Be back tomorrow to discuss more. Gotta go to sleep now

Yeah, there was definitely not enough chatter last day period. And the vote was super scattered because of it.MovingPictures07 wrote: What is everyone else thinking? I feel we definitely need to see if we can have more discussion today because there was not enough last Day period.
I had the same feeling about both. I always get a bit paranoid about quieter players since they seem careful and don't really post enough to give you any reason to be able to suspect them. I'm not sure if I would consider either quieter then normal. I'm trying to compare ninja's game now to when I have seen her as a baddie, but I can only think of Zelda she was bad in. so I'm curious what llama thinks since he was her teammate that game. (I guess Elo too since she was her teammate that game too. no offense Elo, but I trust llama more this game, and that's the only reason I am more curious what he thinks)blindfaeth wrote:Yeah, there was definitely not enough chatter last day period. I think my gut is telling me bea or zombs, personally. I'd also like to point spotlights at Bass and nijuu - if for no other reason, I sense they are flying way under the radar. I don't hear them being mentioned enough at all. Does anyone have a reason these two could be naughty? Their relative silence makes me nervous-

I don't want to live in that universe.
The next day, he accuses splints out of nowhere with little rationale or engagement with her. These two posts come right after the other, and read to me as if he realized (or was told bts) that the first post is sketchy, so he posts again 8 minutes later so cover his ass against accusations of throwing things around to see what might stick:Bass_the_Clever wrote:I'm voting Canuck because her post really didn't read genuine to me.
Bass_the_Clever wrote:Splits why di you jump around on day one so much?
Then, as soon as he gets some validation from MP that his vote for splints won't be viewed as completely wacky, he goes ahead and puts his vote there, while making sure to keep the flames of the Canuck-wagon fanned:Bass_the_Clever wrote:I find splints vote for zombie kinda weird. After talking about voting a low poster or someone that did something that stuck out to her. I didn't find zombie odd on day one. But I'm find splints a little more suspect now.
I encourage everyone to read through bass' posts for themselves. There's less than a page of them, and they are an absolute picture of noncommittal, opportunistic, under-the-radar type play.Bass_the_Clever wrote:Well I still find find Canucklehead suspect as well but I'm going to go with my gut and vote splints today. I wish I had more time to explain I will be driving home from the beach and won't be home till after the lynch. So I voting splints.MovingPictures07 wrote:
What do other people think? I would really appreciate commentary on these three people specifically as well as what other players you all are looking at and why.
With that said, I doubt I'll vote elsewhere than my 3 suspects, BUT I'm very curious what everyone else is thinking, and am obviously open-minded to the discussion and events of the remainder of this day period.
I have to go now, but I'll be back in the thread off and on until deadline, providing my thoughts.
Linki w/ Bass: Interesting you mention this because this was a point I brought up previously. I thought she mostly satisfied my answer, honestly, but there is something a bit still pinging me from her on a gut level, and I'm not sure I completely believe her. As I stated previously, I think the most suspicious aspect of splints's behavior was how she seemed very ready to hop on the MM train and then steered course to Zombies (that said, I did miss an explanation post in my original statement of this suspicion, so it wasn't a complete turnaround out of nowhere, but nonetheless is the part that I'm still least satisfied with her explanation). I don't think I'll vote for her. Lol, linki again. What other thoughts do you have, Bass?
holy crap, I completely forgot about that ability. Thanks for mentioning this Canuck. It's definitely worth taking a look at the votes again with this in mind. May help sniff out some baddies-Canucklehead wrote:After a quick re-read of the roles, I think an alternative explanation for Bass' random fs vote (when he actually wanted to stay on the BR train and vote for me) is that he was targeted by Judge Doom. Which would confirm him as a Toon Patrol member.

This is funny, splints, because you pretty much stole almost everything I was thinking about these two players when I read BF's post. Now I feel weird because this doesn't happen to me often due to my talking too much. :Pfingersplints wrote:I had the same feeling about both. I don't know about bass. I was giving him the BOTD for all the game since he has RL stuff, but i agree he should be looked closer at. I am not suspicious of him for voting me, but I don't like that he still really hasn't elaborated. I guess I just feel that if he was bad, he would have voted for one of the more serious vote getters instead of voting for me. but I'd have to check the timing of his vote and how many were placed/left to see. When I saw his mom last though, she did say he learned everything he knows about mafia from SVS, so he might be more devious then expected

