Day 0 is a courtesy phase to ensure that everybody has time to receive their role and check in before the start of Day 1.

Since you're here elaborate on that vote
I think DDL got snagged by a booby trap. No lynches are horrendous, and I thought it looked evident that speedchuck wasn't serious in his recommendation.
Eh the thing is that I kind of see a reasoning for it. Na.ely this game has a bunch of cops and they all act in Night 1/2. So No Lynch would reduce the chance we lynch our own cops and hopefully give us a headstart in ability usage. It reminded me of the Jester Game we do in NF.

Of course the price we pay for that is a civ night kill, so I'm not entirely sure the move is profitable. Would like to see a discussion on it, though.
There is only ever one scenario to vote no lynch and Day 1 ain't it.
I just described a different game as an example but logical reasoning doesn't work with you, so I won't insist.

To add to Jack's above thoughts, DDL could have just voted as a disapproval and then moved on. A vote can be just as throwaway as the original line. But he's panicking, doubling down then retreating, trying to sound justified, etc.

I don't feel like I'm the authority on this, as I'm the one who baited the trap and might be biased, and DDL was the first to respond, but he definitely looks worst at first glance.
What do you think of admission of messing up? That doesn't looking someone trying to sound justified.

Don't really see an issue with the rest of the content in this ISO. Lots of off-topic stuff but that's cool.

True. The quoted post is pretty decent. DDL's going for a hard reset there, not trying to sound justified anymore.

That's the problem. I DID set a trap. Traps can catch town too, and DDL often looks scummy as town.

I have some town pings from them, but I mentioned something scummy as well. If it continues, their need to cling to and buddy Nova will easily outweigh any town cred they have.

When I casually drop pro level mafia terminology like "Chainsaw defense", just wait until I pull out the big acronyms kids Image

To explain again what I meant, a chainsaw defense is when you defend someone indirectly through attacking someone else. I found this notable because JJJ didn't really make it clear he town read speed chuck until someone jumped on him, so it looks opportunistic.

We got one.
Agreed that this entrance was awkward, especially in hindisight with his no lynch proposition

But then you proceeded to shade like 3 other people so I'm going to ask you how serious you are about this slot.
Is there a quota on how many people you can shade? I'm a proponent of the shade every bad thing you see and no neutral law. I'm not sure how the number of people I shade affect my seriousness, especially since you agree and see the same thing I do.
Ohohoho, someone's a little defensive. I was just trying to get clarification on what your read was on him was. Or anyone else you shaded.

Reads please
I'm currently beefing with Rundon'twalk and Soneji. I'm not really buying the formers concern with Jay sticking him as good early on, and the whole "he knows I play the same as both alignments" is whack. That has never stopped people from forming read, let alone gut ones. If what he claims is true and Jay knows him well, he should also know Jay well and that flinging poo early on alongside sticking people with an alignment based on first impression is his bread and butter. I think I talked about Soneji's entrance sometime earlier.

The whole no lynch thing is hilarious, and I'm more intrigued by DDL jumping on Speed than the latter making that claim. I took it as him messing around, 'cause I don't believe for a second that he's serious about it.

I can't say I'm a fan of you calling out the vote on DDL, nor throwing around fancy words like "chainsaw defense". Feels like over-compensating
If that was a bait post it's a pretty bad one. A player with low presence makes a very bad suggestion and then leaves. I can't reflexively blame someone for voting for that. I will blame a player for jumping on that player without explanation.

[VOTE: JaggedJimmyJay] aubergine

I don't know speedchuck or his meta or whatever but he town read and defended him far too soon. Also switched his vote to a player who isn't active instead of pursuing DDL

did you forget that you were townreading that player
No. Because I'm not.

I have some town pings from them, but I mentioned something scummy as well. If it continues, their need to cling to and buddy Nova will easily outweigh any town cred they have.
Can you point out how I'm trying to buddy Nova

Do you believe that JJJ was defending a teammate, or that he knows I'm town because he's not?

Can’t say it did.

This is up the wrong tree at best.

Speed didn’t need Jay to defend Speed from something that a bunch of players would think makes DDL look bad and doesn’t make Speed look bad.

One could more easily argue that this post is indicative of you and DDL being scum together.

You're mistaking defensive with constant offense :keys:

I didn't like his entrance so that's where the shade is coming from. I figured he was messing around with the no lynch 'cause I know the dude, and I didn't really see any motivation behind it although I agree that it's whack. Been feeling good about him with his recent reappearance, we're mind-melding.

That's the easy way out. I'd have let it develop and see what shakes out especially if it's between players that know each other and you being new. I mean didn't it cross your mind that he might have been messing around, and it can't be that easy?

What's your stance on all three of them as of now?
