What the hell is your problem? I had/have some kind of stomach virus and I've been busy with PhD work. I've tried to put my time into this game when I can. Why do you always have to belittle my attempts to contribute? You always call rainbow lists stupid, you call almost anything I ever do stupid. I'm so tired of it. For now, though, I'm going to ask that we take this discussion out of the thread. MP, I have contacted you via PM, and I welcome a discussion with you. You can also feel free to vent to Turnip Head, the Mod on Duty. I think that we are all friends and we all respect each other, so we should be able to work this out. In the meantime, I hope people can still enjoy the game.
It's meant, in theory, to test the mafia's reactions in such a situation. Even better if the CFD would land on one of theirs.thellama73 wrote:Oh, yeah. I think you are less suspicious to me as you were to me in day 1, but a lot of my suspicion in you right now is predicated on MP/Matt flipping. You backed off considerably as Mp went to bat for you. Dropped off the face of the earth, if you will. But enough to come back and say you're up my asshole with suspicion, so there's that. Is there anything in particular you want me to respond to that I've missed, or am i just gonna stay in your crosshairs until you see me mislynchdd?

MovingPictures07 wrote:Hey all, sorry again for my behavior. I especially want to apologize to Epi, indi, and our wonderful llama host since it was their posts I lashed out against. I dun goofed by not going to the MoD and just walking away. I can't stress that enough; the Mod on Duty function is there and I think many of us, myself even included, aren't taking full advantage of its purpose. I want to thank Llama for hosting the great game and a big thanks to Matt for stepping in for me at this time. I'll be out for good now.
I absolutely detest getting stressed out by these games, but it doesn't seem to ever matter how much work I really have to do or how much I try not to involve myself in the game, it always eventually lands me in trouble now that I'm in the PhD program it seems. I just am battling some inner demons (and have been throughout the program) and I let my recent sense of insecurity with regards to my current (lack of, or at least that's my feeling) progress in the program spill over into the game. It's my own fault, really. I'm putting this in green because I don't feel it is appropriate for me to say anything else on-topic, but I realize that in the end all of what I'm saying will inevitably influence the game -- I wanted all of this to be said regardless. Even though I've flirted with taking playing breaks over the last half a year, I think I just really need to force myself away from playing for a while, get some perspective, and at least get through the next couple of semesters first. I took a couple of month break missing out on Recruitment, Champions, etc., but apparently it just doesn't matter because of everything I'm dealing with throughout the program. I just don't get any real social interaction in any aspect of my life right now, and you all are truly awesome and a treasured part of my life, so that's what keeps dragging me back into playing. I just really enjoy playing these games with you all so much. It's a weird conundrum.
Anyway, I'll be definitely around with Smashfest, other OT stuff, and I'm more than happy to host mafia games too -- that isn't nearly as stressful an experience for me. Guess I'll just have to exercise more self-discipline re: playing. For those of you who signed up for Turf Wars, I'll see you there soon.

I do not consider my case on you to be insubstantial just because it's based on tone. I usually judge people on their tone, how they interact with everything in the thread. The thing that I usually gravitate toward in games is concrete stats. Did this person vote this way because of this reason. I see save opportunities on day 1, but I find day 1 saves to be an aberration. My suspicion of you was hinging on your behavior and what I perceived as doublespeak in calling me out for making fluff posts when you yourself were fluffy as an alpaca. i don't like being suspected for little to no reason and I'd like to do what I can to change your mind on that, if you are in fact good. if.

They both, from what I can tell anyway, seem to be staying out of the limelight of the game; they haven't received a ton of attention and they're far from supatowning it up by providing opinions on players. Long Con's approach is very "makes a comment here and there, but commits to nothing major" IMO, whereas Wilgy is just being an enigma. I really don't understand where his opinions are coming from.
What do you think of them?

I want to give Matt a chance here, but I still think MP's actions reflected on his role, and I can't shake that feeling that he is just a frustrated baddie.
I'm going to agree with Sloonei's sentiment that I have been entirely focused on Mp and could focus my attention elsewhere.
Sprityo and Wilgy are suspicious to me.
Sprityo for offering no reason why he suspects me, except that he thinks I should be at the bottom of the rainbow list. Well sprityo, I think horses should be made of cotton candy. Doesn't mean they are or ever will be.
Wilgy has not offered anything in this game in terms of substance. frankly I don't remember much of what he has offered to the table. He seems wholly agreeable and that always makes me pause.

Scotty, this post makes me wonder about you. "More content = more power". I think it would be like you to do this kind of kill and then make a statement about it like that.
I am quite busy atm but when I get a chance, I am going to reread you.
Why does being lost and uncertain not inspire good feelings to you? The Mafia are the ones who know who is civ and who isn't, the civs are the ones who start out the most lost and uncertain in any game.Sloonei wrote:I should apologize for being so singularly focused on Scotty right now, but I don't really have time to develop other cases in depth at the moment. The town reads I expressed yesterday were MP, SVS, and Elohcin. All three of those still stand. Sorsha has been invisible and while I've only played a couple games with her so far, I've already come to expect her to be more of a presence in the thread. I should understand more than anyone right now the limitations that real life can put on Mafia activity, but she hasn't offered up any explanation other than feeling lost and being uncertain, which doesn't inspire me to read her as good at all. Plus her reaction to MP's fire drill both during and after the fact raise a few alarms. She was a willing participant, and then seemed to blame MP when the result turned bad, while also sayinn she herself should not be blamed because she's "just one vote". Seems a bit blindly hypocritical, unless I'm misunderstanding her stance on MP.
I will need to dig further if I'm going to come up with a third suspect. Everything else I've got is little more than unsubstantiated hunch-based suspicion, and that's not worth sharing.
Another day, another vote for Elohcin.Elohcin wrote:C'mon SVS...is it you? I think you're playing with our headsScotty wrote:Had a long day yesterday. Catching up now.