Bass, I understand that you have RL circumstances contributing to your gameplay, and I tried to make it very clear in my previous post (the one where I quote you a bunch) that because of your circumstances I insisted to myself that I find something more than just "he's a low poster" on which to ground what was (until my reread of you) mostly a gut feeling. The things I pointed out are my interpretation, base on your posts and actions, of what might be going on. I know you have RL stuff going on, and I empathise with you, but that doesn't remove you from the pool of possible baddies, and I'm not going to give you a pass because of non-game things. Sorry.Bass_the_Clever wrote:Canucklehead wrote:After a quick re-read of the roles, I think an alternative explanation for Bass' random fs vote (when he actually wanted to stay on the BR train and vote for me) is that he was targeted by Judge Doom. My vote for Splints wasn't random. I had a ton of shit going on that day. I had a little bit of time before I had to go spread ashes and then drive all day. When I got on I did a quick read of splints post which I felt like were flip floppy and I voted her. I have a question for you. The judge can use one of the toon patrol's votes do you really think he would have one vote that way and catch heat and possibly loss a vote he could use?
Doom can't be night killed so how is the night kill a threat to him?Canucklehead wrote:Bass, I understand that you have RL circumstances contributing to your gameplay, and I tried to make it very clear in my previous post (the one where I quote you a bunch) that because of your circumstances I insisted to myself that I find something more than just "he's a low poster" on which to ground what was (until my reread of you) mostly a gut feeling. Which is, again, not to say that I don't feel for you and your Mom going through what you're going through. I do. I really do.
So to answer your question, yes. I do think the Judge might use his power to "out" baddies. His role is a LMS win condition, and the baddies' NK is just as much a threat to him as it is to the civs. I know many players who choose (whether altruistically or strategically) to play Indys as (for practical purposes) civ-aligned, so there are definitely ways in which I could imagine that role being used to help the civs baddie hunt. I'm not 100% sure of it, of course, but it is a possibility that needed to be stated.
Well I'm sorry you don't. I mean how do you defend against people say "oh the judge must have forced bass's vote."fingersplints wrote:so you had time to read all of my posts but not time to give more than a vague couple sentence explanation? I don't buy it
If I had more time I would have been able to hear you out and possibly not vote for you.fingersplints wrote:so you had time to read all of my posts but not time to give more than a vague couple sentence explanation? I don't buy it

This actually seems like it could be. Doom doesn't seem to have anything invested in the baddie team winning, so he could use this to find baddies. It would be a good idea to look over both Day 2 and 3 lynches to see if there's anyone else who voted oddly.Canucklehead wrote:After a quick re-read of the roles, I think an alternative explanation for Bass' random fs vote (when he actually wanted to stay on the BR train and vote for me) is that he was targeted by Judge Doom. FWIW re Sophie this was one of the other alarming posts I saw. I thought the chatter about "so kill me, I'm civ And it will hurt the cause" was a little.. Unnecessary? Not that many were talking about her at this point to really make her a main lynch candidate, so it feels like an over reaction to me. I've done this before when I'm bad. You feel like everyone is accusing you but really it's only a couple people.Sophie wrote:why are so many people vouching for MP? that makes me nervous, first BR and LC, then bea, am probably missing soeone
whaths the rest of the people take on MP?
all i gotta say about me is im civvie, it might sounded that i contradicted mtself, but i just made a mistake i cant explain in the thread, im just saying the civvies will sufer a lot if i die, but, then again, it could help the case cause then civvies will know who to lynch next. im ok to being killed, i dont think i will be offendidly (thats probably isnt even a word) defeinding myself on the thread or pulling quotes and posts. Im civvie but if you dont wanna believe me its fine. I trust it will be ok in the end and the civvies left will do whats gotta be done
Nice point bf!blindfaeth wrote:Well and keep in mind doom probably submits the player they vote for and Maybe which role should do it. But he isn't picking the specific player, or else he'd know everyone in the mafia team.
Good point, bf! So he'd get a slow rolecheck of baddies out of it.blindfaeth wrote:Nice point bf!blindfaeth wrote:Well and keep in mind doom probably submits the player they vote for and Maybe which role should do it. Thanks, bf
What the what.Bass_the_Clever wrote:I know right. I can't believe all the heat im taking for that vote. LC what should I do?
Like, instead of Doom knowing all the baddies from the start, he'd slowly get to know them by making them vote.Canucklehead wrote:What's a slow rolecheck?

Not sure... I looked back to see if I had said something to Bass that it was in response to.Canucklehead wrote:What the heck is this in response to?Bass_the_Clever wrote:I know right. I can't believe all the heat im taking for that vote. LC what should I do?
Explain your vote! Buddying up to LC won't save you. Seriously if you don't soon you are most definitely getting my vote. you are playing the "poor me I have nothing to defend against" when you gave me even lessBass_the_Clever wrote:I know right.
