I voted for JJ because of reasons we've already talked about. I'm voting now because I'm going out tomorrow morning and don't know when I'll get back.

wat? lol, i am not a killer, and i don't know who is. It surprises me becasue there was some suspicion on Sorsha, i kinda suspected Sorsha. Suspicious folks are odd targets.

Orly? I had her as the 3rd member of the Shawshank personnel, so killing her would mean that the sisters have monopoly over the baddie NK's. :mafia:

Actually that is where i had her, too, tentatively. I guess it is a culture thing~ where I learned to play it is considered bad form to NK other baddies, rude if you will. So it surprises me when people do it. But I know people who started playing here tend to think differently about that, and even though i know it, it still surprises me when it is done.

let's hope not. If we are right about Sorsha, then you are likely right that they have both kills, and they have been doing a pretty good job, especially since i don't expect Sorsha or Boo were likely to have intentionally NKed baddies.

Why do you think A Person specifically asked the SK to kill me, but not the baddies?

And i am not sure, tbh. I do not like to do it, for instance. but in grimm, Llama talked me into it when we were teammates. So it is possible, especially with no concrete info. So a reread of both Mongoose & Sorsha will be a good idea, and i plan to do so later today after i get back from a booze run :)

Search me...

One other person I was eyeing, but felt like carp about it because I've done the same in the other game, is Bullz. :\ It's his comments on my take on the SK and then his very dubious vote for me that made me see him as Boo's equivalent in the sisters.

You said the SK was civ-friendly, I disagreed. What's wrong with that? Calling SK's civ-friendly is like calling cigarettes lung-friendly. Also I kinda think the SK might be dead (or a non-traditional SK, I could see Epi labelling someone as a Serial Killer and not making them a typical LMS role) anyway since we've never seen them actually kill anybody.

It was your phrasing and the reasoning here...
Just in case I forget, I'm throwing my vote on Lizzy. Her comments about SK's really caught my eye, it seemed like she was almost trying to encourage people to leave the SK alive. I see no reason why a civ would suggest such a thing.

In all fairness your comment bugged the hell out of me too, hence the vote :p I haven't seen anything else from you that's caught my eye though tbh, for that little while I thought you could be a sneaky SK but now I doubt it. I don't see you, or anyone really, holding off a kill for 8 nights.

Linki @bullz: Yeah, but few of that group were part of both days' pushes (remember, I wasn't lynched on day 1, only because I saved myself). One of them was muy bad.

Well I'm all in a kerfuffle. It looks to me as if JJ is probably going down today, but I'd be interested in looking elsewhere if anyone seems inclined to. Even if Elo was right, taking down the Sisters isn't nearly as important as getting rid of Boggs.

Going on a shopping trip, then I'll be back and think about who to vote for.

Erm, Boggs is a Sister... ;)

Epi: Do team members' kills get passed down if/when they die? Sorry if this was already addressed in-thread and I missed it.

I would think the optimal scenario would be to lynch Haig and, in turn, knock out the entire Odd Night team on an odd day.

I agree about getting Boggs, it's just that looking for a specific individual is a bit difficult at the moment. A teammate would do just as well.

If jjjjjjjjjjj is being lynched today and he's a baddie, my god he's the most stupidly brilliant baddie I've ever seen. His vote for BWT who has been targeted by the sisters is the best proof for that thus far. I really really really think he hasn't been paying attention because I have no idea what teammates would let him do that.

Why priority is being given to lynching Sisters when they don't kill tonight?

Then again, my question to Epi still stands. That hasn't been asked by anyone else yet, has it?

I do think you had a point about eliminating the other team but have we had confirmation that the Sisters won't just pick up that kill? If they don't then I definitely think you're right that we should take out the last of the other baddies.

Hmm, I've not seen a game where 1 team inherits the other team's NK on top of theirs, but anything's possible; worth asking about.

I was under the impression that since the kill is tied to a role instead of being a team thing that that kill just goes away now that Mongoose is dead, but that's just my best guess.

So MR, if I may ask, does anything make you think Bullz is bad besides that he helped get you lynched the first time? I always enjoy a good revenge vote, but I'd like to understand if there's a case the translates to the rest of us.

You may.

Prologue mentioning of boo (in agreement) and Mongoose ("randomization" = excuse for distancing?). Continues to downplay the Llama v. Mongoose situation on Day 1. Pushes a theory that I was "saved" by a team (even though in reality, I saved myself with 1 vote), then backpedals, saying that his theory was something he said only to gauge the reactions of other players. The "Kinda shocked at how the votes piled up on you but you really haven't helped yourself." is very boo-esque. He becomes subtly defensive of boo on a couple occasions prior to his lynch, but eventually throws the final vote on him. And then there's obviously his voting record aside from that. In fact, the only hesitation I have about calling him the last Shawshanker right now is his vote in the Mongoose lynch. Then again, none of how that vote went makes sense to me.

Do hosts not let the players know when teams have been eliminated on Syndicate? That would be a new thing to me, as it was always host policy on LP and (I think) Rev.

Is that what you're getting at, or are you in the camp that is thinking the Shawshank NK is no more now that their lead killer is dead?

Either way, I think those are some pretty big assumptions to be making.

The hosts never announced when a baddie team had been exterminated in any of the games I've played here.

Also, I think you might have missed this:

I said Boo's idea was interesting and that's literally the only time I mentioned him until the second night of the game.
How is it distancing to vote for someone on day zero in a poll widely believed at the time not to be death-related? Not to mention my vote truely was random.
All I 'downplayed' was the idea of Llama and Mongoose having accidentally admitted to having btsc. Clearly they didn't
My point about you being saved had nothing to do with your own vote and everything to do with the fact that the next two votes after I voted you on day one were for Lizzy, tying the two of you up until Boo cast a vote for you and you saved yourself. Notice I refer to a 'save attempt', as in people trying to save you.
I never said I was trying to gauge reactions. My theory was something I agreed with, but thought that if it were true your teammates would have challenged it. Or anyone would have come up with a reason why I might be wrong.
So... Boo was coaching me? Or do I just ask my teammates to make posts through me? Maybe Boo and I have similar styles or opinions. I dunno, I've played like 2 games ever with him. I really was surprised at how many votes you got, but you really didn't help yourself. I stand by those points.
I don't think I've ever defended Boo. Agreed with a couple of his opinions, yes. Guilty. But I also disagreed with him about the whole 'first time players always get btsc' thing.
Point out any one player with a good voting record. The fact we've lynched mostly civs suggests nobody has that good of one.

I still think John is bad.
Why?

If you vote for John, I'll vote for you, and I was planning on leaving you alone today.

That I did :derp:

*Epi: Disregard my previous question

Not really a clear indicator either way. I'm still wary. Maybe Bullz is just a case of me seeing what I want to see based on my day 1 read of him. :/

linki @Bullz: My new voting record is impeccable so far. :noble:

@Bullz: I thought SVS voted to tie Lizzy and I, then boo voted to put me back ahead of her, then I voted for Lizzy in hopes I'd live?

SVS, I was a bit confused when I read that. Do you think A Person is baddie? I'm not sure what you're getting at.

This is probably one of the most cogent cases I've seen you put together. :p

Lizzy, why are you so against voting JJ? This may make me change my mind.

Yes, but when SVS cast her vote, if you and Boo hadn't voted then you and Lizzy would still have been tied. Therefore it could be said that the two people who voted Lizzy and not you (FZ and SVS) after I put you ahead may have tried to save you. That's what my theory was and is part of why I voted for you when you got lynched.
