Re: Escape From Russia [Day 3]
no. arete is an obvious villager for how they treated tony. their progression from finding tony sus/voting him to then getting cold feet and switching because of how people who knew tony were saying he was town isn’t wolfy. it’s totally in line with how i’d expect town!arete to handle that. also vul locked arete as town. we aren’t killing arete

The fact that I had a better meta read on TSP without seeing any of his scum games just makes me wanna snap nanook and not even think about it
His D1 was entirely off i don’t get how he thought TSP was town

Well I’m basically lock cleared off my tony progression on D1 so I’ll take my ticket to DVC

The relevant reason to TR arete is Vul, not their handling of TSP.

Re: Escape From Russia [Day 3]
As far as the TSP misread goes
Shit happens
One person in my towncore being wrong is not totally unexpected, it happens. Especially lately tbh. If all the mafia were in my towncore you can mock me in post, otherwise this “nanook has bad reads look at TSP’s flip lulz” is a bit much. Like...it’s one bad town read on a player that was playing largely to his meta, so. Meh.

My point wasn't to belittle you, it was to point out that from a meta standpoint, I thought he was very different and you thought he was playing exactly to his meta.
Sorry if it came off the wrong way.

I mean
Tbh I still don’t see it even with his flip, I thought he was still within town meta
But obviously there was something there I missed, I’ll chalk it up to a blind spot to try and fix moving forward

Just started working on Tony's Iso for spew and this is now my favourite post in the game.TonyStarkPrime wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 11:17 pmI saw game 8 don't expect me to believe thisAsh Lael wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 3:16 amI'm Australian.NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 3:05 am Also you’re British yeah? Or do I just have that in my head cause of your avatar
I probably won't do any meta-diving.
In terms of confidence level, there's the inside view and the outside view, right? From the outside view I understand I often have bad, overconfident reads. But from the inside, when I really lock onto a read I can get ultra convinced of it to the point I can't really comprehend being wrong. As my presence in this game attests (I was so sure Dya was scum...)
So yeah. Expect me to be slightly above rand in accuracy but to talk like I've seen everyone's role cards.

Arete makes 1000 times less sense than 112 at that EoD
not sure how I feel about 112's flip on Tony when looking at that EoD
i wanna say it's villagery but maybe I'm massively underestimating them

Both Epi and 112 are pretty convincing with their stuff. I did like 112's "you fools

also I obviously don't want a rand

i need to rebuild my confidence and stop letting people push me off my reads
now, with that being said, if my post on Arete still gets ignored, let's do a little thought exercise
does anybody want to tell me why TSP would tack on this sentence here :

gth reads without reading the thread, but a few tone-posts from each player here we go
112 - w
Arete - t
Ash Lael - w
DrWilgy - t
Hally - w
Long Con - t
Michelle - w
NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME - t
Poison Chan - t
tedxtr - w
TonyStarkPrime - t
TripleHaven - t
tutuu - t
Vulgard - t
my poe is
112
ash
hally
michelle
ted
i wanna say my strongest town reads are nanook and longcon tbh. my weakest wolf read is ted, so i will not vote for him until day 3 at least.
the person i think most likely could swing w from my t reads is vulgard for possible tmi, but i will eventually read up (or not) see what he has to offer.
high poster hally in a vacuum should be town, but i felt like she was gaslighting us with questions and content which she doesn't really build from. like they're prods and questions which she doesn't really care about one way or the other.
don't really know much about tsp, except he didn't like one of my posts and i like that reaction. no idea if triplehaven has posted yet, i'll get there.
wilgy im giving a soul town read to.
It's a decent looking poe though. Neither of arete or vulgard. I think scum who's skimming would throw one in.

Those are the ones that saved Tony on Day 1.
Also, sorry for not being around last night, I was playing Risk 2210 at a friend's house until 3:30 in the morning. Now it's 8:30, and I got my kids off to school, and I'm going back for some more sleep.

Re: Escape From Russia [Day 3]
Epi's case doesn't move things for me a ton
wolf 112 never has that progression on a mafia partner, it lacks TMI imo
what kind of wolf makes a random comment on their partner, wolf leans them and then they make a post to a town voting them saying "he's voting a misyeet"
that happens like 10% of the time and it's done by a very specific type of wolf archetype which 112 does not fit
I believe the simple argument to refute the tony progression is that they liked the 2 solving posts but they still had meta with tony and they could've genuinely liked their posts in thread. Between the time I asked 112 about her TSP read and EoD I believe were 6 to 8 whole hours, and also when Tony started getting town read just for poasting.
112 still town, Hally's progression on Tony looks a lot more wolfier and I'll walk people through it much later if need be.

Meta + lack of TMI when approaching Tony.
Wolves don't have that progression on a partner. Certainly not 112 either.
they've been villagery outside of that as well.
[mention]Hally[/mention] why'd you vote 112?

Re: Escape From Russia [Day 3]
if you're gonna have wolf reads based on "they haven't been villager-y" in a game where 75% of the time people are villagers and wolves play like wolves and have agendas then your read ~probably is wrong.
