In the night I was deadset on SVS/jpic but there goes that idea. My initial thought now is it's just SVs and LC because I think Roxy and falcon are town based on play, and they were the end of day 2 as well. SVs and LC bad mean that they were just making up an argument and tunneling each other most of D2, which I guess is entirely possible, tho I distinctly remember SVS saying in a previous game that she doesn't bus teammates unless she has to. That's my main hangup with this solve.

That's where I'm at.

I'm sure I'm probably a hot topic for at least 4 of you, so let me know if I can assuage any concern.

Ok, to summarize my conclusions here: there’s a lot of what seemed like solving at the time, but with reading the receipts it reads more like branding without warming up the poker.
I think falcon has suspected everyone in this game- some more than others- but at the end of the day, there doesn’t seem to be a strong progression of those suspicions. The point where he reprimands LC for going for timmer like he knew the whole time timmer was a bad vote reads as TMI to me.

He has mentioned Roxy a few times as suspicious, but has never really pushed that. Odd.
He has lightly townread SVS I think, but I don’t remember seeing much of her mentioned. Also odd.

LC is someone that spent D1 and the first part of D2 in silly mode. He got a lot of side eyes from a lot of people pushing him up against the lockers and stealing his lunch money for it. His lightness to me seemed towny, and not calculated. I don’t remember him actually leading the thread in any capacity, so when jpic suggested LC and I were powerwolves, I was going ‘LC? Really? Idk seanzie kill reads to me that mafia are trying to musdy the waters as much as possible. One one hand it’s good because that’s a potential misyeet gone but the other we have about as much as info as day 1

I thought it was kind of a 'generous to the spirit of the game' move by the baddies, and I respected that. But now I've read these alternate perspectives, and maybe they killed a non-player because they like the way the winds are blowing. They like the gamestate as it is. Which could mean quiet Wolves, or it could mean confident Wolves.

A serious case for SVs. This is a departure from his D1, which is to be expected, but it is worth noting that where his reads before this point were peepeepoopoo, this one he actually means business.

The reads aside from SVS and Hal are seemingly arbitrary if you actually look at his iso. Last he talked about me, for instance, I was a scumread. Why does he townread me and falcon? Does he need to explain every read at all times? No. But we’re in Serious Long Con Mode (tm) starting from this list onward imo, and since he’s in this mode, I’d expect a stronger progression.

SVS-Hal is my top scumteam. Hal was at the level of JPIC and Roxy in my last coloured list, and they have both looked better since. I liked your analysis of Roxy's town play.

Ok so we know hal is town, and let’s be honest, hal was probably a realllly easy mislynch. When his push on SVS didn’t get traction besides me, he has set himself up if he’s bad to just turn right around and vote SVS tomorrow. That would be game over if SVS is actually town, and his progression is sound.

Derp. Is this real? Like, I’m having a hard time believing this is a legitimate mistake.

Since Long Con turned into Serious Long Con (tm) at start of D2, he launched into a tunnel on SVS, and kept about 3 Scumleans he could pivot to if that didn’t work. Hal happened to be an easy mark he could hang his hat on. But if we assume a 7v2 game, just 2 more mislynches are needed to win. So from a game perspective, a scum LC would be best served having 1-2 strong mafia reads at start of D2, because that’s all he needs to win if both are town.

LC’s day 1 was very towny, and devil’s advocate- if LC were to keep that up for D2, I don’t think it would have done town any favors. What’s frustrating is SVS, who I also suspected in D2, didn’t go over for info to shed light onto LC’s alignment. I can see a world where he bussed his teammate to distance, but that’s questionable strategy.

Add on that I’m starting to feel like he’s been pocketing me this whole time, and I just…don’t feel great about LC. I want to feel good about him, but he’s taking a passive approach here by using syntax like ‘I believe in you’.

Mostly fluff and weirdness. Scotty seems to be trying to poke the thread and start discussion. I do think it's weird that he is asking you that question about not voting new to you folks when both of you took flak for it in a recent game, with Delta.

I made a rudimentary reads list, and listed Roxy as "Trying to move things along, good look" (paraphrase).

Why would I "engage" someone for no reason? We had a small, couple posts, convo about low posters, but she hasn't said anything else I felt required "engaging".

Reading you and Roxy has been more of a cursory read, and from memory I didn’t recall you two interacting much less reading each other

I have a set of ideas for tone with Town Rox, not unlike with Kate, she's easier for me to find than bad Rox, I got a clear picture of her town game from an adversarial position in Se7en, where I watched her very closely. Town Roxy has a wide focus, she looks at everyone, she doesn't much tunnel, and she evolves. So yes, especially since most of the limited talking has been generated by her. That's who I see here, and I don't recall ever seeing this when Rox was bad. So i won't town core anyone before voting/results, but I town lean her, yeah.

Firstly, she had that ‘becasue’ less than 10 posts after saying she always spellchecks as mafia. It felt so coincidental and convenient.

Voting for her main scumread. Again, with what I remember from SVS in past games, she’s not one to bus a teammate unless she absolutely has to. So unless she just breaks meta (which she herself has said she takes with a grain of salt) it doesn’t make sense for LC to be her teammate. He was in no need to be bussed on D1. And as a matter of fact, it would be rather inoptimal for mafia partners in a 2-person game to target each other D1 anyway- that would be a huge, voluntary hole.

I have a set of ideas for tone with Town Rox, not unlike with Kate, she's easier for me to find than bad Rox, I got a clear picture of her town game from an adversarial position in Se7en, where I watched her very closely. Town Roxy has a wide focus, she looks at everyone, she doesn't much tunnel, and she evolves. So yes, especially since most of the limited talking has been generated by her. That's who I see here, and I don't recall ever seeing this when Rox was bad. So i won't town core anyone before voting/results, but I town lean her, yeah.

I finally started my new job this week, and I fell asleep on the couch, and went to bed early. But tbh had I been here I don't know that i would have had much to say, having read back over it.

While I personally didn't find anything overtly bad about Halyn, I thought voting for them was reasonable since I also didn't see much of what I associate with town Robyn. They made a post about ignoring other players for the greater good, and that's town Robyn all over to me. And I only saw flashes of that person here.

I've made my position clear. In the Beans game I (town) uber aggressively went after Jack, and was so positive he was bad, and I was so wrong. So I've had a bit of a confidence challenge.

Ok, to summarize my conclusions here: there’s a lot of what seemed like solving at the time, but with reading the receipts it reads more like branding without warming up the poker.
I think falcon has suspected everyone in this game- some more than others- but at the end of the day, there doesn’t seem to be a strong progression of those suspicions. The point where he reprimands LC for going for timmer like he knew the whole time timmer was a bad vote reads as TMI to me.

He has mentioned Roxy a few times as suspicious, but has never really pushed that. Odd.

A- you voting her means nothing if you’ve voted most people in the game.
B- yes, I’ve been kinda defensive of her this game because she is a strong town read. That you still aren’t answering or expanding on your position of her is stranger than me protecting someone I town read
C- Roxy’s town meta from my experience has a particular shade to it, as I’ve explained before. I think I’m pretty good at reading it. Could I be wrong? Well, yea. But I feel more confident she is good than I feel confident on all my scum reads this game
