Votes for townies with no reasoning or even calling votes. Does no hunting on his own. Gives no opinions when asked.
Dave or Nova might take a bit to figure out how we work here. Simon knows.
I got no problems lynching 10 year olds.
i didn't notice his lack of vote announcement, though. it seems like he didn't explain the reason for his vote after the fact either.
civ simon in vocaroo was kind of.... he was doing his own thing a lot of the time, voting for tink even though it wasn't popular to do so, later voting for radical fuzz because he asked to be voted for and he justified every vote, even if his justifications were strange. in contrast to his behavior in that game, voting for sig who was already a lynch leader looks odd.
SF now....
Round 1. Simon votes for Long Con, the second highest vote getter
Round 2. Simon votes for MP, outlier
Round 3. Simon votes for top vote getter, nijuu, saving Eloh from lynch, i don't know how but sloonei gets lynched instead despite only having one vote, Sloonei was mafia
Round 4. no vote, civ lynch
round 5, simon votes wilgy, creating a tie between wilgy and himself, no lynch
round 6. simon votes with eloh to lynch wilgy.
so.... i think i see what might be a correlation between simon's alignment and his tendency to vote with bandwagons
partnetrs were: malakim2099, Simon, Sloonei, and Serge
linki: now looking at the simon town game provided earlier by jay......
Day 1: votes boomslang who has 2 votes, and also jay who has 4 votes, i don't exactly get what's going on with this game but it seems like putting people in a position to be in a duel is the same or similar to lynching?
Day 2: he votes for himself to fight jay even though neither is popular
Day 3: he votes for boomslang to fight Golden even though neither is popular
day 4: he votes for himself to fight moving pictures, simon was not a popular choice in this but movingpictures was in a 3 way tie for second place
Day 5: he votes to fight his own mother in gladiatorial samurai combat. not a popular choice but we've all been there.
day 6: simon voted for boomslang and bullzeye, neither main choices
Day 7: simon votes to fight his mom again, against the grain
day 8: simon votes for himself and russ, russ is tied for second place
um..... this game is really long actually, i'm not even half done yet. i'm not going to keep going, because i already see a pattern.
based on these two examples alone there does seem to be some correlation between simon sticking to popular votes and being bad. i think the dueling civ-factions aspect of the game might muddy things a bit here though so i'd appreciate another example of civ simon for comparison's sake.

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 3]
Dunya, on a day when players could not properly defend themselves, why did you want to lynch a player who was talking and could defend themselves later rather than a player who wasn't here?

speedchuck wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2018 10:28 pm Oh wow that's awesome. Realm of the dead. Kinda wish we'd saved this for a later day, though.
And no-one died. I doubt that's the realm at work.
I am intensely unhappy with every lynch Dunya has pushed. I think mislynching someone and doubling down to lynch all the people that objected is ridiculous. I don't know what to do with the fact that people are buying it.
Quin is still at the top of my townreads list, beat out only by glorfindel
So Speed is pushing for a dunya lynch, as did Quin, however I don't think this is something mafia would do with the dead players being alive, it doesn't seem like a sound strategy.
Now looking at my wagon I believe there was at least two mafia members on it, the other wagon near the end was Tony, who had voted for Glorf. Which I think he wouldn't do if he was mafia.
Now to readdress my dunya point, I do think her case was weak and I did have a few posts saying that I didn't have good reads so I do think it was a weak argument which shouldn't have gotten so much support, if dunya isn't mafia then someone on the wagon is and I say at least two since I don't think they'd have all voted for me, but some did for sure.
The ones who stand out are LC, he voted for Mac as well which was a mislynch, Jack seems to be going after dunya for her vote, but he also voted for me which is odd, I see the case on Simon, but I don't think he should be a priority right now to lynch, and JJJ is really giving me some pings and I don't know how tinfoily that is.
linki: I can't tell if your nice or pretending to be nice dunya so I guess thanks?
It was very last minute, to the point last time I checked the thread dunya was the only vote on me, which I was going to ignore and I come back to have seven.
It was way to last minute to be genuine imo, and with this large number of mafia members and two indys I could see them easily controlling yesterdays lynch

civ simon in pikmin
day 1: no vote
day 2: votes sig, the top vote getter who has 10 votes, simon himself has 3 here
day 3: votes scotty who is the top vote getter
day 4: no vote
day 5: votes for boomslang the top vote getter
day 6: no votes
day 7: no votes
this particular avenue of analysis is starting to feel like a waste of time
i'd still like an explanation from [mention]Simon[/mention] for what made him decide to vote for sig

2) Simon is probably bad cause duh.

