First off, I'd like to direct as many people as possible to what could be my magnum opus in terms of mafia posting, where I took a post explaining my complicated stance on Sloonei, (warily reading as town, but definitely not taking my eyes off of him) ran it through an insanifier, and sang the results into my phone. I then spent twenty minutes in Garageband making whatever the hell this is:

Fuck it. sig's all over the place. I'm re-reading interactions between him and Sloonei, and he's floundering like crazy. He might be weird, but not usually floundery. I want to have more time to look at the Lorab comparison before I make an uninformed vote in her direction. Pulling the trigger and vote sig. (Did I do that right? Friggin' tags.)

I'm not floundering? I'm just not playing super seriously yet, taking a more laid back approach. I also have very little to say atm, don't have many strong reads. ect

Someone mentioned me flipflopping on Sloonie or something, I think I explained that reasoning very well.

Mmmmk so my thought process is this from reading so far:

Sloonei takes suspicion for coming out Sloonei (guns a'blazin', that is) and for flip-flopping a lot. This thought crossed my mind as big fat WIFOM, but I'm thinking he's good and doing the civ thing right now. We don't have enough being said to not play around with words and cast suspicion in places for reaction gauges, so this appears more civ than bad. And it stands out.

sig is being weird and avoiding a lot of simple questions. Is there something else I'm missing? Or are people latching on to whatever weirdness they can get? I totally understand if so, but if that's all it is, I'm not inclined that way, either.

Lorab is, according to Jack, apparently acting like she does when she's bad? How so?

Ugh. Votes and decisions. It's amazing I'm able to play this game at all.

Also since Speed was lynched and revealed does that mean he's died twice? Since I seem to recall it saying you don't flip on your first lynch.

sig, your last few posts are talking about what could be happening in the other thread as opposed to what's going on here in the one you can post. What's your current read on Sloonei?

Sig is not a town read, but I'm hesitant to vote for him due to his reputation as being an easy mislynch. It does not help that he's been silent today too.

That is patently and logically false. “Higher likelihood?” No. It’s possibly possible, but not higher chance. I’m already under the impression that this tribe has *at least* one mafia member and maybe even up to 4. And my assumption would be maybe one person switching to mafia for their 2nd role out of the entire player pool. I hypothesize that most everyone would instead switch to civ so as to make the good pool bigger.
So as a matter of conjecture based on that, I actually have a higher likelihood to be town.

I feel like I've adequately stated my position on the matter if you read my progression.
My first comment was made on N2. Scotty 1.0 got killed. Which means we learned that the mafia was still going to kill on our tribe, it wasn't alternating. Now I'm on my last life and I want to lynch mafia. As far as we know, our tribe is the only one with mafia. Fuck, as far as I know, you're all mafia and playing me in which case I can at least feel a little better knowing I was running into a knife fight with chopsticks.

Scotty - The Lorab thing is weak sauce. I myself sometimes struggle with having solid reads, and can be hella reticent to concretely voice my opinions, so Lorab is reading as a town-read to me. Scotty sure is posting a bunch, but I'm not really sure what all he's saying. Plus, he hasn't yet posted a Survivor Mafia 2 in The Drawing Board forum. We should lynch him solely for that. May vote for him.
Wilgy - Good ol' unreadable clusterfuck-y wiggly Wilgy. I appreciate his defense of me against Sloonei's nonsense, but he's still one big question mark to me, way more than perhaps any other player. Probably won't vote for him.
Nijuu - Like his Sig vote, but still a bit of a blank read. I know that this is WIFOM soup, but considering that it appears that mafia remain mafia after losing a life, I can't help but wonder if they'd NK one of their own early on just to muddy up the waters. It's a dumb reason to suspect Nijuu, as I'm well aware, but it's why I can't really loosen up and townread him. Probably won't vote for him.

I don't think "forethought" comes into it. We weren't told that haiku gave the lynch-immunity advantage before the game, so if somebody didn't send one in, they could easily have an "oh shit" moment.

Hilarious thoughts while I'm reading this (mostly unhelping mudslinging) thread (meaning no offense - it's just mafia as usual):

What if...NO ONE was bad in our tribe? Perish the thought. But it would be funny.

What possible town benefit is there to bringing this up? At best, it's conjecture; at worst, it's planting a seed of doubt that encourages us not to vote, giving baddies a free day.

Mostly my own conjecture, since I like to just post my thoughts. I've really been bothered by the thought, though. Well, more bothered by the possibility of a very small number of mafia in this game. I'm seriously traumatized by last year's GoC and getting super mad IRL about it, which I don't want again, ever. But sure, perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned it. My intention was not to prevent baddie hunting - it was to post my now-thoughts, which I don't get a chance to do very often.

I think you're good. I think your getting worked up over people accusing you Day 1 (the usual) makes you look good (or the frustration is genuine). Still not 100% sure, but I could get behind a Wilgy vote. Based on posting patterns, I'm guessing either that he's bluffing or that Scotty/Blooper got a silence as their second role. I already didn't like his comment about killing himself before Bloops, and his response to my analysis of JoH was weird. He said I'd thought about Jack more than he had, then never responded why he thought Jack was good himself.

