I don't believe it is possible. But I checked the original game on the show, and it is in there. I did wonder if trading of tiles was allowed on the show but never actually occurred and the rule was just a vestige of that which doesn't make sense in the circumstances.

This was an error in the explanation that I took from the show. It doesn’t apply in this version of the game. Let me state this definitively: there can only be one winner, and tiles/cubes cannot be traded.

Interesting idea. Clearly an 11 beats a 9. I think it used to say something about whoever got to 10 first won, but that doesn't make sense and now INH has altered it. I think it's worth checking whether this is true or whether the winner would be whoever achieved 9 first.
