"Surely he has no idea who we are and is bluffing. He'll get lynched eventually anyway. Oh he's nowhere near either of us on the map anyway."Dana wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 9:22 pmI mean it makes complete sense to me. They know that you know who they are and if they kill you then you can't tell us. I don't understand how that would be dumb of them to do. Am I missing something here?MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 9:18 pm The other team won't waste a NK on me. That would be hilarious and dumb.
Well this has been fun, glad you were entertained, guess I'll [VOTE: speedchuck] aubergine then.MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 9:31 pm Thank you for at least entertaining me Dana I appreciate it.
Yeah, lynching anybody but me or DH today would be a "stab in the dark," am I right?MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 9:05 pmOne less night kill to reduce the total numbers every day. Civs much closer to victory. Just annihilating the other team early on leaves us sitting ducks.Dana wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 9:04 pmI don't understand, why can't you kill the other team to let your own team have an advantage? Or are you saying the hosts wouldn't let that happen?MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 9:02 pmIt's a numbers game. Can't let any team gain too much of a numbers advantage. The board is set up evenly right now.Dana wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 9:00 pmSo if you guys knew who they were why haven't you been NKing them?MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 8:58 pm The Corrupt Remnant have been brilliant. One died by our hand, one by the info of a lie detector. The other two will win if you don't leave me alive long enough to help you.
Also I only worked out who they are for sure literally today.
I know, but I had to have a go.MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:07 pm Epi you trainwreck I wasn't actually an admitted Mafia at that point.
Might. I've already been through some evil win conditions though. My most recent ones are neutral(ish), so I'm hoping I come around to good ones soon.MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:01 pm I do not know. I doubt the town can with with Epi whose role might rotate into "Adolf Hitler" tonight.
Dana wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 8:54 pmMy very first mafia game I had civ BTSC with a different person every night and DH was mafia and convinced me he was civ and I hardcore trusted him the whole entire game until the very end when I learned he was bad all along and it really messed me up. Now I am wary of talking to anyone ever. Also I don't "keep saying" I said once that I want some friends, I just want to make sure they're good ones you know?
Yes exactly this about the role names. And also I am not lying, I can't speak for INH but even though I've been near people, I had no way to know who they were and I didn't want to trust chance, so I've been trying to lay low map-wise to not get killed.S~V~S wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 7:22 am Also Juliets role sounded pretty good, and it wasn't. She was most def bad. Portalman didn't sound particularly sinister, either. I would be leery of lynching people based on role descriptions.
I gotta say I am not loving people lying about being alone. I have not spoken directly to anyone but the host since Night 2.
This is true, which is why it didn't feel sporting to me to have my win condition change and change and change after that. I'm glad you said what you said about me playing with the hand I was dealt. It's the exact words I've used to just carry on.MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:13 pm Might I add that if it wasn't for being told that we had a new team member that we needed to send information to in order to prevent him accidentally killing us this wouldn't have happened.
I mean I agree it's not great but I think we still have a chance especially if Mac is telling the truth and I think he is. If speed flips jagged blade I don't see any reason not to listen to Mac unless he's secretly corrupt remnant or there's some other sort of crazy manipulation going on but like occam's razor you know? And yeah I don't think anyone else has been silenced yet.sabie12 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:12 pm Also in regard to all this stuff mac has been saying it all doesnt sound very good if theres only 4 of us left it doesn't sound like we have very good odds then siiiiggghhhh. And DH was silenced which is interesting since no one else has been silenced all game have they?
I can confirm the first item and the items that mention me. I cannot speak for anything else.MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:25 pm For the uninitiated:
1. I am Jagged Blade. So is speedchuck, sorsha and juliets (obvs).
2. We killed Turnip Head.
3. We didn't kill Kylemii.
4. Epignosis stripped my win condition on night 2 so I can't win as Mafia.
5. Epignosis as The Hunger joined our team (at the time we didn't know it was him). We were given the chance to send him a message to prevent him hungering us. Someone (not me) sent him a message that effectively revealed all of us to him.
6. Epi left the team and then info dumped our names to the thread.
7. I by process of elimination due to being able to see most of the players positions every night have worked out who the Mafia are.
8. I know there are alternate wincons around.
9. I am asking you to let me live til I am the last Mafia standing to give me long enough to maybe find a benign 3p win con. Which I already have been searching for and have a clue on how to find.
I thought he was civ till sig flipped the role I thought Mac was.
It's a fun read.colonialbob wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:40 pmAs of right here I'm down with the Chuck.

