I love it, thanks for sharing!Made wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 6:26 pmLet me share with you a story Michelle
A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry, and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious stone and asked the woman to give it to him. She did so without hesitation. The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime. But a few days later he came back to return the stone to the wise woman.
“I’ve been thinking,” he said, “I know how valuable the stone is, but I give it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious. Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me something more precious. Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me the stone.
If i think that what made her give the precious stone was her beatiful soul, now what?

Re: Bread Mafia [Day 0]
The scum part is in the way you are active, with not a lot of thought per post you are responding to. It's somewhat based on the quality to quantity theory of scum players. Innocents are often found to slow responses when something is making them think, or when they want to start building a read from the ground up, and spend a lot more time thinking. Which leads to the quality of their responses higher, this is a read that does need more experience of the player to be solid though.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 6:31 pmwhat's scum about the style of the commentary?DaughterOfOmega wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 6:29 pmWell I was talking in terms of a scum playstyle, not anything to do with maturity or age.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 6:28 pmthat's extremely troubling since i am like 15 years older than herDaughterOfOmega wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 6:25 pm JaggedJay has fallen into a very scum commentary style for me. okay. you don't know me, but i am notorious for making really thick, well-formatted, dense posts filled with rationale and thoughts and logic and blah blah. that goes for both alignments.DaughterOfOmega wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 6:35 pm The scum part is in the way you are active, with not a lot of thought per post you are responding to. this time i cannot be assed. i wouldn't enjoy myself doing that. i encourage you to assess the veracity of my reads rather than the number of words in them.

I used to go by AoBenjamin in 2015-2017 on a place called 2+2.
In 2016-2018 was where most people know me from, where my name was changed to BenjiAO.
In early 2019, I was slowly transitioning my gender, and now I go by Rach or Rachel most commonly.
DaughterOfOmega is a reference to my original online tag, which was SonsOfOmega, in which I shared with my brother. It means a lot to me, and as I no longer am male, I don't maintain the Sons part anymore.
If people were wondering who I am, it's not like I was hiding it, so I find Nutella's post somewhat awkward. If you are too bring up who I am, why would you not say it? Just is annoying to bring it up in that manner, as if it's bad to be known.

I don't mean to be rude so I hope it doesn't come off as that.
If you think someone is hiding themselves in a mafia game, you might want to respect that and not search for them, it kind of defeats the purpose if you think they are doing that.
In my past I was never someone who cared about their "private" life, so don't worry about me.

btw my reads are tutuu is probably mafia but i promised not to vote her. with either michelle or spf, they both seem scummy but I think its more likely Michelle because they give off a more serious vibe when this game has been more chill.

1) @staypositivefriend A big part of your scum read on Michelle is her OMGUS behavior right? Do you think she wouldn't OMGUS as town?
2) I am astonished that people think they can tell whether or not Mac is scum based on the posts he's had so far and invite anyone with a solid read on him to share your reasoning.
3) I'm seeing some chatter about tutuu scum. tutuu is in my towncore. What's the case on her?

Re: Bread Mafia [Day 0]
like it's not a solid read either way atp but based on his content so far, compared to everyone else's and for the reasoning jay pointed out, he's >rand to be scum

