i liked scotty's reads list in that it gave us some idea where his thoughts are even though nothing very concrete. i'm curious to know why he thinks syn is 3p and is playing with that idea. i haven't even thought of 3p hunting yet and we don't even know if the 3p is town or mafia aligned. i feel like people who usually focus on 3p hunting are mafia - so that's my main negative observation, but it's not like he's building cases yet about it.

Well mine isn’t quite that long. But this is the 6th (non turbo) game in a row I’ve been town and I’m loving the change from 2023 where I randed non-town in half my games.

In a vacuum, I think DDL seems townie but this looks like w/w flirting.

This was a wolfy thought jump to me. If you townread DDL then usually you wouldn't jump to his interaction maybe being distancing at this early stage in the game, you just wouldn't think about it. It sticks out with the lack of other reads imo, that you thought enough about that interaction to think about w/w distancing with someone you thought was town in the pair but didn't find other AI content worth talking about.

Also townreads are fine, I love townreads, but I've noticed that when I'm mafia, townreads are MUCH easier to make than wolf reads (for obvious reasons) so I tend to lean on them a lot too. Lime is not me, but could be a similar thing.

But when you are mafia, townreads are just about stating what you already know, while wolf reads involve coming up with absolute lies. It's much more difficult. At best, I try to find posts that "town DDL would find this suspicious for town DDL reasons", and verbalize those, but it's never the same thing.

While when you are town, you might not be confident on a wolf read (god knows I never am), but you can still just be honest about how you're feeling.

Like, I see what you're saying, but since I'm town the only thing I can use to explain it is "it's probably a deal with my playstyle"
The alternative would be that I have a manipulative behaviour in general, as a person, and I would like to think that's simply not true
"It's salt from my last town game" still feels like the easiest explanation (my last wolf game I got subbed out of due to accidentally dm'ing a target instead of the host, which also felt bad because I was doing a good job, so might come salt from that as well now that I think about it) but I've been playing mafia for so long that I might have become a more manipulative player than I'm aware of