Ok but like isn't this how you'd act if his claim was true?MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 7:00 pm This is a dual faction game. The twin factions are only part of the enemy. There are always indies that are as bad or worse. Epi has admitted that he is the secret hidden possible mafia aligned civvie killing indie. Lynch it.
MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 8:23 pm I don't think Lorab was Mafia. There are two left and I know who they both are. Lynch Speedchuck, then lynch who I say after that. Then lynch the other one. Then lynch me. Then civs + Epi win.
If he can help us get more mafia that we otherwise wouldn't know about and isn't a threat to us anymore I won't vote to lynch him right away either.
I'm not voting for him out of principle. It has nothing to do with what he can offer. Mac drew a crap hand and had the balls to bring it in the thread anyway, and then was gracious enough to step down when it was good to do so. I admire that.
So I believe all of this up to 6, not sure I believe 7, 8 is pretty obvious, and 9 is "lol nope" levels. Like I've seen too many baddies (usually SK of course) pull the "you need to leave me alive to have a chance" and it turns around and bites civs. I mean, you do still presumably have a night kill which is not a town friendly thing. And I mean shit you've already said you can't win as long as Epi is alive which may or may not be that much longer since he's not necessarily a town-friendly indy.MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:25 pm For the uninitiated:

Well that makes sense and I hope he can gain a new win condition also but if he even if he does he is still jagged blade and the civs can't win unless he dies (or does him getting a new win condition change our win condition too? idk)Epignosis wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:50 pmI'm not voting for him out of principle. If he can gain a new win condition from the map, I won't stand in the way of that. If others wish to lynch him, I won't stand in the way of that.
Get better soon speedchuck. Positivity definitely headed your way.MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:56 pm Speedchuck is unfortunately very unwell and is going back to the hospital today so please keep him in your thoughts and direct positive energy his way.

That's why it's right for me to stay out and let the civilians decide on that matter.Dana wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:59 pmWell that makes sense and I hope he can gain a new win condition also but if he even if he does he is still jagged blade and the civs can't win unless he dies (or does him getting a new win condition change our win condition too? idk)Epignosis wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:50 pmI'm not voting for him out of principle. speedchuck is a good man. I've just not gotten around to the commentary he gave me over a year ago with my book, and it's helpful stuff. Great guy. I hope to meet him some day.MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:56 pm Speedchuck is unfortunately very unwell and is going back to the hospital today so please keep him in your thoughts and direct positive energy his way.
So you're saying that you don't believe that he knows who the other mafia team is? If he is just trying to survive until Epi dies and he gets his win condition back, why would he out himself and his team and not just continue pretending to be a civ?colonialbob wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:57 pmSo I believe all of this up to 6, not sure I believe 7, 8 is pretty obvious, and 9 is "lol nope" levels. That said, I'm willing to hear what you have to say tomorrow, and I don't think you're necessarily an auto-lynch or anything. But I have a hard time figuring out how eliminating a NK is a negative thing for town.
I believe he has a better idea of who the other team is than we do, but I don't think he has some iron clad 100% knowledge, no. He outs himself because Epi already outed his team and once speedchuck gets lynched (which already seemed on the way to happening) he's the obvious next suspect. So outing himself and convincing us he isn't a threat is the best play to keep himself in the game. I just don't believe it's as purely altruistic as he would like to pretend.Dana wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 11:06 pmSo you're saying that you don't believe that he knows who the other mafia team is?
