Golden wrote: Mon Jun 18, 2018 5:13 pm Sig - it wasn’t a message. Quin said he’s giving it a Quin 100% reliability.

I keep going back and forth on what I think about Colin. Today pings me all over again.
Let me assuage your fears, big guy. Ask me anything.
What has your approach been to reading the thread this game?

What is your gth read of all the players?

Did you kill Nutella?

Are you cool?

Do you have any ideas about how we unvanish people?
If I see something that looks false or incompatible with what I think a townie ought to be doing, I say something. I ask questions to get a feel for people, their logic, their opinions. Also, I was too eager in U-Pick to award civ credit to scum for basic faking or even null behavior, so I’m trying to not do that.

I’ll have to revisit this one in a second as I am on mobile, but here’s some: Mac seems town. Epignosis not sure. I think I’ve picked up on all the stuff between you and Scotty which, if I understand it, bodes well. Quin would have to be in the middle of a gambit to lie right now which seems kinda dumb. I don’t think I trust sig and that’s where my vote would go if I had to make it this second.

I did not kill nutella.

I’m okay.

Wild guesses? Some roles are a 1-shot rezz, or maybe the night polls gift certain abilities, maybe if you win more than one. Other than that, no clue, nothing my role deals with.

GTH:

Scum:
-Sig
-Epignosis (this is mostly tinfoil)

Town:
-Golden
-Scotty
-insertnamehere
-Quin
-nutella (getting vanished at night at least seems to confirm that)
-Mac
-Daisy
-Turnip Head

Null:
-Lunalee
-Zephyrus
-Lapluie
-Kylemii
-Choutas

The null players (minus Zephyrus) really should speak up.

Once again, I feel like I'm in a position where I either reveal details about my role, or let myself get lynched.

This is the most frustrating goddamn situation, as even if sig, Quin, and I are all lynched, one after the other, the thread still won't know if Quin was telling the truth or not.

So, it's either sig, the dude who was literally voted as the most trustworthy person during the last phase, or me, who pissed off Golden and Scotty.

And there's a very large chance, IMO, that this is entirely pointless.
You didn’t piss me off, I’m just seeing similarities to GoC, and I’m more inclined to trust sit over you in the Non-alignment arms race of nonsense (A.A.R.O.N.)

Oh — my job is pretty boring and low key so I refresh the thread every little while and try to keep on top of the most recent developments, starting from where I last saw it. I’m not able to ISO effectively but I can stay in the loop at least.

sig are you saying you are unlynchable?

You said something earlier about not dying until d3. What sort of role do you have?

Are you the terminator?

And if you are, are you from the first or second movie?

His individual posts feel like they hold merit but then it sort of feels like he vanishes. Colin just called him a 'null read' because of how much he hasn't made any impact and I agree with that fact. Compare to Ancient Greece where he was the opposite. I think he's very good at replicating the questions he asks in his town meta (U-Pick like this too), but they feel like they don't go anywhere quite the same.

For now it's just a small ping, or more realistically me telling myself I need to pay more attention to Kyle now.

Also, everyone went for coffee without me and so I am faced with a dilemma - go by myself or stay in a cranky mood. What's the best option?

My current thought is that INH is Super frustrated to be in this position and is probably bad and can’t really defend.

I think Daisy is having an equally frustrated game but she’s posting like she’s had her back against the wall all game and she hasn’t. It’s a little abrasive from the get go and doesn’t let up.i don’t think a civ Daisy warrants that much vitriol.

Sig is rather off th wall and goofy. His recent posts seem to threaten that he’s got something up his sleeve and I’m not sure what to make of that. His recent posts don’t make me feel great about him, but nor do INh’s.

So.

This is how I felt earlier but on reflection I actually think it's a product of feeling like this has happened several games in a row, and in that context it makes more sense. I know she's been feeling generally frustrated about the way some of her recent games have gone.

Because that’s all we have to work with. Without reveals, we only have information dumps. If that’s all the info we’ve got to work with, then so be it. Otherwise it’s playing Tetris with a joystick as a quadraplegic

I think INH gets this frustration as both alignments. It's definitely not 'town-leaning' because I've seen it when he's bad but I'm not sure it's mafia-leaning either.

How about this scenario? She’s fed up with being suspected for bullshit, and when she finally rolls scum again, she has the same thing happen. Do you feel she wouldn’t be as frustrated in the situation if she were bad?

Like I said, I felt that way at first, but on reflection I think it's NAI. I think she would feel just as frustrated being suspected for the same things as town.

Winning and losing doesn't remove that frustration of feeling like you are consistently suspected for the same shit reasons - it's like me being suspected for bringing up my own meta when I do it basically every game.

Voting sig.

If he’s the townie of the two, he’s honest and he won’t die anyway.

If he’s the baddie, chances are time will make him more powerful and it’s a lie.

I see it as a probable win win in terms of testing his honesty, at least.

If he’s the baddie, chances are time will make him more powerful and it’s a lie.

I see it as a probable win win in terms of testing his honesty, at least.
But if he’s unlynchable and civ, then we all just wasted a lynch.
If inh is lynchable and civ, we wasted a lynch and reduced our numbers.

Wasting a lynch is a bad reason to keep someone alive if you think there is a decent chance they are bad.

If I'm town and I can't die, why lynch me? Or maybe I'm town and lying about it so I can't get lynched. Either way the idea of lynching me since I said I couldn't be lynched doesn't seem townie.

“Doesn’t seem townie”? Using a lynch on an unlynchable civ, if that’s what you are, is the worst thing for a scum. It keeps people in the numbers game which is key. Really weak.

And this is complete bullshit

I called your bluff and now you're worried.

Glad I called it.

I think there's a decent chance you are a baddie who gains in power over time, and you're trying to delay being lynched for some reason. You've made claims of being indestructible and said you weren't worried about your campaign putting a target on your back for that reason. You said you weren't worried about being lynched because you won't be lynched. But I can smell the fear on your breath from here.

Also it would be a waste for it to happen right now, better to wait let more people vanish then try it out. Believe me.

Well based on Quin's odds alone there's a 50% chance which is higher than average, right?

And I do think, based on gameplay, it's more likely he is bad than inh.

As I said, it's a win win.

Either you're an honest civilian and you survive, or you're a lying scum and you die.

It's daft to say I'm either paranoid or tunnelling.

Here was your response to my rationally explained vote (which I pointed out I felt was a win win)

1) Confusion
2) Saying it was an anti-townie mindset
Now
3) Saying I'm paranoid and tunnelling (even though I literally just threw out this vote a few minutes ago).

You're pulling out all the stops.

I don't know you are bad, but you aren't filling me with confidence.

I think ignoring this is a bad look. It's pretty much the most fundamental question.
I give you a confirmed scum between sig and INH and you lynch Quin instead? Weird. I could be a cop for all you know.

These are the two reasons given for this. Also no way quin can be cop since he said he got a letter. So which is it?
