It isn't. One perceives the change of heart and then judges the authenticity. I have questioned that in your case on multiple occasions and in this one occasion for Scotty. The language employed during the change and the posts referenced among other things facilitate these inferences.

For example, you at one point quoted two portions of one of my posts in which I said the same thing and used them to justify your wavering on a point -- such that your interpretation was so bizarre as to seem fabricated.

This makes me think it took DDL longer to get his pick in and therefore longer for Mac to write his role. It makes sense he is 3P so that it doesn't mess up the balance of the game. I believe him.

I'm trying this hard to keep people off 6 for a reason. I thought I'd played it smarter than I obviously did. I never expected people to lemming their way on to an option that was so obviously mafia-favouring. But at this point I'm sure that's what has happened.

I didn't want to say this outright but at this point if I get nightkilled so be it. It's a cool role, but it's a waste of time if ends the civs game.

Hey guys I'm a survivor role. Don't lynch me.

I also have the ability to bring some of the vanished players back which could be useful to town.

My initial reaction to this is one of concern. This came one literal minute after Colin posted a huge ISO and vote on DDL. I am also being asked to believe that DDL made nearly 100 posts without even knowing what he is playing for.

This is a game which by design encourages tomfoolery and shenanigans -- including silly fake claims, WIFOMs, and why the hell nots. DDL, you are a terrible soccer player.

My plan was to play like a civ on day 1. If I got a civ role, no problem. If I got a baddie, I'd shut up about it and reap the benefits of being legit uninformed for a while.

Well that plan didn't work much, since people started voting menin droves in day 2. But getting a survivor role went against it too. A survivor should claim asap. So I did the most obvious thing and claimed.

A survivor shouldn’t claim ASAP.

The most useful thing most survivors can do for the town is to take a nightkill for them. By claiming early, a survivor removed this possibility and sets up a scenario where the town will take a nightkill for the survivor instead now that the scum knows not to shoot the survivor, which hurts the town.

Additionally, it is known that survivors are scum at mylo and mafia can false claim survivor.

The correct townie response to an early survivor claim (unless the survivor claims something like rezzer) is to lynch the player who claimed survivor.

Well, I’m a survivor, too, so don’t lynch me cause that will “guarantee” we don’t lynch mafia.
