I dig it. Micro interactions like this feel very spontaneously and can be harder to pull off when you're hyper-conscious of your perceived association with the other person.

I dont get it.

The theory is basically that mafia partners are more conscious of how they look in relation to one another. As such, they might be more hesitant to engage in casual chatter like this early in a game. Their interactions might instead tend to feel more choreographed, prepared, or calculated. They'll pick their spots.

So when two players freely and spontaneously engage in a silly little side conversation, it can be taken as an indication that they do not have those concerns about perception against them.

This is not a rock solid tell, nor am I saying that I agree or disagree with pyxxy's read of sig and sabiplz. But I can see where the thought comes from, and it is a read I am willing to acknowledge at this stage of the game (even if I'm projecting my own interpretation onto it).

It's mostly a saying that any wagon with at least three voters is likely to contain at least one wolf in it regardless of the wagonee's alignment.

That is possibly true

(Quick math suggests in a standard 12v3 game, if there are three players on a wagon Day 1, there is a 48% chance they are all town, and thus a 52% chance that at least one of them is a wolf).

Neon's my strongest townread atm. She's the top poster, and a large amount of it is fluff yes, but she does seem to be naturally responding with game takes amidst her shitposting, and I think that combination of content is pretty townie.

It's also a drastic change from Holes Mafia, where she had trouble pushing other players in the game when she tried (namely me)

Hello everyone, as Party Crasher, I am here to share some information with you that I believe is crucial to our success as a town. I strongly suspect that Golden is Mafia, and I have evidence to support my claim.

Firstly, I want to establish my own credibility as a Town member. I have been actively participating in discussions and investigations throughout this game, and I have been advocating for the best interests of the Town. My voting record shows that I have consistently voted in favor of lynching suspected Mafia members, and I have been pushing for more investigations to uncover the truth.

Now, regarding Golden, I have observed some suspicious behavior from him. Golden has been relatively quiet in our discussions, and when he does speak, he tends to deflect attention away from himself and onto others. He has also been quick to jump on bandwagons and vote with the majority, which could indicate that he is trying to blend in and avoid suspicion.

Furthermore, I have noticed that Golden has been inconsistent in his statements. He has made some statements that don't quite add up, and when confronted with these discrepancies, he has been evasive and defensive.

Based on all of these factors, I strongly believe that Golden is Mafia. I urge the Town to take my suspicions seriously and to carefully consider the evidence that I have presented. We cannot afford to let a Mafia member slip through our grasp, and we need to work together to identify and eliminate the threat. Thank you for your attention.

This case is pretty weak/D1-standard and only looks bigger than it is because 90% of the post is big words fluff to give an appearance of grandiosity

Not that the case itself isn’t something to look into, but the method of communicating it has a certain level of pompousness in it that may push people away from the read, which I almost-wonder is intentional. The reason I say that is just imagine a PC/Golden W/W scenario (regardless of how likely such a pairing is), you make a case on your scumbuddy but then you write the case in such a way where people don’t pay attention, so if your scimbuddy ever gets chopped later you can point to that post and say that you were onto them and gain towncred, while providing an empty case that nobody will pick up, thus letting you have your cake and eat it too because your scumbuddy isn’t actually going to be pushed

Like nobody has actually engaged me in any meaningful way. I've made a couple of light pushes and got omgussed by players that should know better than that. There seems to be no really coherent strategy to this day. The top posters are all players who aren't post count polarised so I can't base any read on that. The only empirical thing is probably that Porscha 2 posting is >rand mafia for her. Seanzie and Rondo not tilting me already might be indicative of them not being town maybe I guess? Lily and Neon seem okay? On the little I've read I would guess Sabi is more likely in their wolf meta? Lots of the scum solving going on just rings hollow or rand at best and I don't really have the energy to figure out much.