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 3]
We lynched MP in Vocaroo because he replaced out, or tried to (I can't remember if he actually did).Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 4:01 pm Somebody research the "bad replacements first" theory.
Between Street Fighter, Pirates and Miuntsins we ought to have a fair dataset.
He was a civilian. We lynched him under the impression that mafia MP replaces out of games frequently as of late, while civilian MP will continue playing. We were wrong.
In Mountain Mafia, I had to replace 5 players. 3 of them were mafia replacements. Additionally, both of the civilians who replaced out requested it. 2 of the 3 mafia members who replaced out were not requested, the players just went AWOL.

I believe the opposite. I'd rather lynch the no-posters sooner than later. They may eventually join and post, but the likelihood is low. The people who are here posting will continue to talk, so let them talk.
This was a more prime than ever situation to lynch a low-poster. The talkers couldn't even talk properly while the no-posters exhibited the same behavior.

I'm sorry, but I have a theory I go by and that is the odds of catching scum are better when you lynch someone with content you can judge and build a case for. I play mafia cos it's fun and because I'm competitive as hell and like to win. Lynching no-posters just so I can keep scummy-looking posters around so more people are talking isn't my thing. I lynch ya if ya scummy. I play mafia cos it's fun and because I'm competitive as hell and like to win. Lynching no-posters just so I can keep scummy-looking posters around so more people are talking isn't my thing.
I just like to keep the loud players around so I can disagree with them.
I disagree in this very particular situation.
I also saw nothing in sig from Day 1 that I wanted to vote him for, so I had no interest in lynching him Day 2.

I'm always wishy washy. That's my town meta and you should know it if you remember anything about whenever the last time you played with me was. I have been trying to be more committal recently, and I did stick to my suspicions of TSP, LC, and Speed on day 1 though I have lost some confidence in those suspicions now and am not really sure where I want to look next yet.rabbit8 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 5:42 pmnutella wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 5:30 pmLap's getting sassy up in herelapluie wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 5:14 pmGirl you killed himdunya wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 5:11 pm hi sig, i'm glad you're back. we missed you. i missed you. remember the last 2 games we played in together and everyone scum read you and I defended you till my dying breath? yeah, I miss those days.

I thiiiink I'm still seeing town dunya but she's barking up all kinds of wrong trees.
Who do you think is bad?
I just went through your posts and remembered why I thought you looked bad.
Wishy washy as fuck, no committal just blah.
I don't think nova or simon look good but they are also pretty easy lynch targets. Made has disappeared off the face of the earth so I'd like to hear from him. Marmot is sketchy but I can't put my finger on why. I'm wishy-washy on Quin. I still don't feel super great about Speedchuck or LC but slightly better about Tony after d2.

Sloonei, MacDougall and JJJ have played with mafia dunya.
Your best bet into sussing me out on here is looking into my independent game in the burglary I guess. Though that game pace is a pretty lousy comparison to full blown mafia games. If you're very interested, I can email you a PDF of the last scum game I played on RYM. It's 700+ pages long.

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 2]
So Dunya's case was good, which included me flipflopping on my opinion of you which she found scummy, yet you also wanted me to be lynched since I was "buddying." This makes absolutely no sense and is the scummiest reason to vote for someone you also try to throw suspicion onto nutella since she voted for me right around the same time you did. I had solid reasoning for why I didn't think you were mafia and you say it was just me buddying, this seems like an LC scum thing to do voting for a scapegoat on weak reasoning.Long Con wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2018 12:27 pmI don't recall voting for sig because he was wishy-washy. Dunya's case was the best thing I could make sense of in that thread, plus it even had an extra flavour of sig buddying me, which I'm most always partial to. I practically tied nutella for being the second voter, seemed like she was mere seconds ahead of me in both the vote and the vote-post. Don't know if that info is relevant to you, but that's how it happened.speedchuck wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 10:34 pm The Sig lynch was bad.
Dunya is bad for starting it.
1. Sig is always wishy-washy
2. Waffley behavior is a textbook EZ suspicion to put on mislynches, when it can really go both ways. Town can be genuinely uncertain as easily as mafia can be nervous
3. Sig couldn't defend easily, and this is a mostly brand-new suspicion. That's the reason I'd rather have gone with a D1 case. Now we're back to square one.
4. Sig's lynch gained momentum too easily. If half the scumteam wasn't on it, I will eat a Kansas CD.
Dunya replaced in, and her first action was to go through the thread, pick the easiest mislynch possible, and drive it home while Sig couldn't defend himself and no better cases could be made. Screw that.
