Re: Bike [Day 1]
I have no past experience of feeling annoyed at you, I was talking that it is a general towntell.
I think part of becoming the strongest player you can possibly be in Mafia is overcoming your own annoyance at other players even when your ego would be at risk if you are wrong (eg you being Mafia here and fooling me like that).
We will see if you decided to play it out like this as Mafia (I would have no qualms over it, fair play, I would just be surprised because most people don't do that. Color me impressed even.)

Re: Bike [Day 1]
Why?
I hope you are town because if you flip wolf, this is gonna look really bad on me.
Elimination by possible associations exist.
How is Guillo funny? Im asking because i may be quiet the comedian without knowing, a natural!Dyslexicon wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 10:50 pmOh yes. I read that. And I think it also gave me some pause.
I don't know much about this game right now, but Sean seems fine, Guillo is funny, I think Nanook kind of wants to town read certain people, which in turn is towny, I hope Radish is town, pretty ok with Epi probably. Something like that? We're all town etc.
It's all pretty vague D0-1 stuff. Please do drama so that I can come back when there is drama.

I dont believe that this mindset will be resourceful or fruitful for u
Most people have established the way they wanna play, u will have a very hard time convincing someone to change their playstyle, and applying general blanket tells on ppl will not result in accuracy imo
Like yes, sometimes u do apply general stuff and thats normal gameplay but u gotta think of the context of the specific person and u gotta consider that every person has their own idea of proper mafia gameplay which is often completely unique from anyone else's!

Re: Bike [Day 1]
Some behaviours are likely to have negative results for the town, but when you get to know the guy, it becomes NAI.

Re: Bike [Day 1]
"Someone willing to be unreadable on purpose" is not an accurate representation of Marmot's town gameplay despite him describing himself as such. There is a dose of exaggeration for the purpose of making a point, his words are not literal. When talking in a casual tone u often exaggerate in social situations. Marmot's literal self-description of his town playstyle would be "I tend to focus on getting accurate reads more so than getting myself townread", I'm pretty sure.

and each of us are more than different personalities. the best example i think of offhand is that one of us named eleora has BPD, and her personality is fluid and unstable as a result, but her thoughts, hopes, dreams and hobbies among many other things are hers alone, they are not things that can be confined to a personality, they are a part of her identity. the name of the diagnosis was changed from multiple personality disorder to 'dissociative identity disorder' to reflect as much.
memories being shared or not isn't something any of us can predict or understand, i feel? but i did not know yin made that post until i read the thread to that point and memory gaps like that are something i'd expect to be a common occurrence in this format. we are using notes as a means of communication to facilitate understanding in place of memories, but that is something that is a regular part of our lives, it is not exclusive to this game.
Do yin always use advanced language to materialize their thoughts?

Re: Bike [Day 1]
Assuming Made flips scum, I'd have no idea where to go next. I buy Radish's reaction. I'd feel bad for getting Tony coz he is townsiding regardless of alignment, so if I was in Tony's shoes and if I was town I'd be upset at tutuu for misyeeting me. I see no problems with jules. So all my PoE disappears and there are still 2 wolves left.

The other thought was that I'm still not sure how good Epi is as wolf, I got mixed answers, Marmot said worse than his town game, LC and jules gave him almost max points, even if i deduct some of those points to account for friends giving more points because of friendship im still left with contradicting answers. Id would be cool if he is mafia this game and he can post so towny

I don't agree on @Made's read on you and I don't like his vote for Guillo. (I think Guillo is just not used to our culture and site norms and plays differently than those of us who have played games on this site before.) (I think Guillo is just not used to our culture and site norms and plays differently than those of us who have played games on this site before.) I don't see anything in Made's posts that makes me think "town" so he is a candidate for my vote today.

It's not semantics, he responded that with a wold mindset.Long Con wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 1:55 pmThis is getting too far into the realm of semantics, and it's pretty common for wolves to muddy the waters with semantic arguments just like this. I don't see anything wrong with what Epi did. In games I've played here town players apply pressure all the time to get reactions to help them make reads. I think this is the wrong road to go down. If the vote is for some other reason please tell me about it.Guillotine wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 1:32 pm I havent caught up yet so my vote may change
[VOTE: Epignosis] aubergine
Hence on MAKING THINGS UP to apply pressure.
Sure we apply pressure based on hunches right? Which only exists in our guts. But at least they come from somewhere. If you are making things up to apply pressure, reads generated from that are corrupted.
Your vote is noted.
