the game would essentially end (practically speaking) in the same phase whether or not eko is alive or dead. if there's no kill tonight then the smart move by default would be night killing eko the next night but other than that it seems valuable to hang on to it or use it to reduce PoE? Unless the most important thing is taking me out of the PoE asap then killing eko is fine, I guess.

epignosis is the player who can be killed with the least impact on the game if he's civ, but if he's mafia it may become self evident. if I get killed by the mafia or an assassin for holding on to my publically-known-about murder flamethrower too long then at least it wasn't someone more important.

You've already open claimed, sharing your target list is much more beneficial to town than scum because town has info roles that need to know if they can trust their info. Scum (usually) doesn't - they don't really care if they blocked the wrong person two nights ago.

Not off the table, but I think forcing a civ to vote mafia is more likely (if they're trying shenanigans).

I looked at the list of today’s offerings and initially thought, “Wow, I could lynch all 3!” I don’t feel that way now, but I can see a townie having done this. Seems OP if a scum could ensure no scum get lynched.

I've been struggling with that, in a lot of ways.

If we were all town, would the host allow it?
If I was a townie, would I select these three? (Without the knowledge I had.)
If I was scum, would I pick these three?
Could this come from the same place the insanity came from?

I don't know, is my final answer. I hate the ability and wish it hadn't been used in any case. While I can see town or mafia using it, I think between the two it is more likely TOWN. Why? Because Mafia would LOVE to make us lynch out of three near town-lock players, and yet they picked the three most suspicious players that were actually active (not enrique).

It was me. My role is Monica and to invite at least 4 people to a lynch party. After trying my best to get the opinion of who I believed to be town and taking my own thoughts into consideration, I chose the three current poll options as well as Jay. Then Jay was killed. I asked Epi if I needed to choose another invite and he said no, it will be as it is. Jay and chuck were my top suspects of all. I really felt with the list narrowed to these we would get a baddie for sure. But now, as we already got jay before the poll could even go up, I am not so sure. I feel bad, but the consensus was the people I picked. I know several people were happy with the three choices at the beginning of the day. Now, at least we have gained info through role claims and can move forward from it.

We also have forced Kylemii into a make-it-or-break-it scenario, and with Sprit's help we have more info than ever.

It could have turned out better, but only because we had a scum die off early. It's cool.
