Return to “Lost Again Mafia (Season 3) - Day 5”

I was thinking that what people were clearing you for was weird, because it was the exact same thing as what I said about DF: 'the game's over, so why would he still be making accusations if he was town?'Dom wrote:Golden wrote:Everyone agreed to vomp it lol. That's going to lead to town losses.Quin wrote:I could have put more effort into this game, I admit. Sorry for that Golden - I'd just hit sort of a mafia slump of sorts.
Everyone needs games where they don't play as hard though. I tend to get lynched when I have mine.
Also, another note. Dom had no warning that I was going to do what I did with DF. It was only briefly and was just fun on my part. So good on him for running with it.
I'm sure it isn't fun having lots of people approach your game that way, so I'm sorry for the subpar performance. Although, I did make the decision to play a more gut-based game after a little bit and it did pretty well in catching DF.Golden wrote:Everyone agreed to vomp it lol. I was refreshing like crazyGolden wrote:Yes... it just wasn't the 'wrong role'. It was the entire mafia team.speedchuck wrote:I mean... that is an accidental reveal.Quin wrote:Golden lied with that one. He actually revealed Dom and SVS as DF's teammates in the role reveal, so he had to sub me out to cover it up.speedchuck wrote:I do want to know who was revealed accidentally and who would have died D1 if Llama hadn't messed up the tie.
Also, Quin is fast. I edited it as soon as I posted it, quite literally.

yeah but where's your socky?Epignosis wrote:Then shame on you.speedchuck wrote:I don't drink coffee.

You play a bad guy like I do.
Uh...
No I don't. I'm good at it.
If you're town then the game is over so there was no need to say this. Eagerly awaiting a baddie flip.DFaraday wrote:Baddies are Quin, SVS, and either Chuck or Dom. *is strangled*
I do think DF is a sure thing, and I'd rather guarantee a Day 5 than take a risk and mislynch now.Epignosis wrote:Well, right not DF is getting the lynch (or maybe not).
Might as well not even vote.

Two out of three ain't bad.
But two are.
Why is this indicative of a bad Sorsha?S~V~S wrote:It's based on phoning it in mainly. Also Dom backed off of me too easily when he poked me and I poked back re my misinformed suspish of G Man. I don't expect either of them to totally phone it in.
Also Sorsha seeming to think I was defending her when I was actually questioning why she had votes at all was a bit odd.
Linki, good point.
Fair cop. His early picking at DF at least looked genuine, though. The only person to point at him before then was sawyer, who was one of the most suspected at the time.Epignosis wrote:If DF can survive a lynch, nobody looks good regardless of him being bad.Quin wrote:Can you explain them then? I think that Dom would come out looking good from a DF baddie flip.
Have you talked about the first two before? I need to read.S~V~S wrote:Probably Sorsha or Dom. I still doubt Speed is bad. He acts too bad, if you know what I mean. He doesnt care how he looks.
speedchuck.Epignosis wrote:I would like everyone to pretend DF is gone. It's Day 4. Who gets your vote and why?
I've had pangs of suspicion. He was quick to accept me as town even when it'd been made clear that in a balanced setup either DF or I must be bad. I get that he town read me anyway, but at Lylo I'd have expected it to be debated more. He was also the third to jump on my Sorsha vote.G-Man wrote:Following me isn't the goal. Keeping our options open is. Tell me what you guys think about speedchuck.
G-Man wrote:Five Reasons Speedchuck Might Be Mafia:
1) He spent most of Day 1 posting but adding nothing of substance.
2) He mentions he'd almost rather force a tie than lynch either notsawyer or nutella on Day 2. Perhaps he knew and this was him playing 'uncertain civvie' as little too loosely?
3) The top half of his colorless rainbow was pretty spot-on.
4) He's tightened up his game the longer the game has progressed.
5) There's a lot of posts expressing his thoughts on the thoughts and theories of others but I feel like there's not enough expressing his own thoughts.
Five Reasons Speedchuck Might Be Civvie:
1) He's newer here and still trying to get used to all of our varying personalities.
2) I feel inclined to give a new guy the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes to a fault though.
3) He had a good, pointed question to S~V~S regarding her "second silly vote looks worse than the third" bit.
4) He's tightened up his game the longer the game has progressed.
5) n/a

That specific role is one option. It's also possible that DF just has the counter to my role.Epignosis wrote:The fact remains that DF received the most votes and there was no lynch. How do you account for that?Quin wrote:If I recall, (I might be mistaking him for Rico or llama) Golden criticised my having a role of that sort in my burglary. I don't think that would be the case here based on that.Epignosis wrote:Perhaps "traditional" is a poor word choice. I simply mean if DF cannot be lynched until his goons are taken out first, trying to lynch him today gets the mafia the win.Quin wrote:What's your definition of a traditional mafia godfather?Epignosis wrote:If DF is a traditional Mafia godfather, and he gets the most votes, the game is over, and the civilians don't win.

Short answer: That's not my full role card. It's half.DFaraday wrote:So you're saying that you're Nikki AND Paulo? And that you had a kill even though your role card said you're a vanilla civ? At the very least, the role card was leaving out an incredible amount of information about you; at worst, it was actively misleading. I don't see why I should believe anything about your role card, or that you're civ.Quin wrote:Surely this answers to that query:DFaraday wrote:That same post also said you're dead, and yet here you are.Quin wrote:My role card says so.DFaraday wrote:No it doesn't. I don't know if you're trying to guess or if I should just tell you
If Nikki, your catch phrase is: "Razzle dazzle!"
If Paulo, you just stand there looking like a lost but devoted puppy dog until your better half shows her true colors and chucks a paralyzing spider on you out of greed.
Either way, you got the short end of the stick this game, unless you've got crazy awesome powrs.

I don't consider INH to have had a power role. I also think the balance would be way off if civilians had a unkillable confirmed townie, a bulletproof vig, and a lynch-proof role and mafia had nothing but vanillas.G-Man wrote:For what reason? Couldn't the baddies all be vanilla? They were in my games. Honestly, I thought Widmore would have counted as a non-vanilla role but I can't recall what the final determination on wincons was when it was hashed out. INH didn't have an active power but he also wasn't a regular civvie. Curiouser and curiouser. I hesitate to trust anyone rushing to judgement at this point.
I think you were buddying my sawyer case yesterday.DFaraday wrote:If someone could outline the case on me, that'd be great.
if speedchuck hinted at being Paulo, that's a problem. I know he outright claimed Sun, but that was after I claimed both losers. I'm not familiar enough with the show to make proper sense of it.nutella wrote:Lol, nice.G-Man wrote:From your comment about spitting up sand, my thoughts are you could be Paulo or Vincent. Okay then.

If he's Paulo and Quin is Nikki it feels somehow fitting that both of those characters were given to players who haven't watched the showFilthy redshirts