Therefore, I think a WIlgy lynch would give us good information. Imo, there's a not insignficant chance that he's bad, and if he's not, then I think we get valuable intel about Scotty/Blooper's targeting thoughts.

I don't disagree that comparisons can be drawn to LoRab in this game and Fiddler, but I would hesitate to pounce on them. There has been next to no consensus in this thread and very little in the way of strong reads from anyone. LoRab probably stands out as being the most off the radar, though, and that worries me some. She's provided reasons for this which make her absence understandable, but do not tell me anything about her alignment.

In a sort of answer to your question, Scotty, I have no reason to town read LoRab. I'd consider voting for her today. I'm not eager to settle on her for being the easiest target.

LoRab is the easy target. She's the player who's been in the background without contributing a whole lot and with no outlandish behavior. That's an easy target regardless of how much "information" we have to go off of.

Why is it so important to you that this tribe is responsible for the lynch?

We can exchange answers of why or why not. I asked you why it's important first.

So far we've had two nightkills and both victims were members of this tribe. There's a few possibilities here: maybe the mafia member performing the kill needs to target a player in their own tribe. This would mean the designated killer(s) on Nights 1 & 2 is here with us. This could be one person or multiple people. If there is an individual role as the designated killer, that person is here. If it is required that the mafia team rotate killers and that they must target their own tribe, then at least two baddies are here.

If the mafia team can target anybody with their nightkill regardless of tribal affiliation, then they could be picking on us as a red herring. Perhaps the other tribe is stacked with baddies, and they're focusing on us for WIFOM. Or our tribe is stacked. Or...

In terms of lynch viability, we have not been successful at producing any strong reads thus far. It seems the other tribe is doing a better job at bringing up concensus. If they're stacked with baddies, that's bad for us. If we're stacked with baddies, it's better that they lynch. If we're even, I don't hate deferring to the other tribe if we have another limp day.

I'm still feeling Boomslang frankly.

He used sig's comment about being 70% sure he submitted a haiku as basis for a vote. But frankly I don't see it in the same light he does at all. It looks more like a lazy civ than a lying baddie. I mean, if bad it would be to his advantage to just say, "I submitted a haiku" and hopefully avoid a lynch because of it. If he was civ, sure he could go doublecheck to make sure he sent it. I just can't see a baddie just lying in such a weird way. It looks more like sig being sig.

I'm also reading Kyle as Civ for the record, his questions are good and insightful and strike me as sincere.

The other person I am feeling baddie vibes from right now is Wilgy. He looks like Wilgy in Mountain mafia. In that game I felt like, whoa, Wilgy is playing it straight, no big schtick, this is weird. And I said so in thread and I got poo pooed. Oh I don't want to vote for Wilgy because he's contributing without a big schtick. So I dismissed it and thought that maybe I was just off base. Guess who was bad? Wilgy. And I am seeing Wilgy playing a straight game again. I could easily put a vote there today too. In fact I think I will VOTE DrWilgy aubergine.

I don't like the first "suspicion" because it's doing exactly what it accuses Booms of doing - latching on to a small thing for suspicion. I do, however, like her looking at Wilgy, and not ignoring big pings from her gut/past experience. So that's somewhere in the middle.

And...wow. There really are a lot of people who haven't talked today (or talked hardly at all), and two of them have votes and pretty significant suspicion (sig and Wilgy, as indicated by Marmot's tagged post). I doubt there are that many silenced. I know some people are busy, but this number of people being so quiet makes me feel less bad about voting someone who's not responding. Again, I'm not going to have too many qualms about what's too "easy" at this point in the game because of this. I won't be around for the end of the day (and I really REALLY want that nap, like now). I'm good with Lorab most, followed by sig, and followed slightly by Spacedaisy and Wilgy (mostly because they conflict with one another, but then again, might be a big pot of WIFOM).

Okay I'm starting to not make sense, which means I need sleep. Let's go again for vote sig for all the aubergines. I'll check back, hopefully. I'm really vacillating something awful between him and Lorab. (I literally just flipped their names in the vote like twice in that post, is how bad I'm flip-flopping.)

Mmmmk so my thought process is this from reading so far:

Sloonei takes suspicion for coming out Sloonei (guns a'blazin', that is) and for flip-flopping a lot. This thought crossed my mind as big fat WIFOM, but I'm thinking he's good and doing the civ thing right now. We don't have enough being said to not play around with words and cast suspicion in places for reaction gauges, so this appears more civ than bad. And it stands out.

sig is being weird and avoiding a lot of simple questions. Is there something else I'm missing? Or are people latching on to whatever weirdness they can get? I totally understand if so, but if that's all it is, I'm not inclined that way, either.

Lorab is, according to Jack, apparently acting like she does when she's bad? How so?

Ugh. Votes and decisions. It's amazing I'm able to play this game at all.

Also since Speed was lynched and revealed does that mean he's died twice? Since I seem to recall it saying you don't flip on your first lynch.

One is a response to Sloonei's suspicion. One is an "I'm not happy or mafia" statement. One is commenting on missing the deadline. The other two are commenting on this thread's relation with the other thread.

The problem is, sig isn't the only player with a significant lack of reads or observations on other players in recent time.
