts (up to where I was which was around 10am today) are all pretty normal.
Mac is someone who we shouldn’t hardcore read town day 1 and I said why in my post. I’m not liking some of your questions especially this one since I answered it upfront? Seems like you’re just fishing for a reason to vote for me right now.
The other two were gut feels I like their playstyle so far.
I was against voting you day 1 since I wasn’t seeing the reasons and it seems like you’re misvoted alot.
Now my questions for you.
Why is it odd that I don’t want people to Town Read Mac for doing almost nothing, BUT, it’s also odd for me to not want to vote you out since “this is a game of deception”? You’re Basically making two totally counter arguments/point that don’t fit together at all. This + you questioning me about Mac is raising some flags

Re: Cartomancy [Day 1]
I just thought the other 3 were townier at the time. It means nothing anymore.Porscha wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 7:17 pmI agree is dumb to try wagonomics on it, why do you think creatures vote is the worst of themMacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 10:45 am The more true thing about that 4 player wagon is it is likely 75% town regardless of Kate's alignment, which is pretty well rand. So trying to do wagonomics with it is dumb.
However 3 of the voters seem much townier than the other, hence my vote.

Re: Cartomancy [Day 1]
Baudib wasn't saying Wilgy had a wrong worldview he was managing the reads quality of the player he replied to. He made no comment on Wilgy.falcon45ca wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 7:42 pm@MacDougallBaudib1 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 1:39 pmOnce again, no it isn’t. Pushing wrong world views is exactly what scum do.falcon45ca wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 1:34 pmNo, that's not true. Lots of legit reasons to SR a player can & do emerge D1, but to SR a player just cuz you feel they have 0 wolves in a list of 3 is utter crapCreature wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 1:32 pmThe same can be said to literally any wolfread rn. Re: Cartomancy [Day 1]
I would say the same thing about Alison. Why is eliminating Falcon early worse than Alison without factoring alignment?Seanzie wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 8:09 pm*copy/paste one of the 17 posts I've made in previous games about why yeeting Falcon early in a game is a bad idea*MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 8:06 pmI think this is mafia Falcon.falcon45ca wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 6:52 pmNeon is pocketing me, and I kinda like it.

Even if you think this, I'd recommend spending your attention elsewhere for now.

Re: Cartomancy [Day 1]
Alison (she/her) - Seems ok to me. I think a lot of her suspicion is based on horseshit and some of it is very opportunistic.
Baudib1 (he/him) - Is blatantly town. Voters on Baudib are wolves or need to get good.
Bereft (he/him) - Dropped off and is attracting zero attention = mild sus.
Creature (he/him) - Kinda sus.
Dennis (he/him) - Seems like an overwhelmed town. His takes feel sincere.
DrWilgy (he/him) - Not buying a thing he says.
falcon45ca (he/him) - Falcon is either mafia or a town who is not reading the game properly and still trying to influence the game in spite of it.
fingersplints (she/her) - Slank wolf prospect. Entry bad.
Jackofhearts2005 (he/him) - Probably town cuz he's making me cringe all over the place and seems to have some sanctimony with his Alison sus.
Kate (she/her) - My current theory is town and that's why Alison is copping heat (wolves with TMI are defending her).
lucy (she/her) - Probably town Oracle?
MacDougall (he/him) - Lock wolf.
Neon (she/her) - Up and down. I scumread them earlier for just being ... guarded. Then Neon sorta made some reads that made me feel like she lacked tmi. But then when I look at opportunism as a scumtell Neon is suspect number 1.
Porscha (she/her) - Kinda not sure. Dropped off a fair bit and hasn't exactly been in their town meta.
RondoDimBuckle (any/Rondo) - Genuinely don't know.
Roxy (she/her) - I don't think Roxy is one of the mafia if my Kate town theory is correct. Roxy comes across like a town that Alison is kind of toying with out of principle.
Seanzie (he/him or they/them) - I think he's town just on wim and effort. His posts haven't really vibed much.
sig (he/him) - Lightly townreading Sig. Just sincere posts.
staypositivefriend (she/her) - Townreading on tone and feeling entirely. The game feels easier to solve and more rational when SPF is posting.
tutuu (any) - Wildcard. I don't know.
