Why would the Rogue go out of their way to interfere in a mafia member's night action or protect a town member? That doesn't make sense to me. They need to scumside here because if they want to have any hope of defeating the town they need the mafia KP around to shoot into the towncore. One possibility is that the Rogue can win with town somehow, but I will discount this possibility since it is unlikely, and if it is true then we don't have to play around it because we'll win by default. The other possibility I can think of is that the Rogue charges some kind of power by interfering with night actions, and they targeted JPIC since he was the most likely person to do a night action yesterday (he's almost certainly mafia, and there's no real downside to sending him out to carry the kill or do nefarious deeds since he's expendable at that point).

Good point. Then it's more likely that some kind of rolestop was applied to tutuu to protect her from having powers used on her. Which doesn't seem to fit with my "Rogue is charging up a power by negating night actions" theory, since I think Alison, Mac and Hally are all better hits for that.

What if this is some kind of night action falsification, sprityo style? JPIC doesn't visit anyone, but someone (the Rogue? A mafia member?) either reads that Wilgy is a tracker, or wants to frame him because they see he's in a few people's POEs. So they target him, and the host sends a misleading message to him. The original message could be simple mod error, or more likely, the night action falsification effect causes Sloonei to send two messages, with the fake one later.

I think this is real and he really did grill Sloonei about what he's allowed to say. So then the question becomes if mafia members/Rogues would have a "no roleclaiming" tag on their cards for authenticity. If we think only townies have claim restrictions, then Samu is town.

@staypositivefriend re: your question last night here was my thought process on holstering.

I have x number of shots. I decided to use one on N1 because I thought I might get chopped early and needed to use my ability. I thought Mac was most likely to be fingered for the kill and therefore most likely to be doctored which would likely save him from other abilities so I chose Alison. (As it turned out I should have chosen Mac).

On N2 I saw things a little differently. It didn't seem likely that I would be yeeted because I had some strong town reads and it didn't look likely that I would be NK'd soon because there were so many galaxy brains the mafia would be after, including a galaxy brain with a power role that had broken the game open. I felt like I would more likely be one of the middle tier people that made it further into the game. And I also felt like later in the game I'd have a much better idea where to use my role, so I holstered.

As it turns out I'm glad I holstered because now I have much more knowledge about who to protect. I will probably not make it to mid game but meanwhile can play a fairly important role instead of playing a guessing game with where to use my power.
