like I definitely don't always mesh well with people's playstyles but I try my best to adapt/accomodate/be flexible even when I don't agree and I feel frustrated when there is genuine unresolvable conflict between my playstyle and someone else's; being difficult to work with really isn't something to be proud of

I don’t think I’m particularly difficult to work with for people willing to meet me halfway tbh. I do usually make an effort to meet people halfway, and I’ve generally not had any issues with people willing to take an open minded approach

Where you seem to be actively happy/gloating about watching people struggle to get along with people from 451. Like I understand this post is not meant to be taken 100% seriously but I also think it's clear that there's some element of pride and enjoyment in your community bucking certain mafia norms and therefore being harder to integrate into for outsiders

I've given you plenty of chances to try to communicate your ideas to me though, like I asked you about your vote on Amy, and I told you to give me an interpretation of your behavior that justifies your actions, and you just haven't done so because you prefer to post GIFs and use AtE to try to get people off your back rather than offer any kind of coherent defense or explanations for your actions. I don't think I have mafia dreams very often, my dreams are usually fairly absurd and often nightmares

It’s just funny watching people encounter players like elli, chess, Urist, Star, etc., who play different than the “norm” or “standard” way of playing
It’s not, like, a gatekeeping thing or whatever, and I think we’re pretty decent on the whole about trying to help newcomers figure out what’s going on
It’s just entertaining. In the same way seeing someone play with rabbit or tutu or joe is, for example, cause they don’t play the “standard, normal” way either

I often feel like I end up being so aggressively orthodox a player that I end up being unorthodox because lots of people agree with my ideas about how to play mafia in principle but are hesitant about implementing them as seriously as I do in practice (eg. most people would agree if you said you should pretend to play the way you play as town when you are mafia, but I think I take this idea a lot further than the vast majority of mafia players do)

Have u thought about a connection between consistsnt nightmares and lucid dreams? At least for me theyre very closely intertwined. I think every lucid dreams starts with a sleep paralysis / nightmare and the absurdity comes from u not realizing ur in control, while "normal" dreams its like ur just riding the train on tracks u dont interact. These are all just theories tho i havent read books about this

I don't have lucid dreams my dreams just all tend to be absurd but also frightening. Like the last dream I had that I remember (I don't remember most of my dreams) was of a weird toxic streamer guy (xqc) driving a car I was in while I was in Japan and the place was being flooded by a tsunami, then I got out and onto dry land but the sicillian mafia were having a shootout with the monks at the temples and I was caught in the crossfire
just stuff like that, a mishmash of extremely intense, vivid and often scary elements that combine together in an absurd way when viewed after you wake up. I also dream about some scarier/more triggering stuff but luckily that's stopped happening as of late

i burned out after i think 4 games? it's just too hard to keep up when i rarely have a solid few hours to dedicate to mafia.
and when i do have time (like now) i do end up reverting a little and being more cooperative. so i'm not a total degenerate.

I like this playstyle, it's more or less a combination of what I find works over the years I've been playing mafia. I think tutuu earlier said something like "being called boring is as personal attack so why aren't you mad about that" but the truth is that being called boring in any game I've played or know more than the faintest bit about is secretly codeword for being called good. You will never see bad, ill-thought-out strategies being described as boring. Boring is always used to describe strategies that are mechanically efficient and present no challenge or risk while winning extremely consistently. Once I thought about that I realized that in general boring is used to describe things that I don't really mind doing because I don't see what's bad about them. Boring people are people that don't take risks, are productive and efficient in whatever they do, are predictable and other traits I find to be good and virtuous. This isn't to say that I intentionally try to make myself a boring person I just think that the word boring despite having a negative connotation is very often associated with traits like efficiency, consistency and predictability that I consider virtues and try to cultivate in my personality and playstyle
so this general philosophy makes me feel broadly better about nutella describing me as such and also about the general "unorthodox orthodoxy" of my play

TH's post seems broadly NAI? Like it's obviously AtE (because they're not providing actual reasons for me to believe they're town, just begging for mercy in a way) but that's something both alignments would use when they feel like they're being suppressed.
