And they trade for player's role abilities? I just glanced at the roles and I get now why you and Sloonei are Indy. Who's the third one?

Quin. He has come out defending Sloonei too and Wolbre made me feel like he was hyper aware of Quin. They don't start the game knowing each other's identities but through BTSC I am sure they have gone to lengths to figure out who one another are.

Now that the three of you are outed what do you do?

Do you try to use your indie confirms to shop yourselves to us as wasted lynches making you powerful Persian allies, or do you just side with Greeks. What would I do?

I'd probably side with the Persians, because otherwise the Persians will just kill you all because you're too dangerous as civs with all your gathered role abilities.

So we have to lynch you all.

The exact same argument I made AT LENGTH BUT NO ONE GAVE A DAMN when Epignosis was the "Indy who could choose a side" in Mass Effect. Same logic, that if they don't join the Persians then the Persians have to kill them, therefore they will join the Persians.

Maybe Macdougall saying it will get people to listen. Historically, no one ever really listens to Long Con.

It is baddie LC. I feel very confident in it. I've been in disputes like this with LC when I've correctly called him out before.
I'm in for voting LC. I suspected him on day one. With everyone's suspicions, why is no one voting him yet? [VOTE: LongCon] aubergine
I most prefer a sloonei vote right now which is where I sit.

Golden wrote: Thu Apr 26, 2018 3:22 pm LC 'I'll call people out for making a statement about me, but it's a waste of time for me to demonstrate they are wrong'.
I don't believe that me finding a game or two when I was Civ and you thought I was bad is going to change anything. I don't have time to go delving into the Museum of Mafioso just so you can stick to your guns.
I don't either, because a 'game or two' is certainly insufficient to demonstrate that 'I'm wrong about you far more than I am right'. It just demonstrated I'm not always right.

I'll cop to that for free. I wasn't playing in the GoC, but if I was, I wouldn't have been calling you out as bad before your slip. I never claim to be always right about you. I'm not even always right about MP, and I read him right nearly every time. But to suggest I don't read you well, generally speaking, is an untruthful suggestion.
I hear what you're saying, but right here, right now, really flies in the face of that belief.
Well we'll see about that. I've always said I need three or four full days to get a handle on you, I haven't had that yet, who knows where I'll be then. I do admit I can see both sides of this one. You are doing some stuff that looks very much like your baddie self, but I'm not going to pretend my opinion is impregnable. You fit least well in to my team of four, and there are aspects of your play that remind me of genuinely frustrated town LC.

If sloonei was lynched and came back bad, I'd certainly have other fish to fry before I came back to you.
Probably not Long Con after Sloonei.

These four read quite team-compatible to me. Lots of links between their behaviours that could make sense. I’ll elaborate when I get time but generally pressed for time on long explanations right now - but anyone else who feels like grabbing the ball, I think this is a good set of four to examine in the collective.

Hi man
I have reservations about Golden being town as well, but I do feel confident about Sloonei being mafia, so I plan to revisit Golden after today's lynch. That is assuming Sloonei is lynched. Honestly, part of the reason I think Golden could be town is the way I watched Sloonei treat him on Day 1, would only touch him with a 44 and a half foot pole.

MP and LC have a heated argument, spilling over from my interaction with LC. It lasts for a half hour and then both suddenly drop the hostilities and keep their votes on each other. Neither will get lynched today

He explained that he wanted to lynch Colin. That's the plan.

I would love a bit of an explanation here.
MP and LC have a heated argument, spilling over from my interaction with LC. It lasts for a half hour and then both suddenly drop the hostilities and keep their votes on each other. Neither will get lynched today
I love your brain.
Agreed. This is beautiful.
Also, MP said he was moving his vote to Jack, but didn't.

Either way we need to lynch Persian today so the Persian faction isn't the easy choice to join.
Rest assured you are fine
Can you explain the plan regarding people piling on the Colin lynch? You mentioned this earlier and I don't recall seeing you explain it to me. I just assumed you knew what you were doing
I voted for Colin because I had he and Sloonei as scum buddies and I was directly talking to Sloonei at the time of making that comment, who was going after Colin himself despite me feeling they were compatible and wanted to see how he would react to Colin getting a ton of votes to see if I still thought they were compatible afterwards. Sloonei didn't offer that much. Which was a bit odd given he voted for Colin. So I thought it was a bit of a tell that he wasn't very excited by my suggestion. I also have slightly more reservations about Sloonei's mafia alignment than I do about Colin's, entirely because of you.

tl;dr if Sloonei is Mafia and Wolbre is town, this is all your fault Wolbre. We might only get one shot to lynch a Sloonei and you were his voice in the wilderness.

I think Colin's team simply doesn't have the energy or motivation to try and dig him out of the wagon pit without doing something brash tbh.
The longer this game has gone on the less I dislike Slooneis play. Not that I necessarily LIKE it more, but it's shifted itself away from a gut read scum to a somewhat educated null (maybe leaning scum slightly?)
I don't really know if I can soundly say I think Quin is maybe a scum because they mentioned that they had limited time and were behind and catching up (They may just be responding as they go?)
Long Con: is this you

My mild scumread of wolbre continues to diminish the more I read this person.

Quin subbed in less than 48 hours ago, so I think that's why he's behind.

Sloonei is an excellent mafia player who will own you soul if you aren't careful.

A neat segue.

I have Jack, Kyle, Spacedaisy and Speedchuck as null. Spacedaisy gets a birthday pass (not for much longer). Very strange for that remaining trio wouldn't you say? I can't point at anything but my overall feeling towards them all is that they are:

a) Not their usual selves
b) Flying under le radar
c) Very nice boys

Dom Marmot wolbre04 would also like your thoughts. And anyone else obviously.

No. Now that I read the roles.... they're both Indy. Massive protectiveness by wolbre is clear.

Speedchuck was more active than the other three, as I recall. For whatever that's worth. I just don't see him in the same category.

M Plus 7 wrote: Thu Apr 26, 2018 3:58 pm I'll move my vote back to LC for now. Before I left I was afraid I was unfairly tunneling him, but having returned to all of this and seen subsequent posts from him, I don't think I was. What is bugging me right now actually is this post, which LC made right after I left earlier today. What bothers me about it is specifically the second section the most, where he simultaneously is backtracking on me but also doubling down on his perspective that I'm strawmanning. It reads inorganic and forced, like LC's trying to still be consistent in his suspicion of me (which mafia tend to do) while also putting his foot off the brakes a bit.

[VOTE: LONG CON] aubergine

I'd still like to engage with Jack though. ;)
Yes very much a scumslip by the Longest Con right there. Dragged his buddy MP down with him if I do say so Dom. I am 100% feeling what you're putting down.