Re: Bread Mafia [Day 0]
quick thoughts on everyone here:
alison - i know that alison is capable of playing a strong scum game, but i honestly haven't gotten pinged by any of her reads or her progressions yet. i suspect that alison!scum is the type of scum that needs to play with a forceful agenda to steer the town into the improper direction, and the fact that i've found myself largely in lockstep with alison's progression is something that bodes well for her alignment.
i also suspect that alison wouldn't be shielding jagged as hard as she did as scum - jagged's approach in this game makes him more "pushable" than he typically is, and it's kind of hard to imagine alison!scum coming straight into the game townlocking him when the potential for him to get pressured + pushed on was extremely high. this would only make sense if alison/jagged were a team, but i dont think they are
daughterofomega - gth i actually find the way she came after alison so hard kind of town indicative - there was a level of conviction to her push that i suspect daughter!scum might not be able to replicate so well if she rand'd scum. the rest of her posts are null and i dont feel like i could comfortably townread her atm
koba - koba is extremely at ease & extremely happy to be in this game - i actually really liked the fact that dk "peaced out" from the day 0 discussion in spite of the fact that important stuff was still happening - i think that koba!scum cares a lot about thread control, and capitulating to the consensus of everyone in the thread and relaxing until d1 starts is something i expect koba is much more likely to do as town than scum. townlean
ellie - i kinda liked her post about esooa and her general tone feels "pure" to me, but honestly null
esooa - esooa has lived up to how i would imagine a town!esooa would approach this game, but it's a little too early for me to back this read with any kind of confidence. i like that she attacked tutuu for townreading her too early, and i like that she broadly shaded me/acted paranoia about me without being able to substantiate it. i feel like esooa!scum might not out that scumread on me unless she felt prepared to substantiate/defend it. townlean
grogu - null, leaning scum if anything
jagged - not 100% confident about this read, but jagged's approach to the game so far just feels devoid of any particular agenda or "plan". i think jagged would be very concerned as scum about the direction the thread was taking (primarily, a "towncore" that did not include him) and do his best to fester paranoia within the towncore or to ensure that he could be included in it himself. the fact that jagged is just chilling and relaxing makes me think he's more likely to just be town that trusts his townreads to win the game. i also think his perception of me is exactly how jagged!town would perceive me as town rn
long con - feels like he's borderline open wolfing, every post has been scummy. scumlean
macdougall - broad unsubstantiated shade on jagged that he backed off on when the push didn't pick up momentum, followed by reads that feel more interested in disrupting the trust of the "towncore" than anything. havent seen any genuine observations from him yet. scumlean
made - scumlean, but has been trending up over the last couple of hours. his frustration with the existence of the "towncore" had a lot of conviction to it upon revisiting, and he seems relatively at peace with the thread in spite of the fact that as scum, he's in a pretty rough position
michelle - outed a bunch of reads that felt made up & outed solely for the purpose of giving the impression of solving. responded to my pressure on her by OMGUS'ing me and accusing me of opportunistically pushing her, while simultaneously making an appeal that implied that i'm town who doesn't know how to read her properly. her game so far is messy and scummy. scumlean
nanook - feels pure, has so many townreads that im inclined to think nanook!scum might be more worried about boxing himself in and not having many viable push options. does not feel scum motivated. townlean
nutella - tone is assertive & inquisitive & dynamic. completely different from any nutella scum world that i've ever seen. townread
tutuu - i think tutuu is more likely town than not but i have the least logical reasons to townread her out of all my townleans. probably still rand!town because of how many people i trust are townreading her and because of the fact that very few of her posts have pinged me as having an agenda

Re: Bread Mafia [Day 0]
that's part of it. i have the sample size of one scum game w/michelle and one town game w/michelle. when michelle was scum, she did OMGUS and fire back against the people who SR her extensively, and she responded in a similarly sassy way to try to deflect the suspicion off of her
when michelle was town, she actually never faced that much pressure, but i didn't see her OMGUS at all. her tone was thoughtful & considerate and she seemed very interested in reading beyond the surface
granted, i know michelle is arguing that she plays differently this time of year, but the (admittedly small) sample size i have of her suggests that this is more indicative of her scum-game than her town-game

I think Michelle OMGUSes a lot as town though. Like it's one of the defining characteristics of her town play.staypositivefriend wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 7:45 pmthat's part of it. i have the sample size of one scum game w/michelle and one town game w/michelle. when michelle was scum, she did OMGUS and fire back against the people who SR her extensively, and she responded in a similarly sassy way to try to deflect the suspicion off of her

is that meta true? if it is, then it might make her choice to OMGUS me in this game a little bit less scummy. i didn't see her OMGUS in the town game i have played w/herAlison wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 7:49 pmI think Michelle OMGUSes a lot as town though. i will say that the bigger issue i have is michelle trying to OMGUS me while simultaneously appeal to me like she knows i'm town - it's weird that she brought up the point that i'm misreading her because she ~plays differently~ at this time of year while also believing that im pushing on her in bad faith. just feels slightly inconsistent
