Hi.

I'm back to teaching last week/this week, which has cut into my Mafia time. Everytime I check back there's 100+ posts (more when I wake up in the morning) and I can't remember who has what role and everything like that. But Town seems to have this in hand tbh, so I'm not exactly worried about contributing. Basically I'm just feeling pretty useless but also don't feel the need to jump in and change that.

At the beginning of night 2 you had access to Nutella and Sprityo's role. Why did you choose to use Sprityo's role and not Nutella's doctor again?

I had access to sprit's abilities but could only choose one. I targeted Nanook to detect any vote manipulation from him or on him. At the end of the day I'll recieve a report on whether he himself or anyone voting for him has a vote that does not count for exactly 1. I choose Nook because he seemed to be getting moderate suspicion and I was trying to predict who might be a possible wagon at some point today.

Tbh I don't really care about the mech stuff - I know I can get that from someone at any time and it's not my favourite aspect of Mafia anyway. I mean more that I don't have a good sense anymore of the townieness/scumminess of everyone, as I've missed on reading chunks of the thread and haven't been interacting much which I find integral to get 'into' the game. But I'm aware the towncore seems to be doing well, based on results, and so am not too bothered at the moment about my own lacklustre performance - when the game slows down, should I still be alive, I'll be able to keep up more easily.
Well that's on you, do better. A fair few of us suspect you to be mafia backup with a graverobber fakeclaim so if i were you I'd fix that and sooner rather than later

Completely within Nanook's wolf range tbh. He pays more attention than he often lets on in thread (though he's clearly been more active this game than the ones I wolfed with him) and strategises in wolf chat and such. He's also fairly versatile; in one game he distanced from me early on, in another he tried to townclear me instead and had to backtrack later.

In a vacuum, I agree that Herm is a likely scum candidate, based on his general play and interaction with nutella.

But I also agree with you that he looks different from G9 where he was scum. He was much more...careful. He's relatively quiet here in terms of thread presence but doesn't seem quite as hesitant and cautious as I remember from G9.

But, like, different environment and all. I think threadplay overrides meta, so Herm should remain in the PoE imo.

Mac is indeed pretty downy. He's a big softie.

My initial thought was I saved Alison from the NK and am a hero PR again, but I guess maybe not.

In the interests of all info being on the table, and since I see nothing about not infodumping for my role and am just playing the game as a follower anyway, may as well confirm that I targeted Alison with a protective role last night that I believe I unwittingly stole from nutella. (I can assume roles from dead players.) I was not informed what role it was, just that I could protect someone.

Upon reconsideration, Nook's reaction to me is kind of how I'd expect scum to react to an unjustified slanking accusation. But it also kind of fits Nook as a person. So I dunno.

I just don't want to read him tbh, since I should be good at it after watching him deep wolf twice on my team but don't want to be wrong. So I just won't try from now on.

If he gets to endgame chop him without thinking twice though.

From the ISOs I've done so far (still eight to go) the only possible counterwagons to Nutella I could really get into would be Ted, Herm, or Odd.

Veto Herm. He feels different from G9. Different environment of course, but I think he's looser than that game. Could be wrong, I'm not reading closely, though.
