But he didn't claim to be vanilla, did he? Illyria claimed to be Vanilla Civ when there were none in the game. I don't recall reading that, Zeph was talking about other roles... wasn't he? And I think he didn't really say they were vanilla, just cooler and splashier town roles, and more mundane ones. Sorry if I have that wrong.

He said "if lilefer had an important role like scum or a town role." Suggesting some town roles aren't important, which I guess you can interpret your way. But to me it sounds like he thought there were townies without anything.

That's still way different than claiming to be one when there are none to claim! This is not a Vanilly Situation. If you really suspect him then you're going to need more of a case than slight ignorance to roles in a closed setup.

Your targeting deal with him makes for nice deniability, tracker or no tracker. I'm claiming now because from experience civs leave survivors alone 90% of the time. And so does mafia. Both things are important.

Well I need to release a certain number of vanished people in order to win, so if you leave me alone I will do exactly that.

If you lynch me you are guaranteed not to lynch a baddie.

And if you lynch me it's possible the vanishings may become permanent.

As for hunting with town, I can see a number of reasons to do that. First of all, it's fun, and there is nothing else to do here. I don't want to play another CC123. Second, a town landslide win would expedite the end of the game, which is good for me. Third, now that I claimed, I need you people on my good side, so not helping you guys is not an option. Fourth, I have a versed interest in finding the civs, since my wincon requires distinguishing them among the vanished ones. And fifth, if again a landslide win is happening, a bigger percentage of vanished people will be civs which again is good for me.

DDL, if your wincon is to survive til the end of the game and to also release a certain number of vanished civs, wouldn't that mean you technically benefit more from a longer game since you'd have more opportunity to unvanish people?

i'm sorry if i'm not taking your accusation seriously enough, but I don't think you've thought it all the way through. I mean I get the idea that letting it be known that I'm targeting quin with something else would cover for a kill target in the case that there is a tracker, but it would do that at the cost of letting everyone in the game know that I targeted someone who was going to die later? which seems like bad strategy to me. the only problem that strategy solves is problems it created in the first place, while also creating a bunch of new problems.

Sprityo is currently at the bottom because I can't get a good read on him through his "bop it" role playing. I don't trust people who I feel are hiding behind their role.

lilefer: i've never played with this character, and they haven't posted much, what they have posted has had content but i'd like to see more, they alkso haven't posted today at all. pretty null

jackofhearts: jack reminds me of Mortal Kombat Jack, and i can't pinpoint exactly why. he spent the early game of that one doing meme posts with emotes, cus he was tired of... idk something. i think it was being misread? but ultimately he still contributed. this game seems to be leaning a little more towards roleplay than activity. though he has leaned towards the other way recently. he seems to be taking the meme aspect of this game in stride. he could be bad, gth i don't think he is.

ddl: my read on ddl is directly related to whether or not his role/alignment claim is correct or false, he claims sig will return to us at the end of the day so i think it's worth waiting to see if he's telling the truth. even if sig does return it doesn't gaurantee the rest of what he said is true, but it's a start, and a datapoint. the possibility that ddl has a role that can both vanish and unvanish people is a real possibility that shouldn't be ignored or forgotten but idk. that's something to deal with later. his emotional response to being poked at today seemed genuine, and also if this were some weird baddie gambit, it's one he's going to have to commit to, and this is going to be a long game. so i guess we'll see.

coliniscool: lots of genuine seeming content and work towards solving the game. he seems... feisty? bouncing around picking at peoples scabs. je doesnt' seem afraid to ruffle feathers and i like that. i still dislike his switch to dunya to tie the day 1 lynch up in a way which excluded eloh. i still need to review that section to see if things were as i remembered
