I don't like Lux's tone defending herself I guess. Feels like shes more worried about dismissing accusations than contributing, or something like that. It's a "mean" demeanor she didn't have in the previous game, where she was more loose and friendly.

But that's all gut, and I'm seriously worried that I'm letting the fact people are voting for her color my impression of her. It's just that for a lot of those cases, I look at the person and think "yeah, no, don't wanna lynch". For Lux it's more like "sure why not".

In answer to Sloonei, I don't get Cooler's focus on the Ultra post so Cooler can you explain why you picked that post out of everything else we've talked about to focus on?

I'm liking what I see from Jack now. These recent posts very much remind me of civ Jack. The point about Sloonei self-resolving is a good one Imo.

What do you think of Nutella?

I'm seeing wishy-washy nutella which in my experience is town nutella. I am not clear why she is carrying so many votes other than her view of sloonei which is...wishy-washy. I probably missed some other reasons for votes in the three pages I had to skip so I'm going to try and skim the iso's of the people voting for her.

Jack I just read through your ISO and I'm glad I did. You have a consistent and persistent view of nutella as scum and most of that is just as you say above, you think her reads are fake. Help me out though, I didn't get a good feeling as to why you think they are fake. Is there some thread that runs through her reads that you are seeing? Why would someone create all fake reads when it would be easier to just give reads normally using whatever methods she normally uses to scumhunt? Have you seen her do this before (create false reads in a multi-mafia game)? I don't know if I'm articulating my questions in a way that make's sense but could you give a stab at answering me anyway?

I left off my dialogue with her last night after she had explained her early suspicion that nutella and I were bussing each other. We would have needed input from nutella at that point to carry on any further. I never felt totally satisfied by any of Lux’s responses, but she explained herself well enough that I didn’t feel my suspicion of her increased.

It’s like if you have a test you know gets false positives sometimes and the test comes up negative. You’re more trusting of it than a test that historically has false negatives and false positives.

Except DDL did fool me in Flags so this is probably dumbish but oh well I was forced to give this read.

She was my teammate for Mass Effect and I never coasted. I recently soloed two mafia wins after my whole team was lynched with pure WIM.

This game has a good cast. There are invariably going to be some solid and prolific players who have rolled anti town here because of how many anti town roles there are and they will be trying to control the narrative... because they have to.

Concurrently if you are a civ and can give top effort I want some balls to the wall here. We aren't winning this on info. Civ voices need to dominate the thread. I want 150 pages. I want a bloodbath of analysis. I am going to be ruthless if you are phoning it in and I expect better of you. You know who you are.

Perhaps he is one of those players who have rolled anti-town, and that's why it's on his mind.

Also he suspected Epi for giving out town reads which is something town Epi does and actually I believe Mac did the same thing in scrimmage.


Mata has checked in only to laugh off Epi's statement of suspicion of her and to provide some slank cover.

When I originally stated my reason for suspecting MM I said it was because he was focusing on mechanics and that there were parts of that discussion which specifically pinged me. Even disregarding the small specific pings, which both he and Lux dismissed as weak and I concede that they were, I still suspect him for the main reason of generally focusing on mechanics. That make sense?

It's an easy thing to talk about that isn't developing reads on other players. It's a way for scum to look productive in the thread without actually driving the scumhunting process.

I've talked about how that works even if I'm scum in a single scum team game, but it doesn't matter (A) because this is multiball and (B) because I am town anyway so I don't have any reason to fake anything. I feel like you have seen my defense about this a zillion times in different games and yet it's all you can accuse me of. Just deciding you don't think I have real reads. There's no substance to it. Explain your thinking.

We all gave him credit for his Felicity proposal out of the gate, but if I put my scum-colored glasses on when I look at him, I can argue that he conceived of that plan in pre-game and posted it here with no regard for his alignment. He’s done (by his own admission) relatively little since then, which is underwhelming to say the least. He has returned to case speedchuck a little and I’m interested to see where that goes.

Any more general thoughts that @Ultra has about the game would significantly help my read of him.

I would like to know what your original vote was about then, because it seems like what you were trying to project by asking everyone to give their read on me was that you already had some suspicions and opinions. Or, you just had a gut read.

I'm not sure how I wasn't supposed to get the impression that you were suspecting me, so explain what that was about.

As for my reads - suspect speedchuck. Soft agree that cooler looks scummy. Voted Juliet earlier but that wasn't going anywhere and I think I'll have to ISO her again to sort her out. I'd like to question Mac more.
